  1. He worked his ass off, was fearless under the rush, and got murdered on and for that team. Never did a thing selfish on the field. Was VERY prepared, super smart, studied film. The "selfish" is just stupid criticism.
  2. And Highsmith shouldn't go around badmouthing kids in college, he was one of the Miami Hurricanes who wore army fatigues to the Fiesta Bowl National Championship game because they thought they were warriors, then got embarrassed and lost to Penn State 14-10. Miami may have had the best team of all time and were punks.
  3. I live in LA too and know a bunch of serious UCLA fans and most of them loved him, and don't think he is a douche at all. It depends on whether or not you think a guy that speaks his mind is a douche. Not to mention that it was a fact that Kelly, Thurman, Andre and Bruce were all douches and egomaniacs coming out of college and well into their careers.
  4. I said before the draft that it wasn't my first choice, but I would not mind taking Roquan at 12, then Rudolph or Jackson at 22 and keeping the rest of our picks. That would go for Edmunds, too. I wouldn't mind Edmunds, Rudolph, and then having the two second rounder and taking Chark or Pettis or even James Washington for Rudolph and one of the good OL still available.
  5. That's kind of a ridiculous article. Someone tells him he should go ask Rosen's girlfriend, then he doesn't go ask her, but he thinks that's a bad sign? I am personal friends with both Troy Aikman's college GF of several years and Aaron Rodgers college gf of a few years, they are both awesome women, and I wouldn't take their word for whether they were good guys or not, or whether or not it was a good idea to draft them.
  6. Hell, probably thrown in an original Pizza Log.
  7. I doubt they carry three. Teams used to carry three. Two has been more of the norm in the last few years. I would put money on Peterman being cut, no one taking him, and then he goes to the PS. There is no reason to keep him on the active roster. You would never dress him for the game. If one of your two ahead of him get hurt in a game you just put him on the active roster. No one is going to sign Peterman to their active roster off the Bills PS. One thing I didn't mention is that if the other team offers a contract to your PS guy they MUST put him on their active roster for at least three games. They can't put him on their own PS. And if you match or beat their offer he must be put on your active roster of 53.
  8. Yep. They were pretty bad. He was the QB in the famous Stanford band game.
  9. You have to be eligible for the PS. I will find a link that shows the relatively new rules. You have to be put on waivers first, so any team has a right to claim your third QB if he is released. If he clears waivers then he can be signed to your PS. And workout with the team but not dress for games. At any point, a team can try to sign him off your practice squad with no competition. What happens is, the player's agent informs the team that another team has offered your guy a contract. You can then offer him that same contract or even more, and then the player chooses which team he wants to sign with. Here are the rules... https://www.hogshaven.com/2017/9/2/16246584/how-it-works-nfl-practice-squad-rules-eligibility-salary-and-more-redskins-nfl
  10. but there was no debate about Elway's talent whatsoever. Everyone knew he was going to be the #1 overall pick. Everyone expected him to be a stud. I rarely remember any negative about Elway as a prospect. As I said up top, he was probably the top QB prospect of all time.
  11. Beane and Gettleman are buddies. I doubt he meant the Bills.
  12. While what you say is true, it's a little different for QB coaches and coaches in general. They almost always build their guys up. A QB coach doesn't really have to take the blame because there is the OC and HC above him making decisions and the player himself who usually gets the blame if he sucks. In fact, you rarely hear about a QB coach who stinks or gets the blame. They usually get credit when the player does well but not the blame when he does poorly. Look at David Lee. Paler went out of his way to promote a guy that was getting boatloads of criticism for his shortcomings. I imagine he believes most of it. How well Allen does is a huge question mark regardless.
  13. John Elway's teams had losing records when he was there. 20-23 as a starter. Never went to a bowl game. He was arguably the best QB prospect of all time, one of the best QBs of all time, a SB winner and a Hall of Famer.
  14. I didnt. That's why I said Palmer has Allen as a client.
  15. Allen said the longest he has thrown the ball is 82 yards if that is what you mean.
  16. I think they may have had a pretty good team. They won the championship all five years he was there. he redshirted in year one, and barely played in year two and three, so you can't really even say he elevated his team all that much.
  17. If he just cleaned up his accuracy? That's like saying, if Flint, Michigan just cleaned up its water it would be Gross Pointe.
  18. Grand Tetons is right!
  19. I'll bet every dollar I can get my hands on that Josh Allen nails his mechanics on 95% of his throws in mini-camp and 85-95 in training camp. The only time QBs lose their mechanics is in real game situations with guys rushing them full speed.
  20. Yep. Some clear similarities, a bunch of differences.
  21. That one in the lead was offsides by a mile.
  22. Everyone is insane, and rightfully so, over the Sabres imminent top pick Rasmus Dahlin. And yet the other guy the Sabres just signed, Lawrence Pilut, was just named the top defenseman, and the top Swedish born defenseman, and had better stats, in the same league as Dahlin played in.
  23. That could only mean one thing, and I don't know what it is.
