  1. He threw a perfect and not easy TD pass that was flat dropped. He completed a 3rd and 18 from his own end zone that was a great play. He completed a beautiful throw for a first down over the middle that was called back. He gunned a beautiful crossing pattern about 15 yards that was dropped. He ran well. He missed a couple throws and maybe two times he got sacked when he shouldn’t have.
  2. To me it was glaringly obvious. Most times with players at other positions you have to take mostly educated guesses. Or they will have to show an enormous improvement in one area or another. But it’s at least possible. To me Peterman was just physically unable to play the position AND had at least a few other major issues.
  3. The Rams have a savant for a coach. The Bills have a guy with Peterman fetish.
  4. That was my point. That would have been true if he did it at halftime. But the game was basically over when he put Josh in. This came across as the outcome isn't in doubt, let's get the rook some reps more than we talked it over at half and we're benching Nate like we did last year.
  5. That is my feeling too. But there have been a lot of good coaches and GMs who made glaringly bad choices on QBs.
  6. There is no doubt that at halftime he was considering it. He had to be. If he wasn't we are in trouble. He then made the decision to start Nate in the third. That wasn't a crazy decision. I personally wouldn't have but I could understand why he made that choice. If he benched Nate then it would be really hard to go back and start him. If he waited until the game was out of hand, which he did, he could then go either way.
  7. Unfortunately, I genuinely believe that right now McDermott doesn't know himself who he is going to choose, which is frightening.
  8. I don't know about you guys, but I hated having players better than the ones we have now.
  9. And how exactly do you build support for NP? I think the whole team mostly gave up early in the second quarter.
  10. There were a few series when the Bills were on D where I saw Nate on the sidelines talking with Billy Buffalo. Not sure how much that may have helped.
  11. I know what you meant but he's already had two disasters. This week would be the third time. I think McD would like to start Nate one more time but he may lose his team. That may be the reason he goes with the only logical choice, which is Allen.
  12. The Chargers would never for a second believe it and be completely taken by shock and awe?
  13. It's incredible to me that ESPN was so successful so long trying to do that. As soon as Chris Berman, Dan Patrick, Keith Olberman (before he turned into an !@#$), etc. exploded on the scene they were fresh and funny and reported sports a new way and it was extremely entertaining for a few years. Everyone they hired since then tries to be funny and sucks balls at it. It's been tired for 20 years. But only the last few have they really been hit hard and that has been due to a lot of variables.
  14. Reinhart is really good. That's not true. He should have said "Since the introduction of the forward pass." That sounds like something you get from a defunct porn name generator. Any of the top 25 QBs in the league could have done what Goff did last year.
  15. It is outdated but they have been doing it for 30 years.
  16. Chan did it with Trentative. It should happen imo. I just doubt McD pulls the trigger or Beane would force McD's hand.
  17. I voted that Josh should start but won't. I don't see any reason whatsoever that McD should start NP, but then again I didn't think there was any good reason McD would start him against the Chargers or the Ravens.
  18. When you get it turn it inside out and look at the back of the tag. It will say "01 of 01"
  19. That is one of the five reasons why it was stupid to start Nate.
  20. Hughes, as usual, had a pretty good and underappreciated day. He missed a sack he should have had. He forced Flacco out a few times. He got decent pressure. He ran down guys on the other side of the field because he hustles more than any player on the team game in game out.
  21. The reason they didn't resign him was you couldn't count on him staying healthy. The rest of the league thought the same thing and no one gave him a decent offer. The Browns finally signed him to a 1 year $4m deal, peanuts for a good player like that. And he immediately got injured. Was inactive today because of injury. Who knows if Davis will be healthy and or good. Philip Gaines was never really good and it showed today. Decent depth but not a starter. They tried with Davis. I'm unsure whether the teams' claims of him still being less than 100% was the reason he didn't play well in camp and was inactive today. Seemed a little fishy but may be true.
  22. Kinda hard to say he gets the most out of his players when about 43 of 46 had a bad game today.
  23. Both of these guys will get at least three years.
  24. In the Charger game last year... "Peterman's actual stat line in the game? 6 of 14 for 66 yards, zero touchdowns, five picks, and a 17.9 passer rating. So, his actual passer rating was 23.2 points lower than the one calculated above, which is kinda incredible."
