  1. Agreed. That they practice everyday. McD has been great about that.
  2. I must say, they are ruining the NFL. I'm not sure how much longer I can watch. It's getting so you can't even be a reckless, selfish, reality show star, lazy Diva coach killer anymore. One more and I'm done for good.
  3. From what I saw he hasnt been running with the ferocity he did last year and especially against the Bills.
  4. The bounce straight up in the air was lucky it went right to him. The Bills as a team run to the ball and look for plays like that. I dont think the recovery was lucky per se. The great hit by Johnson caused it. But the ball could have gone anywhere. You dont practice it popping up and going to a specific spot. Good teams do seem to make their own luck though. Dont know how it works but its true.
  5. I think it was a fairly obvious conservative move to get what they could for him, which was a decent return (Matt Schaub got two second rounders), and risk that Brady doesn't get hurt this season. They knew they couldn't keep him. I don't think it says anything about what they really think about him.
  6. I thought everyone knew that Kevin Spacey was gay. It's the date-raping a 14 year old that surprises me.
  7. Great stuff, as usual, Shaw. Nice way of making people feel like they were at the game.
  8. What if Hoyer actually wants to play in the last couple years of his career?
  9. If a team throws a lot of deep drops it throws it off. If a team throws a lot of WR screens it throws it off a lot. A scrambler who looks to throw is different than one that tries to run. A team often playing from behind is going to call a lot more longer developing plays which throws it off. A team often playing ahead is going to throw a lot of short safe quicker passes throwing it off. The worst is what you mentioned, and why it's a terrible stat, because a scrambler like Tyrod has more time to throw because he is scrambling is the direct opposite of his OL giving him more time to throw.
  10. Yep. They are pissed when other teams draft scumbags.
  11. I say B+. But its seven weeks into season so it can change dramatically. White has been a stud. If you get two solid starters out of a draft I think its an A. Zay has been a big bust. I think that ends soon if not ended yesterday but up until now hes been awful. Dawkins ok. Milano has been involved in 3-4 big plays, two of which he made great plays on. But hes been pretty decent most of the time and not great. The next years pick is gravy but we dont know who it is yet.
  12. Doc... doc... doc... will... will I... doc... will I ever play lacrosse again?
  13. I wasnt talking about those kinds of plays. There were a lot on both sides. I was talking about when they both wanted to look downfield and not quick throws. Although both qbs faced quick rushes a lot on quick throws, too.
  14. I just watched every play in the condensed version of the game on Game Pass. Tyrod did not have a lot of time at all. And more importantly, he had very little room. The pockets that Carr were throwing out of often had the same amount of time to throw (which wasn't a lot), but very wide. Even when TT had time, guys were often very close to him, like a yard away. He very rarely had a lot of time to throw that wasn't because he avoided immediate pressure and did it himself.
  15. The new wrinkle of pivoting or juking 360 and then standing straight up in the middle of the field like it's a complete new snap and play is amazing. I love that.
  16. I agree that overall it did very well. Just the neutralizing of Mack was a huge factor in the game. The run blocking was mostly good and very good in the last third of the game. Tyrod had time to throw sometimes, sure. But numerous times they were on him immediately and he avoids it so easily that it seems like he has a lot of time to throw. The three reverse pivots he did (I think it was three times) and then went right back to the middle of the field I don think you can call great blocking because most QBs get sacked two or all three times. Several times he had to roll out to avoid the rush. And again, on the plays he just stood in the pocket and delivered it was often (but not always) a quick pass for short yardage. They were better than usual but not very good. That's why I said pretty good. His quick easy elusiveness imo makes them look better than they were.
  17. I watch a lot of football. A lot longer than Tyrod does. And please don't use the time to throw stat. It's one of the most ridiculous raw stats ever assembled. When he drops back, immediately gets rushed, escapes miraculously, runs to sidelines, escapes another guy, still looks downfield for the third time and then throws, it's six seconds, and you use that stat to say the OL gave him six seconds to throw if you use that stat.
  18. It was pretty good at best. Taylor did his immediate escape act so effortlessly, and THEN had a ton of time on several passing attempts that it seemed like they did well. The times it looked good were mostly 3-8 or so yard passes where he dropped back, had a pocket and immediately threw over the middle but for short gains.
  19. I watched the condensed game and just concentrated on Milano every play. He was decent to pretty good. Didn't stand out at all. Did fairly well in coverage usually. Didn't get off blocks all that well. We love the TD but it did just bounce right in his hands so that was a luck play more than skill. The strip on the KO was great. Easily his best play. He wasn't great in any way but he was decent to pretty good.
  20. KC. I think we want them to run away with it. They are going to finish in the mid 20s in the draft regardless of this game I think. So the draft pick probably isn't affected much. We don't want the Broncos getting any confidence. I see both arguments but I think we want the Chiefs.
  21. To say that TT has more time to throw because the OL does such a good job of protecting him is straight jacket material.
  22. You complained about his passing, and then said he has a great running back with him. Your second point was saying the line was considered good in the two previous years. They were considered very good run blockers and rather lousy pass blockers. Your third point was Matthews, who is a very decent possession receiver and that's it. Tyrod had a very good game yesterday and we scored 34 points. We scored 30 last week. Yes we had a lot of turnovers but the coaches are also instructing him to not make mistakes, don't force the ball, let's get three here and take a two or three score lead to help ensure a win not get more passing yards. Let's run the ball down their throats in the second half and run the clock not get more passing yards.
  23. One was perfect tackle by Leonard Johnson blasting the ball with his shoulder. One was great tip by Preston Brown and diving catch (the fourth just like this) by always in position Micah Hyde. One was good hit on ST and Milano ripping ball away. And last was Easton just being a center fielder when everyone was covered and the pass went right to him. They are forcing the turnovers.
  24. When does Badol take anything he says from a national publication, or remember things that way? Lol.
  25. Tyrod would have got away from that rush easily and maybe made a play.
