  1. Was that the year Fred got hurt in the middle of an MVP season, and then half the WR room got hurt? Asking for a friend.
  2. Hopkins is great, maybe #1 in the league. Fitz even 2-3 years ago was still pretty great. I think it would be an easy decision to choose Brown over Fitz right now (Larry Fitzgerald may be the nicest most liked person in the entire NFL). I think Beasley is probably better than Kirk who is pretty good. What makes our three great, IMO, is how complementary they are. Both Diggs and Brown can go deep. All three are good over the middle. Diggs and Beasley can work out of the slot. All three run excellent routes AND have good hands and awareness. Look at that play today by Zay Jones. Great pass, he just couldn't track it in the air. All of our three are excellent fundamental WR.
  3. Forget 4-5, even though Davis seems very good. Forget TE and RB. Would you trade our #1 Diggs, #2 Brown, and #3 slot Beasley, for any other team's top three wide receivers? Several teams have a very good three. But because of their varied, all around, and especially complementery skills, I don't think I would. Beane is a genius.
  4. Ha. "It was a C+ because of that one 9 yard first down!" "You're nuts! D-! On that 3rd and 8 he got 7 yards! They should have gone for it!"
  5. Agree. When we just play our regular bend but don't break it usually works but not always and hasn't at all this year. When we are aggressive, to me we play better. In earlier seasons it made more sense to play this way because the offense was unreliable and if we gave up over 20 it was usually a loss. Now, it makes little sense. Even if we gamble and lose, the O can bail us out.
  6. But 3.9 is an A and somehow wasn't all A's.
  7. Impossible to know if he will return to high level play. He looked quite quick to me today on first blush, and he is a playmaker. IF he is anything close to returning to high level NFL CB (not talking about when he was great, just good) it will be a tremendous bump for this defense, turning a weakness, Levi, into a strength. And allowing the defense to do all kinds of other stuff because of it/him.
  8. There are endless college professors that grade with + and -.
  9. Ha. Good point. I thought for some reason you were criticizing fans for not understanding that call.
  10. No question. Again, I hardly ever criticize his hero ball. I think we expect too much out of a guy like him. He escapes trouble 90% of the time. He holds the ball way too long and THEN makes a great play on a regular basis. It's incredible. People want to take all of the good on those with few or none of the bad. This particular play though, was an outlier. It was criminally dumb because of FG range up 14 mid fourth quarter.
  11. The non-fumble by Carr was a worse call. Ridiculous to call that forward progress.
  12. I rarely, rarely criticize Josh for those kinds of plays. I totally accept his hero ball and never want to stifle or censor him in any way when he tries to make a play to win the game. The risk reward is 90% in his favor. The bonehead play people are talking about was not that. It was plain dumb.
  13. Of course you can. But the time of the game is a huge factor in whether the mistake is consequential or non-consequential. That play is a nothing in the first half, but rather large when it happened.
  14. The funny thing is, Josh is not that much different than Tim the Enchanter. Huge. Fearless. Never ever give up. Throws fireworks.
  15. Even though it was not a turnover, that mistake was far bigger than a normal play where he does the same thing by knocking us out of FG range in a 14 point game which all but wins it. That takes it from a stupid mistake to an intolerable mistake. And in turn, we likely had to recover an onside kick to secure the win. Not that Bass's FG would have been automatic but still.
  16. One by Diggs. One by Singletary. I didn't think the Knox one was a drop if it's what I am thinking of, too hard and low.
  17. RIP Danny. A legend.
  18. The Bills version of Chao on Twitter, "@BangedupBills is very good at this. After the injury but before we saw him play he said, "Hoping for AC joint, worry for something more like labrum, he was shaking out his hand which signifies that he stretched out the brachial plexus, feels like a stinger down."
  19. 'Tis but a scratch.
  20. Exactly. It's what lets Josh be Josh. If he did what people want him to do, he would have 2-3 less bad plays and 9-10 less good ones. Unless you expect him to make the right decision 99% of the time, which is stupid.
  21. Gotta give one to Jefferson for the one single play, which was enormous at the time. Norman, too. Otherwise... Josh Diggs Beasley Milano Daboll
  22. I say A, knocked down because of the one hugely intolerable stupid play. Other than that he was fantastic.
  23. Seems to me that all but assures he’s playing. Otherwise why do it today when stuff can happen today or tomorrow.
