If I said "early rounds" and someone interpreted or exaggerated that to mean I said "first round" - which to mean is a completely different animal, I think I would probably say it "wasn't close to that," because it's not. The different between a guy who will go 1-32 and a guy who will go 1-96 is substantial. That's like saying Dion Dawkins or Marquis Goodwin was going in the first round.

We'll see. I have nothing against Garoppolo. He didn't play enough in NE for me to hate him. And I didn't see all of the SF games so maybe I would have been more impressed. I think when he starts getting some pressure of the franchise guy with that big contract and DL hunting for him and some film on him he's going to be called the Garoppolo Turtle.

It was always my opinion, and obviously still all conjecture, that if Scott Norwood had that exact same kick in ten different Super Bowls he would have made it 8 of those 10 times. Maybe 7.

What would Nick Foles stats be. Same two teams. Let's not consider if Belichick had a week to look at film and do it all over, or decide to play Butler. Just if they had to play it again same way. I think he probably has a good but not great game. Two TDs and two picks. 25-44. Let's say 298 yards. The Eagles are up but lose the lead late and end up losing by 10. Obviously all conjecture. But who thinks he would be as good or better and do it again? Who thinks he would be great but not that great. Who thinks he might tank? What say you?

Yeah, Foles has looked very good less than half of his career, regardless of the coach. But very few QBs are consistently very good. It's tough to say whether the light has really come on for him, which is quite possible, or he's just the equivalent of a super streaky shooter in hoops or goal scorer in hockey.

The hilarious thing about it, of course, is that it's more sane, fair, and logical than 90% of the trade proposals here or anywhere.

Barton Fink was excellent. And RIP John Mahoney. A damn decent actor. Loved him in Say Anything, which was one of the best teen movies ever made.

Talk. The fact he didn't spend all his money is a smart thing to do, obviously, but it also could have simply been one person telling him to do it, him agreeing, and then just doing it. It doesn't automatically make him smart, which he doesn't seem to be after listening to him a few dozen times. He could be as smart as, let's say, The Jerk.
