  1. I don't want to put words in his mouth but "He stunk. He stinks. He will stank in the near, middle and extended future."
  2. That's only because it keeps stretching.
  3. Wait a minute. Are they really saying there is no criminal liability by the SF 49ers for putting the ball in Reggie Bush's hands in 2015? That was more of a blatant crime than the surface surrounding the field.
  4. Or the Ravens? They like what he has been doing at quarterback so far a lot. He's playing other positions because he is so good they don't want him on the bench.
  5. That's somewhat of the same reason or mindset of the McDermott/Peterman bromance. McD absolutely loves Peterman but a huge chunk of it if not the majority of it is what kind of guy and teammate that Nate is. Same with Tyrod. He plays Nate with the ones more because it is a message to the team that anyone who does all the right things has a chance to start than because he has the talent to start. He's still going to be cut on the eve of the season barring injury and then put on the PS.
  6. Every team has 500 plays in their playbook (even if it's 100 basic plays). The quarterback has to learn how to call them all and where everyone lines up and what they do on them all in a generic sense. The idea that it is taking time out of his ability to learn the playbook/offense because of the 10-20 gadget plays they may put him in IMO doesn't lessen his ability to learn the offense at all. It's the same thing as 10-20 other plays.
  7. Schefter has an article out today with the headline The Ravens are in awe of Lamar Jackson. EDIT: That was his tweet with link to same writer of the ESPN article discussed above.
  8. There were ten reasons why it was a completely horrible decision before the game started. I don’t think anyone here questions McD’s ability to make good decisions on and coach defense. He has yet to show he can do it on offense and he is ultimately responsible for the offense. He cannot make gross errors of judgment like that or he/we will not succeed.
  9. Yeah I like him for the most part and also think he will be a good coach. My problem is really seeing that this could possibly be a good idea in a playoff race versus letting his OC talk him into something that drastic.
  10. We have talked about this at length before but that is not a good sign for McD. Hopefully he learned from his gross misjudgment like he asks and requires of his players.
  11. Thanks for the laugh. Kirby's clipped toenails know more football than a lot of Bills fans.
  12. No. Having a jailbreak rush on him a substantial if not majority number of pass plays because of inferior guys in front of him is good preparation or better preparation than having an easy clean pocket would have been.
  13. And benched him at halftime and then immediately did something hardly any HC makes, admitting he made a huge unforced error of a mistake that hurt the team in playoff contention.
  14. The NFL doesn't allow the compensation that would come back in an offer from other teams in exchange for Peterman.
  15. He played his entire college and high school career without an O-Line there for him. Probably more prepared for that than either AJ or Nate despite the fact they have played in the NFL.
  16. Seven billion people on earth and 90% of aliens interviewed, except you and a couple others here.
  17. The Blizzard game was played at one thousandth speed. There is zero anyone can take away from that game from any player as far as speed of the game goes. It wasnt only two games. It was his college career and last year's preseason, too. He was not good against the rush in preseason last year at all. He didn't display sufficient arm strength in preseason last year at all.
  18. The problem is Nate Peterman is a second rate Trent Edwards, who was third rate. The bigger problem is that even OCs and HCs can get enamored with players like Trent and Nate because they can excel in practice and preseason when players are going at half to three quarters speed. So they make good decisions with the ball and make good crisp accurate short passes. But they cannot do that in the regular season with any consistency because they don't have the arm or the ability to handle a pass rush when it is at full speed. We saw that with two head coaches in Edwards career and the. We saw it with one head coach last year. Hopefully McD won't fall for that again.
  19. Yep. I actually think it's going to be a good amount of both. I'm really liking what Josh is doing so far. Love the guy already (nothing to do with how he will play in a regular season game). I know this stuff happens all the time in practice, but it was great to hear him say right after the first OTA in his career that immediately after practice, in which he threw an INT to a pass tipped by Micah Hyde, he went right up to Micah and asked what he saw. Hyde said he saw his eyes and Josh took note. Simple stuff and explanation but great that Josh just did that immediately day one mistake one, and saying that playing against Hyde and Poyer in practice is different than against other guys. Again, simple if not obvious. But he was saying that the guys on the twos and threes and in college were just as fast but not making the breaks on the ball or the instincts that the starters do. I'm really happy with Allen so far even though he wasn't my first couple choices, like a lot of us. While you posted that I was typing the exact same thing.
  20. Agreed. Although there is an enormous different between winning the job by default because the other guys stink and winning it because you played great. I personally want him to start immediately and think he will, but the plurality of my thinking is because our offense will get killed without his big arm/threat. And that's more about the other guys losing the job than Josh winning it.
  21. I like the way McD and Daboll are bringing him along. I thought right after the draft that he would likely start on opening day, I think he should start on opening day. Of course they may have him sit a few games but this is the correct trajectory as of right now.
  22. Being reported that less than ten members of the Eagles were planning on going, by Mike Garafalo, who was going with the team and was told by the team that number.
  23. The idea of canceling the visit probably made all the sense in the world to Trump: None of the black people are coming so let's screw over all the white people instead.
