  1. There is a guy who has worked for the Patriots and for Gronkowski whose nickname is "The Thief" but no one around the team thinks it could possibly be him.
  2. "The Citizen Kane of Alcoholic Clown Movies" was a line from the original Boston Globe review of the movie, by a critic Betsy Sherman. It's my all-time favorite review. Babe was a few years after that, so they probably stole it. Ha. Although if you're gonna steal, you may as well steal from the best. He does dumb **** all the time. I don't think he is overly dumb. And I used to like him, as a harmless goofball who was a little doofy and goofy. Now I hate him because of the cheap shot.
  3. He might, repeat might, be able to do a remake of Shakes the Clown, although the original, with Bobcat Goldthwaite, was "The Citizen Kane of Alcoholic Clown movies."
  4. They could make Dumb and Dumber and Dumbest.
  5. You can despise the management you thought screwed you and still love the place you played in.
  6. The RPOs the Eagles were running and the ones being discussed and you were referring to, were post-snap RPOs and not pre-snap RPOs, which is what the Bills ran. Similar concept but different animal.
  7. Yup. And Monsanto, or whomever makes those plastic folding tables, will buy up all the commercial time.
  8. Except the Bills play wasn't an RPO.
  9. I think a lot of calls the Pats get rightfully they should get. I also think they get way, way more than the benefit of the doubt as well. I'm not at all a homer when it comes to bad calls. I think and say here when I think a call against the Bills was the right call all the time. On that particular play, from the final replay they showed, from the sideline, Ertz grabbed the ball at the six yard line. He didn't bobble it the entire way to the endzone. He had clear possession, made football moves, ran a few yards, and then clearly dove. He lost it well after he proved possession. If he had caught it at the three and then did what he did there may have been a good argument and the Jesse James play might come into affect. But he didn't. He caught it at the six and had clear possession, which is what they ruled.
  10. Maybe they meant Kizer Sose.
  11. I repeat. He caught it at the six yard line.
  12. I wonder if his cheap shot glasses were stolen.
  13. But you said it was about the league.
  14. True. But it was mostly the same order of players, as well as the difference between them. I always thought dropped passes was a dumb stat because football people, be they fans, coaches, players or media, have a huge variation in what constitutes “a drop.” But if if you’re looking at the same person or entity listing the drops, using the same criterion for all of them, it’s a fairly useful stat.
  15. Loser. You missed one of if not the most entertaining and fun Super Bowls ever, it was extremely lower case patriotic, the Pats lost and didn’t get the just give it to ‘em calls they normally do, there were numerous spectacular plays, underdogs galore succeeded. It couldn’t have been much better. Your loss. And the Pats. You really showed the league, too.
  16. My wings were great. The second best thing was probably the wings, with the wings and the wings tied for third and fourth. Super Bowl is like New Years Eve. Amateur night which is always overrated. I'm talking parties, drink and food, not the game. So you should mess around with fancy menus or cocktails or people for that matter. Dance with who brung ya.
  17. I have no idea of the veracity of this but it would make sense, especially if it were just a few minutes late. Although a terrible look for Butler to insist that he had no idea why.
  18. Less than zero chance.
  19. Yep. Exactly why I said unless they wait on the franchise guy. That may be the play depending on the veteran backup. I think we are obviously going to know a lot more about the direction before the draft. If they have a guy like Kizer and a guy like Bridgewater or Foles or even Tyrod, I doubt we draft a QB high.
  20. To me it's the same reason that Peterman is not going to be on the roster next year though. They are highly likely to draft a QB of the future. And free agency is before the draft. And they want a veteran bridge QB to start and to mentor the kid. So I don't see them having Kizer and Mayfield or Rudolph or Allen or Jackson or whomever. It doesn't make much sense to me unless they wait on the franchise guy.
  21. It's pretty remarkable that it's higher than Philly. Buff is a great sports town.
  22. It's very possible IMO that if you put Brady on those 49 teams he's not as good as Montana or Young. He's great. And he's throwing to Jerry friggin Rice. But he gets hit and hurt and flustered a lot more and just isn't as effective. And then if you put Montana on the Pats. He's great and they win a few Super Bowls. But he's not as great as Brady.
