Not sure how many people caught it but Trent Green observed on one play that the Chiefs employed TWO SPIES on the same play against Taylor, one on each side of the field. It's been a tragedy that the current Bills offensive coaching have not utilized him in the run game the way the previous offensive coaches did. It's funny but I used to use the expression that Marrone "neutered" Orton for a lot of his last season, and I think that's an apt word for how the current coaches are treating Taylor. Plus our blocking is atrocious.

The Clay one wasn't that. The ball went exactly as he wanted it to. When guys are wide open like that he lobs it on purpose. He misjudged how quick Peters could get to it. And Peters didn't. A little luck but he didn't throw a duck. He wanted to do that all the way. The Oleary pass he missed by one yard. Was not a good pass at all when he was wide open like that.

The difference in the defense was two-fold. 1) The DL did not get blown off the ball at the LOS and stopped the run on first down, plus most of the other downs. 2) The Chiefs don't have a ton of talent at WR outside of Hill's speed. Tre and Gaines did well so when we blitzed, which was often, Smith couldn't find wide open guys like Rivers did last week. And for some reason they ignored Kelce.

If I remember correctly they ranked the total position. Starter and one or two backups. Based on experience and potential. We had EJ and Cardale. It wasn't just Tyrod.
