  1. Was awesome hound
  2. Anyone recommend a good German TV series to watch? Preferably a CIA style government thing or crime show.
  3. I'll be damned Not for that
  4. This still around?
  5. That's what I think. Last year I didn't think he was good enough. He made a quantum leap this year and what no one knows is if he is capable of doing it again in the pros. If he can he could be very good. None of these guys are sure things, obviously, so I don't really want to spend more than one of our firsts on any of them. But if the Bills choose either Jackson, Rudolph or Mayfield with one of our first rounders and still have the extra first and two seconds, I will definitely be on board. I would trade up to get Rosen I think but the cost may be prohibitive. We need a lot of talent.
  6. Minneapolis was amazing. I went to seven Super Bowls total and that city was the best by far. It was freezing, yes, but so much fun. We stayed in the Marriot that was across from seven corners by University of Minnesota. The owner of the bar, Bullwinkles, which was a college bar, wrote a letter to the Buffalo News saying how great the Bills fans were and they never had better customers. That place was nuts.
  7. Another great Bills memory is a collective one, but from the opening kickoff of the 51-3 Championship Game until the Last play of the Super Bowl game was a tremendous week. We went down to Tampa on Wednesday. There were so many Bills fans there. The partying in the days before was insane. I brought a VHS tape of the 51-3 game to Nickel City Bar and they played it on a loop for three straight days. That whole time was awesome (although the city of Minneapolis did a better job than the city of Tampa Bay and me and my friends had more fun in Minny.)
  8. I very much agree with this. We wore down. And very much agree with this. They came to play and we came to watch.
  9. Yeah, the catch before the TD was ridiculous. Hard to remember a guy making two spectacular plays in a row like that to win a game.
  10. The first Biscuit game was an amazing moment. The Rosie Leaks game, Ahmad Rashad game and Roland Hooks game were tremendous fun and euphoric feelings.
  11. I watched the entire game live. Rudolph looks pretty good but is slow. I think he gets killed in the NFL but I like his arm and the way he throws. I fear he's Mike Glennon. Mayfield is dynamic but he's really small. Like 5'11" small. Very, very few guys can overcome that. I agree with the Johnny Eightball comparisons. I thought Manziel could succeed in the NFL and he was better than Mayfield in college. Could have been his ten cent head that doomed him but it could have been size and playing style, too.
  12. Well I was a kid. Ha. My memory is shot now.
  13. 9-7. 10-6 if we beat Pats once. We beat Pats once.
  14. If you are bringing stats into it shouldn't you also bring in Antonio Brown v Jordan Matthews. JuJu v Zay Zay. Bryant v Holmes or DT?
  15. There is a huge problem with Irsay and the world. There is a huge problem with Irsay and decency. There is a huge problem with Irsay and a ton of things. They just added one more to an endless list.
  16. Almost all teams every year go through huge emotional swings, good and bad streaks. If you swapped the two Jet games in the schedule the Bills would have looked to be terrible to start the season but would be one of the hottest teams in the league right now on a three game win streak and this thread wouldn't exist. BUT... They would be the same team they are now, good at home and quite average if not poor on the road. With average blocking and no pass rush, etc. And a 5-3 record. People would be predicting a better game against the Saints but the result would likely be the same either way.
  17. I just don't see how you can lump clearly inferior players with clearly superior ones into such a huge category. Guys like Goff, right now, you don't know what you have. You don't know what you have with Marriota or Winston. Wentz looks like a franchise guy now but so did Nick Foles on the same team in basically the same circumstance. Guys like Eli were once franchise but are complete also rans now.
  18. I like Lamar, too. I think he can grow. Rudolph and Mayfield scare me. I wouldn't hate either but I don't want to trade up for either either. And that's too many eithers. I would love to get Rosen because I think he is the only real good prospect but I don't think we are getting him. Darnold likely stays.
  19. I admit I liked the Rex hire. My friends with who are Jet fans said I'd hate him soon. I complained a lot the first year and hated him after the first year. I thought it was possible he learned some lessons but that was wishful thinking. He sucked.
  20. I think there needs to be at least six tiers. Each has anywhere from 3-9 players. Elite Franchise Sometimes or No Longer Franchise You Can Win With But Average Too Early to Tell Journeyman
  21. I will go into a new bar, or any time I am in a different city, which is a lot, of both, and I will almost invariably order the wings if they have them on the menu, as long as they don't have some demented variant on the simple chicken wing in their description. I will invariably ask the bartender or server if the wings are good and they will invariably say yes. They will invariably suck balls, and I will eat them anyway. And then I will invariably lather, rinse, repeat.
  22. Their offense is sophisticated though. He may not have Goff go through several progressions, that is what he is talking about. He makes his decision before the snap most of the time. But they have all kinds of formations and movement and exotic plays and playcalls. It's the opposite of a simple offense. He just doesn't put much on Goff's plate. he just says run the play and throw it to the guy they are not watching. Plus, the offense is a lot different the way they run it now from four-five games ago. They seem to do a lot more. It was incredible yesterday.
  23. If you were the coach of the Rams, and traded for Sammy Watkins - and he was drawing coverage all over the field - which he is - and if you say he is not you are lying - and your team was moving up and down the field at will almost every game - and putting up 30-50 points - and had one of the league's best offenses - would you tell your QB to target our #1 guy more or do what we have been doing. Their offense is sick. There is no reason to force him the ball.
  24. Maybe trying to peel off and eat the W off of Wilson.
