  1. Great game. Brees is just fantastic.
  2. Then he did it again!
  3. That was pretty much a terrible decision, too.
  4. Man, is Kamara a great player.
  5. And you accomplish a solid passing game with Brady Quinn, Chad Henne, or a faltering Matt Cassell?
  6. Great call, play, execution, route, pass.
  7. That was inviting the Saints back into the game like inviting a girl out to dinner.
  8. That was as stupid as you can get, and even more dumb in a 17-7 playoff game.
  9. We were talking about Mangini there. Daboll held that job in those places, yes.
  10. He hates to kick! Obviously I was being a wiseass.
  11. Yeah, he did coach both offense and defense. Belichick hired him first as an offensive guy, and has gone back and forth but more defense. You're right. I just remember reading and hearing about him micromanaging the Browns when he was there. Don't know about the Jets.
  12. He likes to run, and he likes to pass, and he likes the RPO. In some seasons on some teams they passed a lot, and on some teams they ran a lot, with varying degrees of success, with an assortment of good and bad players, on great and lousy teams, with smart and dumb coaches. He has done very well with some guys and not so well with others, at different times under diametrically opposed situations. I feel really strongly both ways about him.
  13. Ha. True everywhere. Every time.
  14. So many elements go into the development of a rookie or young QB that to me it's impossible to really gauge it. Obviously, the rookie has to have elite talent. Less than a third of them do. They have to be coachable, extremely hard workers, have playmakers around them and blockers in front of them.
  15. One thing that needs to be said is that in Daboll's previous stops as OC, two of them were under two very crappy offensive HC who stuck their mitts all over the offense, Mangenius and Tony Sporano. So it's hard to even blame him for much of it. The one time with a defensive HC, Romeo Crennell in KC, unsurprisingly he had a good run game (Jamaal Charles) and a crappy passing game (the floundering Matt Cassel).
  16. I don't either love or hate the hire but there are a bunch of things to be at least hopeful about. It's almost impossible to hire a top OC because there are so few of them that are consistent. They have to have players, a good guy ahead of them, good organization and a good QB. Obviously it helps three of the top minds in the game like him. If he was the one that immediately changed the offense for the second half of the national championship game versus Saban, then I am very impressed. It's impossible to know. I like that he is likely a Bills fan, and he has a ton of experience while still being pretty young. Part of a lot of winners. There is a lot to like. In the end, for me, there were a lot more guys I didn't want than did. I'm good with this. Welcome back to Buffalo, Badoll Bills!
  17. Dion Dawkins, who was next to him on the play, and next to him most of the season, said he didn't hear anything like it, and that if Incognito ever said anything racially offensive, Dawkins would have been in his face himself. Doesn't mean it totally didn't happen. I assume he said something stupid. But it may not have been so bad.
  18. There is no room for two McCoys in Buffalo or on this team. We already have the real Slim Shady.
  19. Phew! For a couple days there I thought what had to happen wasn't going to happen. Now Castillo although I don't think that's a foregone conclusion. Depends on what new OC wants.
  20. In honor of the return of the tremendous Peaky Blinders...
  21. Not sure how it is refreshing to anyone to hold a year end press conference with both the HC and GM and learn absolutely nothing. Why have it?
  22. I just saw 3-4 others on Facebook through out the season. Don't really have link but they are around I imagine if you google her name or look her up on FB.
  23. She has done a bunch of those. They're usually pretty good.
  24. Bob Lamb! Great to see you, bud. Maybe. My point was more that they don't have any idea of their realistic alternatives, and they surely want a veteran backup if not starter, so they don't intend to get rid of him unless and until they find a better alternative in their minds, which they may not.
