We’re gonna be crappy winners. Can’t wait.

The best part for me was almost every player took out their phones and recorded the fans screaming as they walked by because of how great that was. A lot of those players had never seen a crowd of Bills fans together like that. Very cool moment.

Bc no one cares about cash payouts except the accounts. Cap hits are the only things that matter.
To who? The player? No. The owner? No. The agent? No. When you, me, or any fan talks about contracts it’s either how much they make this year cash or guaranteed money.
Fact: Mahomes pocketed more money than Josh.

I actually like that we've put so much on tape this year. Good luck to DCs trying to game plan around our offense inside the 10. Cross your fingers and hope a penalty takes away our inevitable touchdown because there's no way you can prepare for everything we have.
I agree in general for sure. And he’s been not only designing, practicing and calling them at the right time, but setting them up in earlier games and series.
That is a unique once a year play though. A touchdown play.

Josh has a higher cap hit this season. This is a fact. This fact does not mean that Josh has a bigger contract, or that Josh won't have a smaller cap hit next season.
A guaranteed contract over the next ten years does not preclude that Josh has a higher cap hit than Mahomes does THIS SEASON.
You’re saying Josh cost less because Mahomes had a $5m cap hit. But they paid him $15m this year, way more than Josh, so how does Josh cost less? It’s a stupid argument.

So even though you just looked it up at sportrac.com, sportrac.com is wrong?
Look at it. You don’t see “signing bonus” at “10m?”
And why would you argue Josh is paid less when Mahomes is GUARANTEED 140 million dollars.
it’s a typical FireChans argument.

If he can hit the deep ball like he did today then yes he is immediately the best QB in the NFL. Mahomes has been a substantially better deep passer so far. If Allen finally got that lightbulb to turn on the rest of the NFL is in trouble.
I don’t think there is any question Mahomes is a better deep passer than Josh right now.
That said, deep passes that are caught are way more than people think about the receiver than the QBs. A lot of times, maybe most, are as much the WR tracking the ball, increasing or decreasing their speed, adjusting to the placement and trajectory and then catching it in stride. Some guys are great at that others aren’t. Tyreek Hill is great at that.
Just now, FireChans said:Tell Sportrac. They have his 2020 cap hit at $5M.
I just looked it up.

They've already won a Super Bowl. More is just gravy.
He's still playing under his rookie deal.
No he got a 10m signing bonus and 140m guaranteed.

On pure numbers Mahomes and Rodgers are better but Rodgers is more based on consistency. I think Josh has that something special that puts him right with them in his ability to inspire teammates. I look forward to this years playoffs in a way I have not in long time.
Josh’s numbers equal Mahomes this year counting everything.

That’s kind of ridiculous considering the contract Mahomes signed already.

He's top 4 no doubt. But Rodgers is insane right now. Mahomes at 1/2. Wilson maybe behind JA now.
Rodgers is so ridiculously good now. He hadn’t even played at this point in Josh’s career.

That TD run that didn't count with on the reverse handoff was amazing had it counted it would be all over media...btw tick tack holding call on that play
I was almost pissed they ran that play against the Broncos in this game. They should have saved it for the playoffs

If I'm starting a team tomorrow and have a choice of any current QB in the NFL I pick Josh and I don't look back.
It’s either Mahomes or Josh. Right now I imagine most GMs would choose Mahomes over Allen because he’s done it before and Josh hasn’t. But again, if Josh was on the Chiefs and Mahomes on the Bills I think the league considers Allen the star.

Put it this way. Put Josh on the Chiefs with Kelce and Tyreek and Watkins and the running game and he puts up the numbers and wins that Mahomes does.

