  1. Playing well enough on offense, 25 points a game, to beat two of the top 5-10 teams in the league in a row, both of which were undefeated at the time?
  2. Do you think going for a 55 yard FG instead of punting was conservative? Do you think basically an onside kick the Bills tried was conservative? Do you think they 5-6 long balls the Bills threw was conservative? We threw the ball long all day. We went for a 55 yard FG twice instead of punting. We tried an onside kick after a TD in the second half. We have gone for it on fourth and one.
  3. That's exactly right. It's all about what happened in this game, who can hurt you, who is playing well, etc. there is hardly ever a situation where you automatically do something because you always do it. These decisions should always be made determined by what has happened the first 57 minutes.
  4. Oh, my bad. I thought he was talking about the post game show like the thread. Now that I see what was said earlier it's clear those guys, Murph and Jones, are employed by Bills.
  5. What from Sean McDermott makes you think he will always do that?
  6. That was really a smart call and we almost got it. The guy I watch the games with, who always seems to know what is happening before it happens, said onside kick way before they tried it. Couldn't believe it. McD called a great game.
  7. Schop and Bulldog are not employed by the Bills. John Murphy and Kelso are.
  8. You're missing the point. The point is he was conservative THERE because of how the way the game was playing. He hasn't been overly conservative overall in the four games. Conservative would have been punting instead of kicking a 55 yarder. He went for the long FG because he had confidence in his kicker because he just kicked a 55 yarder and had hit ten in a row over fifty AND he had confidence in his defense because they had given up three TDs total in four games. That doesn't at all mean we will need to do that or will do that in future games. He did what he needed to do to win this game.
  9. Great INT. Not a good ball. Amari is usually good at that. Just a great defensive play.
  10. EJ threw a lot of great passes like that on the Bills. He just looked so clueless other times that fans just ignored those. He had his chances and he didn't do enough to keep a job. I think that was obvious whether you liked him or didn't. But he threw a lot of good passes.
  11. Between the two throws at least one should have been a TD. No question. Great drive by EJ.
  12. EJ just can't get a play off. Not sure if the call came in late or players weren't in place. But he does it a lot. That should have been a TD.
  13. That pass to the endzone was actually a good pass. Not a drop. But he lobbed it right in there.
  14. Because it's not about stats. Not turning the ball over was the difference between winning and losing. The franchise QB at home had four, the allegedly average QB on the road had zero. He threw long, he had a few drops, he escaped the rush amazing, he made plays when we needed them. He didn't make many mistakes.
  15. Yep. His throws don't hit the ground. Tyrod's do.
  16. He didn't even have a horrible first half. He gave up two or three plays, no touchdowns, and he made 2-3 good plays on passes and 2-3 nice plays on runs in the first half.
  17. The Raiders were so excited that EJ was finally leading the team they couldn't get set in time. Hopefully they will calm down and allow him the room to excel.
  18. I think it was ten in a row. I think it was seven before he made two last week. Then had already made one this game.
  19. I said this is another thread but the one play he made was extraordinary. He jumped the receiver as soon as the QB threw, went to deflect the pass, had his hand in position but missed it, but had his other hand and arm around the receiver, so when he did catch the ball Tre still made the tackle and and the guy just went right down without extra yards. That was a terrific play from any player let alone a rookie in his fourth game.
  20. He's faster and more nimble than people give him credit for. He makes guys miss all the time.
  21. Atlanta in the Super Bowl and winning all those games the last several years was a fluke. They are just not that good, especially at home. Nice win but means nothing.
  22. You also wanted to wind the clock down or make them use their timeouts.
  23. That has no bearing. Would you have said it was a good call to go for it if we missed and then they scored a TD to win and not tie? Again, most times I agree with you we go for it. Some extenuating situations change that decision. Actually, if you remember. We were going to go for it if it were a half yard and not if it were a full yard.
  24. That's how I saw it. In a dome, when your kicker has made 10 fifty yarders in a row, and just made a 55 yarder, I thought it was a fairly easy call. I domthink, however, there are a number of NFL coaches who stupidly would not have called for it. It's funny, but it was a 55 yarder, and I was almost sure he was going to make it. I wasn't even surprised.
