  1. Thanks, sailor. Much appreciated, fellow dog. Depending who you are, sure. As Josh said, it's "Overreaction Monday." Seemed apropos.
  2. I'm not a huge fan of the table breaking craze, but that was Godfather worthy stuff.
  3. Yep. That was pretty much a loft or lob touch pass as well. Terrific throw and catch. Knox should be huge this year with all the attention that will be paid to Diggs, Smoke, Beasley.
  4. For all intents and purposes, he was Jimmy Hoffa.
  5. He lofts passes all the time. He had another one Sunday toward the end zone to Singletary that was broken up by a Jet on a nice play. The lob was about a yard short imo and a perfect pass MAY have been a TD. But it was a clear loft.
  6. Underrated band. Dropkick is still pretty good for the Bills and they just need him to do what he is doing. I was surprised to see the seven sax in seven games stat (which is counting the playoff game). Much obliged, Gunner. Thanks again for yourself and SDS being the impetus for this.
  7. I'm back again doing a weekly column for the News. It's a fun gig and glad to be doing it again each week. Give it a read and a share and comment if you could. No animals will be hurt in the process. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/voice-of-the-fan-when-it-comes-to-josh-allen-you-can-see-whatever-you/article_1eee3d0a-f790-11ea-bd2b-4f1c790c9ee4.html Here is a little excerpt... In this most bizarre of NFL offseasons and opening days, Bills fans were not allowed to witness the 27-17 shellacking of the New Jersey Jets live at Bills Stadium. But on television, from anywhere on Earth, you could see whatever you wanted to see – about the league, game, franchise and its franchise quarterback, Josh Allen. For Allen, reception is reality. His receivers had 33 of them for 312 yards and two TDs. Allen had no interceptions and a 104 passer rating. If you’re an Allen fan, and wanted to see progression, he went through them and was consistently on target. He checked down, checked off, and checked all the boxes. He tooketh what was giveth him and taketh away much of his criticisms. His 300-yard bugaboo vaporized. If you’re an Allen hater or skeptic, you saw him gift the Jets with two aggravating fumbles and a couple of wild misses that were sure scores. He cost us 13-20 points, which you can’t do against good teams. But it was Sam Darnold who looked like what Allen detractors see in Allen. Inaccurate. Ill-advised throws. Little awareness. Not taking the team on his shoulders regardless of his teammates or coaches...
  8. Daryl Williams was very good on second viewing.
  9. Normally I hate sideline reporters because they never get any good information whatsoever after the half or game from coaches or players. But after witnessing the ESPN sideline reporter, all I could think of is Black Girls Matter.
  10. He was an 79% kicker in college. 71% last year. That’s not accurate. Big leg. Potential. But he’s not an accurate kicker yet at all.
  11. Yep. Just looked it up. During the season he fumbled 14 times and lost four. I think he fumbled twice in Houston game.
  12. The middle TE screen to Knox was excellent call and execution.
  13. He was only 20-28 last year in college.
  14. I think he lost three total. Had about ten though. Or more.
  15. That win could set us back a decade.
  16. I love Josh but he is reckless with the ball when he runs. That is unarguable at this point in his career. I want Daboll to call some designed runs, especially within ten yards from the goal line. What I don't want is three called runs in a row. Or running him often when you are up 21-0 and the passing game is clicking on all cylinders. He runs enough when pass protection breaks down. I'm not even really worried about him getting hurt. He's huge, tough, and country strong. But he's reckless with the ball and it's obvious. If McD saw this from a RB he would overrule Daboll and bench him. Run him, just half as much.
  17. I think maybe they knew they were going to throw 40-45 times. The Jets have excellent run D and their DB are bad or hurt. They just figured we’ll beat them constantly with the short pass game and a bunch of screens. That said, I agree with you that Smith will likely be active next week. But not from the fact they always wanted to sit him but realized he was sadly missed, but rather next week against the Dolphins they will have a more balanced game plan and this was always the plan.
  18. Thanks forever, fearless leader.
  19. You would like to see 80%, Dan? 90?
  20. Yep. I was only referring to putting them on the PS in response to a poster saying that teams aren't as likely to sign guys that were cut this year as much as previous years. But of course, you're right, they would have to be cut first, and since there hasn't been OTAs and preseason games to downgrade a player, teams could well rely on their draft scouting reports on a guy like Hodgins, and think he may be better than our 5 or 6 we are planning to keep.
  21. Also remember that if a player is about to be poached off the practice squad we can still sign him to our active roster if he wants to stay.
  22. Got to hand it to McD and Beane. They look for and acquire smart, hungry players. Watching Brown talk got me excited, although it's still fairly difficult for rookie WR to make big impact, especially as the 4-7 guy.
  23. That was a bigger mistake and much easier play than Duke’s. Although Duke’s was an a automatic TD and Brown’s was a probable eventual TD.
  24. They may decide Roberts can play the MacKenzie role. I think MacKenzie is a wee bit quicker and better on the jet sweeps but Roberts is still quite fast and shifty. Without the OTAs and preseason it will be harder for rookie WR to make impact so they may want to keep Duke or Foster.
  25. I know the Bills like to substitute DL in units and waves but I wouldn’t doubt if they rotate Murphy and Addison a little more on down and distance, run downs and passing downs. With Murphy playing most first and run downs and Addison playing most third and pass downs. I also think because of no preseason that Butler could push Harry for the first unit until they know he’s 100%. We have a lot of depth and a few different guys that can play inside and out so that also will likely throw off the first and second unit idea, with the coaches matching up our guys against specific OL
