  1. 1) Yessest. 2) Yesser. 3) Yes.
  2. And, of course, run it, which is the right call.
  3. That was somewhat informed speculation by a sportswriter only. And wasn't jumped on by other insiders. It could very well still happen but not a foregone conclusion at all.
  4. That kind of technicality, and letter of the law versus spirit of the law stance is obnoxious as hell. Meaning I agree with you 100%.
  5. Someone is very likely to give him a headscratcher contract and then be left scratching their head a year or two later. He's a very good player when healthy though. Usually I'm someone who gives "injury prone" players the benefit of the doubt because a lot of times they are fluke occurrences even if it's three years in a row. Less times, but IMO this one, the player's frame and the player's game are injuries waiting to happen. And they do. He just looks like that kind of player. I'd love to keep him but so,some is going to overpay so it may be unlikely.
  6. Yup. And not a good one either. That should be an asterisk situation.
  7. Landry would never come close to passing the McDermott/Beane merit badge test.
  8. That stat is stupid. Yes he held the ball too long at times but leading the league was 90% because he scrambled so much and run around and eluded guys and still tried to throw. That's also why he was sacked so much. But the majority of the dropbacks guys were on him almost immediately. Two seconds. It became five-six because he was running for his life. The blocking was horrible outside of playaction.
  9. Outside of our run blocking and pass blocking being lousy the entire season, you make good points. And I don't think Gipson was fired as much as he was simply shone the door.
  10. He's saying, to anyone who knows anything about football, that it was a run/pass call depending on how the defense set up. All defenses would have basically done what Jax did against the Bills. Tyrod's read, depending on the setup of the defense was the pass to KB. It wasn't a choice of pass or run. If the D does A you pass, if the D does B you run. But every D was going to do A, which was load the box. That's why he said if you want to run call a run. It wasnt really an option. Tyrod was being Tyrod. He was saying it was a terrible call without throwing anyone specific under the bus. Yeah, that's you, Dennison, on the unemployment line.
  11. He's not going to say he will take a pay cut, now, at the Super Bowl, in public, a few days after Alex Friggin' Smith just got 71m guaranteed. Ain't gonna happen and has zero to do with whether he will eventually take a pay cut here.
  12. For a lot of teams, there are reasons for and reasons against, as you say. There is not going to be a reason for the Bills next year though because they are going to draft a QB higher than the 5th round. That's a given. They are also going to sign a veteran QB (or keep Tyrod). That is also a given. There is no reason whatsoever to waste a roster spot on a SECOND young guy you are developing you know doesn't have the potential of your other draft pick. It doesn't even make any sense. Those roster spots are too valuable.
  13. He was there already when we got there in 1976. He ran the intramurals programs and we became friends. He got me tickets to Bills games in various cities over the years. He's a really great, generous guy. Congrats, Bud.
  14. He did con a really hot girl into having sex with him. So it's not as though he has done nothing.
  15. Keep Benjamin. Re-sign Thompson cheap. Send Zay to a shrink. We then need to get both a legit speed guy who can catch. A guy like Goodwin. And a reliable #2 in free agency. I don't think we can count on Zay. DT is a #5. Benjamin will be good with a speed guy that can actually make plays downfield.
  16. It's not the end of the Peterman era, it's the end of the Peterman error.
  17. Lucky Sperm said that?
  18. And yet they still speak with more clarity, accuracy and logic than you.
  19. Because AJ McCarron cannot make a play?
  20. Peterman has about as much chance of being on the Bills 2018 regular season roster as SaviorPeterman. There will not be room for him.
  21. And Tyrod is the quintessential McDermott Eagle Scout. And did McD blame himself or Tyrod? No.
  22. Not sure why people think McDermott hates Tyrod. He let a OC talk him into a huge risk. It was an epic failure. McD admitted in public he made a huge mistake - something coaches rarely do - he reinstated Tyrod - they made the playoffs - then he fired the OC. He may or may not want Tyrod back but there is little in his actual actions or statements to make you believe he doesn’t.
  23. He’s always been a great guy. But if he knew he was gone I really doubt he would have used those words. He would have used a different tact to say he will be missed. The only way imo he wouldn’t have done that is to make it appear to other teams that he is always a team player. Guys do that all the time. He’s not that kind of guy to me though. Impossible to know for sure. I just thought his choice of words, being who he is, was interesting. Surely not definitive.
  24. I don’t really think it means much. And I haven’t read the entire thread to see if it was discussed previous. But after the Eric Wood announcement (not press conference), Tyrod made a little video saying “we’ll miss you in the locker room” or huddle. The point of course meaning he still may think of himself on the team. If he knew he wasn’t coming back it’s not likely he would have couched it like that. Maybe. But I think unlikely.
  25. I saw Lisa Lampanelli tell Jeff Ross “you have disappointed more fat women than Jenny Craig.”
