Is McDermott the new McDaniels?
Kelly the Dog replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are also unsinkable and inflammable. -
They are very unlikely to re-sign Matthews only because Zay and Benjamin are both mostly possession receivers. Different kind but still mostly possession. Matthews would be redundant. They will sign or draft a speed guy and likely try to re-sign Thompson for low relative money.

Tyrod asks for pro bowl votes, gets roasted

If anyone here or anywhere was benched like that for Peterman, and then what happened to Peterman happened, precious few would have handled it with as much class as Tyrod Taylor. -

Tyler Dunne: "Dennison Stays and Tyrod Goes"
Kelly the Dog replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think there is a chance of that. The rookie starts or the Bills will already have a vet backup they signed, which they will as soon as they decide on Tyrod and before the draft. -

Tyler Dunne: "Dennison Stays and Tyrod Goes"

He's very good at old school reporting, going on the road or getting on the phone, sitting down with several people, interviewing them for background, and then putting it all together into a cogent, interesting read. Not sure either way about his sports opinions on stuff. -
Probably not going to be another from what I have heard. Was always supposed to be a limited series with distinct beginning, middle and end. Sometimes like 13 Reasons Why they become so popular they decide to expand them anyway (usually to horrid results). But the filmmakers seem to think this one deserves to just end and remain as is.

But he didn't. It was injected before he got there. -

Playing the race card, to me, means actively going out of your way to inject race into an equation that doesn't warrant race. He was not going to mention race. But then he was asked specifically about being a black quarterback, talking to a female black reporter who just recently had a few public conversations, twitter wars, and accusations about "getting the job at the Washington Post only because she was black." -

No, he wasn't even playing cards. He was an innocent bystander. Then he was handed five cards, a flush of spades, and told to lay one of them down. So he chose one of the five. -

No, he's a proud competitor and was benched for a completely unprepared fifth round rookie in a huge conference game in the middle of a close playoff race, who literally played the worst game in the history of football. And then he was put back in and they won. So he was telling people how stupid that was. The Bills tell their fans to go vote for the Bills players. -

it totally matters. She was doing an in depth article about him. She was able to get him to open up and speak at length about stuff. It wasn't a press conference or anything it was a feature article and she was new to the News. They spoke about all kinds of things over a long period of time. A black reporter will often ask a black person about the black experience and how it differs from their POV. She was asking specifically about that. He didnt bring it up he was asked about it, and he said what he felt. And said this has always been the way it was since he was a little kid. That is not playing the race card. He's a humble guy. -

He didn't "play the race card." He was sitting in a lengthy interview, 40 minutes, with a black female reporter Kimberly Martin, who asked him specifically about what he thought about it in one question, and then he responded. -

You're right. I just timed it on my own twitter. I went slow. Took 11.9 seconds. There are only just over 600,000 of them things a week. He's wasting way too many. -
He's important if not essential to the defense because he is a solid player, a good tackler, and most important, the drop-off behind him is huge, which is partly a McBeane problem. He played as poorly as anyone in the Chargers game but was good against the Chiefs (although they have one WR and decided not to use him).

Yeah, but what does one TD really mean when you are in a close playoff hunt and have lost one game by six points and one game by four? -

He called 4-5 against the Chiefs according to Dennison. Start voting early and often! -

Doesn't fit. Tomlin had a defensive background but he is not a "defensive" head coach. He's a manager/leader/CEO head coach like Marv was. Rex would always run "a Rex Ryan defense." Sean McVay would be an offensive head coach. He takes over the offense and uses his system and leaves the defense to Wade. Marv was an overseer. There are both kinds of head coaches. Tomlin is an overseer. He basically let LeBeau run the defense. -

What? Fournette is third in the league in yards per game and seventh overall. Kamara isn't even the best RB on his team. I love the guy and said so here but Ingram, another first rounder, is fifth in the league. Freeman is 21st. Ajayi was benched and traded for nothing. Gordon was fourth in yards from scrimmage last year and tenth this year. -

Maybe. Seems like the old folks are the ones that don't like it and the young folks do, which may be their plan.
