  1. I don’t like this idea at this time. I have it on good authority that there is zero chance he comes back to play for Bills. We hold his rights. He made his mistakes. We shouldn’t reward him. If anything tell him if he wants to unretire negotiate with another team and then we trade him to them, even if it’s a 7th rounder.
  2. He could be funny sometimes during the broadcast but he just wasn’t that good of a color man. Not with the Sabres anyway.
  3. That's an old joke but a great one. I first heard it about thirty years ago, at a concert in Tempe by a band called Too Free Stooges, fronted by the great Dick Rude, who opened the show with that joke and a couple other good ones.
  4. Colt McCoy is short and has a rag arm. The double whammy. Granted, his arm isn't Kellen Moore weak but it's close. Probably the Nathan Peterman level, which equates to not nearly good enough. Why anyone with a paying job in the NFL thinks Colt McCoy can ever succeed is beyond me.
  5. As stated earlier, the fact that Foster chose Buffalo knowing Daboll was running the show is one thing, and the fact that Daboll talked Foster up enough to McD and Beane so that they signed him ahead of other teams is another equally significant thing. The fact they both happened simultaneously is reason to believe this guy has a lot of untapped talent. There is also a very believable reason that he didn't put up good numbers.
  6. AJ is a bridge quarterback. Unfortunately, it's one of those bridges made out of rope, for one person, and everyone who crosses one thinks they are going to die on.
  7. He's talking about getting Bills and Sabres news for your $2.99. It's sportsnewsworthy, and directly applicable to the conversation.
  8. Fred was also equally pissed if not more so over the Bills front office before Whaley was ever in charge, so there is that.
  9. Why? He was making a specific point, and a decent one. That the papers he was saying he was willing to pay for do not provide news on Buffalo, which we could be in danger of losing.
  10. If it were about Josh Rosen they would report he is uncoachable.
  11. Yup. Although some people just won't listen... https://www.yahoo.com/news/golfers-playing-next-volcano-spewing-203945519.html
  12. Came off without a hitch. That was really great. Fitzy is an awesome guy.
  13. Perhaps because out of the other 100+ plays in the game exactly zero of them can definitively be said of: "If he would have made the play, we would have won." None of them. Zero. Nada. Zilch. But if he would have made the kick, we would have won. Fact.
  14. Yup. And even if you don't subscribe to that sound reasoning, whatever happened to good ol' "know thine enemy?!"
  15. I would have been yelling at Colt McCoy, too, he has no business being on an NFL field. And besides, anyone named Colt McCoy should not be a whiny baby about being yelled at. When coaches used to tell him they needed a timeout he used to mope and go sit in the corner for ten minutes.
  16. It seems so simple and obvious. Well put. One of the most important thing one can do to understand the world better, or anything better, is to read people who don't agree with you, or present the other side to your belief or argument.
  17. Not my goal at all. You are exactly right when you say you are paying for everyone, that was my goal, to point that out to you. And if Jerry and Sully are 1% of the content that means you pay for the 99% as well as the 1%, but those two are still 1%.
  18. Does anyone here not read the Wall Street Journal, NYT, Washington Post, National Review, ESPN, or any website just because they don't like two of the numerous columnists and writers? I'm sure there are examples but it seems like a great number of you single out two guys who write 1% of the content each month and get 1% of the pay as a reason to not subscribe.
  19. So don't pay for Sullivan and Bucky. Pay for the few dozen other writers there, the cost of one crappy beer per month. Do it for your health!
  20. All offenses have 50+ short pass plays, 50+ medium pass plays and 50+ deep pass plays written into them. It's just a matter of which pass plays they concentrate on and practice a lot and tweak to work toward players strengths. In that respect plan = build. There was also a statement by Beane that during the draft he had difficulty telling Daboll why they were taking all these defensive players in 2-3-4-5 when he wanted offensive guys obviously. So Daboll is not picking players. In fact, the ONLY player we know Daboll did have influence on was big deep threat speedster Robert Foster.
  21. Peterman is like Springsteen. Sounds Jew right off the bat but in seconds you find out it’s !@#$ing Dutch.
  22. I think it’s a fair question and interesting topic for discussion. Several of us have questioned the same concept in a different manner, wondering whether it’s possible a team of all Eagle Scouts can win it all, or whether McDermott and Beane are passing over star players who have had some questionable pasts.
