  1. Every single one of these kids at the highest level is an ego maniac. Big Ego is a great trait for a professional athlete. You can't be great without it. Some guys know or are coached or taught to say the politically correct thing when they are interviewed. And we get nothing out of it. Tyrod was furious when he was benched. As pissed as Rosen was. Fred Jackson was furious with the Bills when they lowballed him with a contract they knew he had to sign. As pissed as Rosen. And yet they went up to the podium and lied about it. Some fans would say they were being diplomatic and they were being good guys. But they were telling their teammates and officials and friends and family the complete opposite. I don't see this as being a great guy (although both of them were). The point is that Rosen is arrogant and not afraid to tell people what he thinks. He probably did change his mind from predraft to post draft. Most all other guys in his position are arrogant and are afraid to show their true selves. It's clearly hurt Rosens status before and after the draft. I understand why people hate it and don't want to hear it. But know that those same people are being lied to and bamboozled by endless streams of pro athletes just as arrogant but scared to be themselves in front of the cameras. And are real pricks off stage. Rosen may be one too. I don't know. A lot of reports both ways. Personally I find his act refreshing. And not because I like him as a player. I would find Riley Ferguson refreshing if he was like that.
  2. Peterman was on pace for ten. It's entirely possible that the first half could have been his good half, and he would have finished with 11-12.
  3. Thurman had a rue the day rant and used it his entire career and rode it all the way to the Hall of Fame. I truly don't see how feeling snubbed, which everyone of these guys would have felt if chosen forth, and then saying I felt snubbed and I'm going to use it to motivate me and prove these people wrong is bad in any way. Just another example of fans wanting owners and execs and coaches and players to be honest in interviews and then hating it when they get it.
  4. Yep. The Bills intentionally resigned him by not offering him a contract.
  5. Why anyone would want the Bills to waste any reps or individual instruction on Peterman instead of Allen, any more than they would on an UDFA during mini-camp, training camp, or the preseason is not only beyond me, it's criminally negligent.
  6. 26 linked a small blurb earlier but the other Swede D the Sabres signed was just named the best defenseman in the same league that Dahlin played in, as well as the best Swedish born player in the league, and led defensemen in scoring, and he's only 22. It remains to be seen how his game translates to the NHL but he could be an added attraction.
  7. I'm thinkin' his chute didn't open more than once.
  8. In a word, HELL NO! As evidenced by what the Bills spent for him, they don't either. It's QB3 money. When we had no starter.
  9. I am a completely twisted person, I make my living using my imagination, and the answer is no.
  10. The first one looks bad. But if you realize that it was 4th and 14 and they went for it, it tells a different story. The second one was right in the receivers hands and he has to make that catch. The third one was bad.
  11. If you were looking to like him, there were a lot of plays to love about him. And a bunch of poor ones. His line and receivers were awful though.
  12. Allen is 17, right? If you add 1 + 7 you get 8. And if you divide that by 5 you get 1.6. Add those two numbers and it's 7! Then we only need ten more to get to 17! Isn't that amazing?!
  13. True. But AJ is a good guy, a good leader, will work his ass off, will do well in the film room, and make good decisions and throws against air and the defense running half speed. McD will love all of that.
  14. Who thinks the Bills brass wants to give Nathan Peterman any meaningful snaps in any of the four preseason games to see what he can do at this point instead of Josh Allen? Raise your hands! Now we know who all the idiots are.
  15. I would imagine they would love, hope, expect, plan for, and be shocked if he didnt. The only wrench in it is that AJ is the kind of QB who can shine in practice.
  16. They didn't keep Webb as the third QB as you well know. Yes, he could play it in a pinch but if he didn't play ST so well he wouldn't have been on the team let alone active on gameday.
  17. Actually, you're wrong. Rosen would know, as I do, and you should, that the Wonderlic is not a good measure of intelligence. And if you live in Orange County you would also know you are surrounded by 90% USC fans who of course hate him.
  18. Kevin Cole, who is one of these PFF type data analysts, talking about it's too early to give grades or badmouth draft picks before seeing these guys play, tweeted, "If you're at the blackjack table and someone hits on 16 with a 6 showing you don't say, "let's wait to see how the hand plays out before saying it was a bad decision" Ha.
  19. You're right that there are lots of places with great burgers. And that a good deal of stuff is driven by social media these days. But In-n-Out is a total exception. They don't do a lot of major advertising. It was just as crowded before social media even existed. You must admit that the lines outside of In-n-outs are nothing like you have ever seen, and it's every one of them. There is one right by my place and it is busy every day from the time it opens until it closes, 7 days a week. At lunch they need two different people walking up to cars waiting in line and taking their orders. I have never seen that anywhere.
  20. Blasphemer!! In-n-out is awesome, and most people seem to think so considering I have never seen any restaurant of any kind in any place where there is a line at all times, and the drive thru often has 20-40 cars in line. All day.
  21. They are both truly awesome. One is the sister of Rick Neuheisel and was part of my pack of friends when I lived in Phoenix, and the other married a buddy of mine from Newport Beach. Don't feel the same about what? Name one time that he was "selfish" in a game or that affected the team. He was the complete opposite. Abused his body for the team.
