The Bills blocking is terrible. But Peterson's shortcomings are not really due to that. It's only one of them. Three of his five INTS were just terrible decisions and throws.

Same thing with Trent Edwards. He just wasn't good against pressure. He was really good at one thing. And not good at 8-9 things. His completion percentage in preseason with or without pressure was not good. But he did throw one short TD.

I really didn't understand why so many people were so blind to this. They just ignored it. He wasn't even that good.

This is something lost on Peterman fans. He didn't look good under pressure in the preseason. Did he make a couple plays under pressure, yes. Did he look really bad many more times, yes.

In his first four years they were 11-5, 9-7, 12-4, and 11-5.

I really didn't think it was possible for our defense and our team to be a bigger mess than Rex had them mid to late last year. But we are a much bigger mess right now. Rex's defense was never close to being this bad. And Rex sucked.

People should start realizing that only a dozen or so people on earth can play that position well consistently. And all Peterman ever showed since he was drafted, was an ability to make a quick decision and make a nice accurate short throw. That's it. People saw that one thing and somehow extrapolated that he can do the other 23 things that an NFL QB has to be able to do. He didn't handle the rush well in preseason. He just didn't. He threw one TD in four appearances. He didn't get the ball downfield. He made quick decisions and threw a nice accurate 10 yard pass. When that is all you do, defenses jump routes.

Peterman just threw another INT. That was pitiful and embarrassing. Hard to trust the process.

We need a lot of talent. That is for sure. But that said, it's becoming more and more clear a franchise quarterback is a necessity. I consider the Chiefs #1 almost to be a freebie, because Tre White is a bona fide first rounder regardless of the place in the first round. He would have been a decent if not good choice at 10. If we have to give up three number ones to get Rosen I think I would do it. He's going to be good. Mayfield to me would cost half as much as have half as much chance of being a franchise guy.

His teammates and coaches reportedly love him. He's a total leader. He's great coming from behind. The idea that he is a bad guy or bad attitude is foolish.

And his defense sucks. He's a terrific player and prospect.Way better imo than Goff or Wentz

Manziel was not a scramble first QB. He made half a million plays from pocket and half a million sandlot. Not to mention when people compare the two it's for numerous different reasons, some legit and others not legit.

I liked Darnold more than Rosen (before he got hurt) last year. But liked Rosen more than Darnold all this year. I think he's going to be a great pro. I doubt we can get him but maybe we make an offer they can't refuse.

Yeah, agree with that. Funny that all three of the last three years had good resumes, between Karl Dunbar and John Blake and now Wauffle. I think it was Pepper Johnson that had the most success with them, in 2014.

Hughes has a ton of talent. Dareus had more. Kyle is Kyle. Lawson may or may not be worthy of his draft selection but he has talent. Part of the coach's job is getting players to buy in. Dareus bought in before. He's apparently buying in with the Jags.

Interesting. Wauffle seems like a madman from what we had heard previous. I really thought the front four (eight with reserves) was going to excel going back to the 4-3 but they just haven't at all. They have had four different DL coaches in the last four years, which may have something to do with it, but all around a disappointment.

Awesome. Would love to see it. One note. I think the song to his mom is The Wish, which is an old song, and on Tracks. He rarely sung it in concert although I know he did once at a show when she was in the audience. Really great little song about her, and getting married, and dancing with her in the kitchen.
