  1. Just use this thread to state what you think or hope will happen, on offense, defense, special teams, coaching, specific players, etc. Please don't turn this into a QB thread. *I think Star will be one of the keys to the season. If he is good he will have a dramatic affect on the defense, and especially in the pass game. I think Jerry Hughes returns to double digit sacks simply because QBs cannot step up into a massive pocket like they did last year. Hughes was good last year, opposing QBs too easily avoided being sacked by him by stepping up. *I think Ray Ray and maybe Marcus Murphy can and will play a key role in Daboll's offense, along with Croom or Thomas. Ray Ray, when healthy, will play a gadget role, and several times a game may get jet sweeps, WR screens, RPOs, plays lined up as RB where he goes in motion, etc. Early on, if Ray Ray is still slowed by injury, Murphy may play that role. *I fear that there will be games our secondary, the strength of our team, will let us down. I love all three good players in Hyde, Porter and Tre, but they were so vary good last year I worry that we all expect them to be great every game and chances are they won't be, plus teams will know a lot more about them this year. I worry about Davis and Gaines, although I like what I see from Taron. *Depending on how well Murphy actually performs in real games, I see Shady not having great stats because he won't get the carries. I think Ivory gets a few touches per game and Murphy, too, keeping Shady fresh. We need him of course, but that three headed monster of different styles may be needed to keep defenses off balance due to our crappy blocking. *I think Daboll is going to try to replicate part of the Patriots old two-TE offense, using Clay in the Gronk role and Croom in the Hernandez role. Of course, neither of our guys equate to their guys, but Clay gets open and Croom has size and speed and skills in the Hernandez role. I think we see a lot of formations early trying to do that. The results I have no idea. *Trent Murphy, if healthy, a big if, will be quite good. *Tremaine Edmunds will be a huge polarizing figure because he will not be so great early on and fans will wrongly fixate on certain replays where he takes himself clearly out of the play and beat it to death. *Similarly, Zay Zay will be consistently erratic and drive the fan base and this board insane, playing way better than he did last year but still a lot of bonehead plays or drops or not knowing where he is on the field. Add your own to the ongoing thread.
  2. Oh I know but I didn’t think there were really any issues with him at all this week. I know there were very minor issues like two weeks ago. And then he turned ten years old?
  3. I'm probably the biggest Peterman detractor here and I say about 0.1%
  4. That's true. But if you have Peterman's arm you cannot be Kirk Cousins. And if you have Kirk Cousins' arm you can. So it's not a good comparison imo because Peterman can not be Cousins.
  5. Cousins would be the perfect comparison if Peterman has Cousins’ arm. It’s not really close. Cousins doesn’t have a strong one at all but he easily throws a good out and easily throws down the field. Other than that they are quite similar.
  6. Cool. Obviously I hope Herm does well. They have some good players. Harry the WR is a first round pick. Should be a great pro. They havent been good in forever.
  7. I am unfortunately. Great game Saturday. Not too happy with Edwards hire but he definitely had them ready to play. I think it’s one of those total hit or total failure things. I lived there 11 years. Are you? I think that is smart for some players. But it will make agents all trying to get bigger deals.
  8. Food for thought.
  9. He did it during preseason and looked good. But Jones was there for first kick in game three. And Ray Ray returned KO and P, and Kerley started the preseason as the PR. So they have guys that have done it this year if they need the spot. I want Murphy activated. But there is usually a surprise or two. Also depends on matchups and game plans.
  10. Likely. Cook may be lousy, but he's a jerk.
  11. Right. But he will be 27 a month into this season. I really like him though. And if he didn't get the wear and tear on him because he hasn't really played, no reason to think he can't play til 30.
  12. Good question. They will likely sit one WR (Foster), one TE, a LB, a CB, Kyle if he is not playing, and McDermott. That’s 6. Ray Ray makes 7 although he may play. If he is ok then maybe Murph is out. I would not dress Taiwan and keep Murph but McD loves Taiwan.
  13. Did Nathan Peterman ever even make “The World’s Greatest Jewish Sports Heroes” pamphlet?
  14. Three different ASU transfers from the last two years started games for other division one schools on Saturday including White. And the guy that beat them all out, Manny Wilkins, played great. Nate or Tyree Jackson?
  15. One quarter of the NFL has signed Fitz to a contract and started him in games. It’s unarguable he can play quarterback in the NFL.
  16. But weren’t you the one who told me the Giants signed Webb earlier today when I asked?
  17. Thanks. And the Jets were the ones that paid him his full salary to be on PS?
  18. Ducasse can’t play either guard really but he plays both sides. So if Miller goes down they can put in Teller where he is comfortable and Ducasse can roll over. Or they can put in Bodine and play Groy at G. All of those options are horrific.
  19. Please please say that’s not true. Lie if you have to.
