Stephen Curry...Big thumbs up!
Kelly the Dog replied to Lurker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Colin Kaepernick didn't say that this week, that was his original position, moron. He wasn't included in the anecdotal number. I didn't see him speak if he did indeed speak. My post was only in reference to you saying all these people were aggrieved and I found that ironic that the guy behind it didn't feel aggrieved. That said... While I still stand by my belief that "millions" of black people in America feel this way, and it's almost for sure a low estimate IMO, I shouldn't have used the couple hundred who kneeled as being anecdotal, because some of them, a lot of them, weren't automatically believing there is racial injustice. If I had to guess, I would say 100% do believe there is, but their sole act of kneeling doesn't specifically mean they do. A lot were just protesting the Orange Clown's stupid comment. So even though I'd bet all of them believe it's true, I should not have included all of them in the hypothetical. Although it's one of those you don't know for sure things, but you know for sure. -
They did. But Adam Archuleta the analyst thought the interference penalty called on Tre was a bad call and a great defensive play.
-
To all of those claiming that Tre was repeatedly picked on in the first half and was awful but came back to play awesome in the second half, in the first quarter alone he made a great play on the first play of the game, had a terrific pass breakup, had that ferocious hit that knocked Sanders back about four feet out of bounds, made one fantastic stop on a run and had two other nice plays on runs, had two passes thrown against him that were incompletions because of good coverage and had an interference penalty that was not at all interference (it was within five yards of the line and didn't impede WR while ball was in the air). The point was he made more good plays than bad ones in the first half, too.

I will admit my answer was overly snarky for no good reason and I apologize and retract it. I was very serious, however, with my two questions. I was also a huge fan of Bill Hicks, who was a brilliant guy and brilliantly funny, who often made people uncomfortable with his provocative musings and performance. Please leave our board and go back to running our country, Putin.

Actually Colin Kaepernick said he wasnt aggrieved, or more specifically been unfairly treated, he was doing because he was lucky to be in a position to not be aggrieved, and was doing it for other people, less fortunate than he, who may have been unfairly treated. Thanks for playing. -

Not sure what you are asking. All I did right there was respond to another posters specific question about how I came up with a "couple hundred" so I listed all the various places I saw or read or heard people talking about it. -

I gotta say, you crazy negroes say some wacky schit sometimes. -
But it's the sportswriters job to report what they see, opine on what they see, and get people to read and discuss what they just read. That's what they get paid for. And the more people that read and discuss them the more their employers like it. It's their life and the way they make their money and feed their families and afford their heroic bar tabs and substantial substance abuse issues. OUR job on the other hand is to choose which of these jokers to read and discuss. So we are the problem not them. I hate Jerry Sullivan and yet I will bet anyone that his bosses love him. Because of us idiots not because of his writing.
-
If they didn't write that or show that how did you know about it? I don't blame it on the sportswriters at all. They are whores. That's what whores do. It's like TV networks and film studios. The people that run them and make decisions on what shows they air WANT to broadcast little indie feel good movies and pay auteur directors to come up with amazing bizarre crap they don't even understand they can tell their 21 year old girlfriends it's art to get a quicker blowjob. But they don't because us idiots won't buy that crap. They only put out what we will lap up or buy, literally or figuratively. We're bigger morons than the morons that write about it.

Totally agree with that and it drives me nuts and I often scream like a banshee at the TV when any of my teams do that, which they often do. That said, I'm not so sure that Dennison would or will do that against a potent team like Atlanta versus Denver. Coaches don't do everything according to their set philosophy. They make decisions in game based on what they see and know and feel AND their set philosophy. We don't even know if going into the shell was Dennison's idea or Opie's or both. What I do think happened is they saw how the defense was playing, didn't think Seimien was going to beat them, and decided just then that they could play a little more conservative to win the game. They may not feel that way looking across the field at Matt Ryan.

Nope. I'm good at math in my head. I read a couple dozen comments from players, saw countless tweets, saw at least ten interviewed on TV, saw a bunch on interviews I clicked on from online, read a bunch more on places like here who paraphrased or quoted some players, as well as a bunch from commentators and pundits on tv who were talking about what certain players told them, heard a bunch on the radio and bills.com. Then I added the couple hundred players who were kneeling, most of whom but not all of whom were black, and came up with "a couple hundred." -
Coaches coach to win games not to run up stats or prove Tyrod is good. In that respect I don't think we can fault his conservatism, because we won by ten points, even though I too thought that he should have kept doing what they were doing.

I based it on the fact that every single black person who has commented on it that I have seen or read or heard, 100% out of hundreds, think this issue exists. 0% of the hundreds have said, implied, intimated or even postulated that it is within the realm of possibility that it doesn't exist. Then I started in on the math. 45 mil black Americans. A couple hundred out of a couple hundred think it exists. Zero out of a couple hundred don't believe it exists. Therefore, it's a very good chance that "millions" agree it exists versus the chance that most black Americans believe it doesn't exist but they never spoke out or no one asked them. On second thought I believe that I did see certifiable idiot and liar Sheriif Clarke imply once it didn't exist. So there is one. But that wasn't this weekend which is what I what referring to. -
Emergency Team Meeting - Regarding Trump comments?

I don't believe in institutional racism myself but a lot of people seem to. I think of the 200 or so players who kneeled they have 200 different beliefs on what the problem means. A lot are similar of course. But everyone's experience is different, everyone's POV are different, everyone would explain things different. What's been very interesting in this whole thing is how the different players are describing their feelings, especially the white players who are not kneeling. Pretty much all of them are supporting their teammates, with the possible exception of Villaneuena or however you spell it. I took your stance to mean that there is not a collective gross abuse going on at all, it doesn't exist, versus the idea that there is a gross abuse going on but it is not institutional racism it is the sum of its parts. -

I don't believe that is institutional racism at all. But that is just me. Most would. People can use that example as institutional racism of course. I don't think there is some big conspiracy. I don't think this stuff is collective. I don't think people hold meetings to discuss not hiring Lakishas. What I do believe is there are a schit ton of individual racists in this country, and they do all kinds of racist things, a lot of times not even realizing it. Which if I had to guess had a lot of influence on this particular problem. I don't at all call that institutional racism as far as the definition of it as groupthink or approved by institutions or even perhaps allowed by institutions. I see it as being a bunch of pricks doing a bunch of prick things which add up to massive prickness. Independent of each other. -

That's not what Vlad The Eliminator Tasker ordered. He ordered everyone that is racist to be immediately exterminated from your life, relative or not. You cannot ever associate with anyone who is racist, they must be incinerated.
