Wrong again. You're on a heroic run.
I like McBeane a ton. I like about 15 significant things they did and dislike 2. That's a great percentage. Only an idiot likes everything a GM/Coach does.
Yep. 5 of his 21 balls were long. Two he completed to Clay. One was dropped by Zay. One overthrew Zay. One just missed Kaelin Clay he might have been able to get to. Just that kind of game should stop the Bengals from overloading. He's got to hit a few. Deep to Chuck Clay should open up field.
Tyrod can play 5-10 years. His first four years he barely took any hits. There is no wear and tear on him like guys who played six years. Sure he runs but he doesn't take a ton of big hits. He's in fantastic shape and takes care of himself as well as anyone.
He can really wing it but he looks very small. And he made a bunch of bad decisions while scrambling. I havent seen a ton of him but he's no top 15-20 pick. I don't believe for a second he's 6'1". He looks smaller, or shorter, than Brees.
I heard Zay talking about Sammy after the trade and he was literally gushing about how much Sammy did for him. He couldn't believe a star like that would take the time. Granted Zay is a positive guy. He said the same about Boldin. But if anything he was at least as much or more effusive about Sammy. Watkins was talking about two years ago.
Got it. Yeah the back shoulder throw is a big boy throw. I'm not sure, however, that any college QB of any level can show he can make that throw in the NFL because the CBs are so different.
What a game.
Mayfield has two minutes.
Yep. Good game. I may be the biggest stickler to needing arm strength on the entire board. One of them for sure. I don't think there is any question Mayfield can make all the big boy throws.
It seems almost inarguable that Tyrod leading the offense of 2015 or 2016 with either the 2014 or 2017 defense would have made the playoffs.
And only because we were coached by Insane Clown Posse in those two years did he not.
Are you talking about Beane or the Panthers? Wonder how that thinking affected Beane who was still there for draft. People should never use Wilson as an example of anything. His situation was a total aberration that is likely to never happen again. He had a better season in college the year RGB had one of the best seasons in history of college football. Of the 25 things you need to play Qb he was good at 24 of them. The ONLY knock was his height and EVERYONE thought it would affect him substantially in the NFL including the Seahawks. Just a matter of how much it would affect him.
Turns out it didn't. At least not much at all.
So I doubt that sequence of events will ever happen again.
Listing them at 30 they are projecting the trend continues. If we go 12-4 and get the 30th pick that means we won a playoff game and lost in AFC championship. If that happens we probably don't look for top QB in draft. Not that they predict thus it's just we are 30 now.
