  1. But what if they don’t play well but win. Beat Seattle. Go to 7-2. Will you be disappointed?
  2. In one way to look at it, no one play ever wins a game. Ever. Too many other factors. I agree with you on that. Completely. In another way, which I was getting at, if there is a single play late, and there are zero plays after it that could change the result, like a Hail Mary or a TD on the last play, that one play won the game. I extrapolated that concept to Zimmer’s fumble. There were no plays left to change the result (kneel downs notwithstanding). Granted, the Pats may not have scored. May have missed the game tying FG. But we didn’t seem able to stop them and that one play stopped them with no chance of tie or loss. I know you understand this. We need a CB! Ha. Hope you’re well, good sir.
  3. Thanks a lot for posting this, Hap. And even more for agreeing! Ha. We have suffered so many of these the opposite way, we HAVE to enjoy when we win like this, actually making the play. It wasn’t luck. Zimmer intentionally and specifically punched the ball out. It wasn’t a fluke. We made the play. Legit. And won. It was great.
  4. Ha. One of my favorite one-liners of all-time. Nice usage, e.
  5. Thanks. Hap! Appreciate the plug. Been crazy busy and haven’t been able to keep up with some stuff. Beasley was in Bease Mode all game.
  6. Good news. Although he’s not nearly as effective without a pinpoint passer. Little tidbit: The Patriots' healthy receivers on the 53-man roster: Damiere Byrd, Gunner Olszewski and Jakobi Meyers.
  7. Beane would need his magic and probably a genie to be named later to pull this one off.
  8. They still have Kroft and Gilliam, yes? Knox wasn't ready to play anyway. It sucks but it's not going to affect this game that much.
  9. This came out today, a little late, and is a preview as much as review. I've been crazy busy at work this week and haven't read a lot of the gloom and doom. Go Bills! https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/voice-of-the-fan-any-given-nfl-sunday-monday-tuesday-thursday-the-bills-ship-can/article_1b83e630-120a-11eb-8807-5bf3642e248a.html?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_The_Buffalo_News&fbclid=IwAR2gVPIsIAKecrXsY3CNZEkUtIsNwwchHKz8SDn7bEQtBJ-Ae1CDdFSO9Bc
  10. I imagine because the season is about a third over after 5 games and they already paid him 5/16
  11. If he is good friends with Larry Fitzgerald and Lorax you know he is a very good dude and teammate.
  12. They should cancel the game this week. Add a week onto the end of the season. Play the Bills game then. And as punishment for the Titans, they lose their home field advantage and they play the game at Bills stadium in the cold.
  13. No doubt. Thankfully, I think he really likes it in Buffalo, gets along great with his head coach, loves the guys and team he has acquired, his his franchise QB, and the team is on the way up quickly. There is no reason at all for him to want to leave this situation. He's in a good spot and it seems like his family already found out the charm of the city and its people. Some team may offer him two boatloads of money when his five-year contract is up, which is why the Pegulas would be wise to get close to his asking price now if they are indeed talking.
  14. Yeah, that is really true, and another good part of his plan. He uses all available options equally, not afraid to make the big move, but also doesn't gamble with the cap. He's been terrific. Yeah, it has to be soon. The longer they wait the higher it will be, although I imagine they have approached him already. He is likely holding out for a little more.
  15. The recent installment. A look back and what Brandon Beane has done as we bask in the 4-0 start. Please read. Reflect. Sip tea. Look longingly out the window at the birds. Comment. Argue. Pick nits. Assert otherwise. Rinse. Repeat. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/voice-of-the-fan-brandon-beane-and-the-beane-counters-deserve-our-praise/article_cdb26384-082a-11eb-97ea-1f4170eaee36.html An excerpt... "The total revamping of the wide receiver corps from the absolute worst in the league to inarguably the top five – and arguably the very best from top to bottom – is emblematic of the entire team, and the job that Beane has done. Especially when considering the combination and complementary nature of various skills of the pass-catchers. In this light, the difference between the Sammy Watkins trade and the Stefon Diggs trade may be the distinction between previous Bills General Manager Doug Whaley and Beane, and I was a huge supporter of the Watkins trade at the time. The difference between gamble and genius. Devin Singletary was a surprise third-rounder last year to many fans. Then, apparently, Motor had it put into his rookie contract that the first guy he encounters in a game on any play cannot tackle him. Draft picks such as Dawson Knox and Daryl Johnson flash mad skills and equal potential. Like the receiving corps, the offensive line was rebuilt last year with big and small names such as Mitch Morse, who solidified the middle and line calls, plus massive Jon Feliciano, Quinton Spain, Ty Nsekhe and Cody Ford. En masse, they instantly and drastically upgraded the pass and run blocking. This year, the line has provided Allen with time to order and eat a double order of wings in the pocket while he canvasses the entire field and then dissects the opposing defense. Here and there, with little fanfare, Beane harmonized name acquisitions with smart, shrewd, free-agent signings such as Andre Roberts – after a Pro Bowl season with the Jets – and swifty, shifty mini-menace Isaiah McKenzie – on waivers after he was released in the 2018 midseason by the Broncos. And along the way, Brandon periodically massaged his roster by getting rid of Bill-killers such as Zay Jones..."
  16. Thanks for that. Would have been a great article if the writer spent half or a third of the time with PFF and Monsoon.
  17. He'd still be Zay Jones and still suck.
  18. I will gleefully admit that is the kind of play I like when it works and scream obscenities when it doesn't. Not to be confused with plays that do work but are still stupid.
  19. So, just curious, for the 2020 season you would trade all three of our guys for all three of the chiefs, browns and seahawks guys and we would be better? Not saying you're wrong. But would like to know the reasoning.
  20. I must say, that Nathan Peterman has never thrown as bad a pass as that.
  21. Good point. I don't think there is a clear answer here but, please answer these three questions, for THIS season not for future seasons. Like, for example, for 2020 I would want John Brown over Gallup. They could be a wash for sure. Gallup is good. If I was starting a team I would want Lamb over Beasley. If I wanted a guy for 2020 I think I want Beasley over Lamb. It's a fun argument. I said three in purpose.
  22. Not always.
  23. Very true. There seems to be a bunch of contradictory rules in the NFL. What happens if a WR has two feet in bounds in the end zones and possession but the ball is OB and may not be over the end zone?
  24. Yup. My argument would be I would rather have Diggs than Cooper. I would rather have Brown than Lamb right now. If we are saying that in 2-3 years Lamb will be better than Brown. I like Beasley more than Gallup, and again, I like the complementary skills of our group. Cowboys and Falcons are both good though. Would you, right now, trade Diggs, Brown and Beasley for Cooper, Lamb and Gallup? I think its something to consider. I would not. Who would here? When healthy, Evans and Godwin are an impossible twosome to beat.
  25. Not Cowboys. Jones and Ridley are great when Jones is 100%. Gage is pretty good. Right now, would you trade Diggs, Brown, and Beasley for Ridley, Jones and Gage. It's a good question. I don;t think I would.
