With below average line, very erratic running game, injured TE, arguably worse WR corps in the league pre KB, and rather erratic coaching. It's pretty remarkable.
Koetter was a very good college OC and then got the ASU head job and rather quickly was rather lousy. Then got an NFL job, was a pretty good OC and got the HC job and rather quickly was rather lousy.
Koetter's Way.
Doesn't seem like you're watching the games either.
I don't expect people to. But looking at raw stats and highlights doesn't tell a fraction of the story of what they are doing. It's quite the opposite of a simplified offense.
I don't think we re-sign him at all. He's a pretty good player but KB, him and Zay are all possession guys. I think Zay will be a fan favorite by the end of the season. And we go get a speed guy to spread field for KB and Zay. Along with re-sign DT for relatively low dollars.
I'm not looking for individual stats as much as affect on whole offense. How the Saints either fear him or think he's just another guy. How much their safeties creep up to stop Shady. How the field opens up for Zay and DT or OLeary. I think we spread it around a lot this week because of Lattimore so I don't expect big numbers but he could have a big affect.
One week ago we were a skyrocketing team. Then got pummeled. After next week we will be a totally different team again because at home we're not likely to be pummeled. The NFL is topsy turvy to begin with and even more so this year.