When the Bills get near the top, we go over it.
Please read, share, comment, argue, etc. Here is an excerpt...
"The top teams in the NFL often need their three subteams, the Defense, the Offense and the Special Teams, to complement each other. For the Bills, their “DOST” are all playing well at the same time. The three coordinators, including unheralded ST topper, Heath Farwell, and HC McD are all on the same page. Killer penalty flags and yards have been reduced lately. McD no longer makes anti-analytic decisions on timeouts and game management.
Of course, everything starts at the top, which in the NFL is the QB position.
Josh Allen is just a blast to watch. His pure joy on the field is the same as ours in our homes.
Allen is ridiculous. While this is not entirely true, if you were going to Build-a-Quarterback from scratch in a lab, you would want Allen's size, Allen's arm, Allen's Wonderlic and smarts, Allen's athleticism, toughness, escapability, desire, guts, coachability, leadership, fourth-quarter ice in his veins, film study habits, running ability, personality, work ethic, humility, and just being a good dude to office workers, waitresses and anyone less fortunate.
Again, it is a slight exaggeration …
You might want Lamar Jackson's running ability.
The Bills' run game made a cameo appearance. Zack Moss made it out of Gitmo to return to the lineup and gain some tough yards, especially in the last seven minutes. Stefon Diggs could not be covered or stopped, was getting open by two yards on four-yard patterns, and is about to rewrite most of the Bills receiving record book. The Bills are the only team with 20 or more first downs in every game...
From top to bottom, the Bills have their most solid roster in 30 years. And in the most tragic, humbling, and frustrating of years, 2020, they are bringing the city and its fandom the most satisfying and pleasurable of seasons in a lot of our lifetimes.
They say it’s lonely at the top.
Nah.
Can’t wait to be there and go over it."

He had one drop that hit him right in the hands in the first half on 3rd down that would’ve been a first down.... but yes I’d rest Brown until the week 17 if he is fully healthy and give him a few snaps.
I also thought that incredible back foot bomb by Josh down the sidelines that Davis caught with one foot OB was the equivalent of a drop. It was not that difficult a play, he just didn’t know where he was.

Names like Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski were HUGE just 2-3 years ago. But much has changed, and both of those guys are totally washed up.
It's not just Tom Brady's inability to push the ball downfield with consistency. Gronk looks like an old man. Brown has made zero impact since joining the Bucs.
In my opinion:
Stephon Diggs > Mike Evans as the #1 receiver
Cole Beasley > Chris Godwin as the slot receiver
John Brown > 2020 Antonio Brown as the #2 outside receiver
Gabe Davis > Anyone else on their roster as a #4
That's without even getting into Andre Roberts (possibly the league's best returner) or Isaiah McKenzie (who is a fantastic gadget player).
The Bills have the best, deepest and most versatile WR group in the NFL.
I've seen most of every Bucs game and Gronk is not in any way washed up. He gets open all the time and makes tremendous plays and catches routinely.

Again I'd dress him and only play him if absolutely needed. They need to sew-up the division this Saturday. Then they can rest him more, ideally until the playoffs.
Yep. Put him on a pitch count like they have eased Milano back in. And have him run certain kinds of routes like go patterns to stretch the defense and ease him back in and create openings for other receivers, and not hard digs that could aggravate the ankles more. Just the threat of Brown helps the offense.

I thought the ankle injury was different from his previous one.I recall seeing the play in real time and thinking, well we just lost Brown for the season (actually very surprised he's able to come back based on what it looked like). I guess what I'm saying is that bringing him back "early" last time was irrelevant to his current injury and should be viewed as a stand alone injury, not a re-injury which implies "injury prone" or at least more susceptible to injury.
I think it's better to have him playing vs. not because there is more to getting 100% game-day ready than just not being injured. It's getting his timing with Josh back in sync, getting game-day endurance (can't get that in practice/drills/workouts) getting back into the game-day prep cycle, and a bunch of other aspects to playing professional football that don't just jump off the page.
I guess we tend to call it "knocking the rust off". IMO we want Brown warmed up, loose and firing on all cylinders before we finish up the Reg season and jump into the playoffs.
I think he has had three separate injuries although I am not positive. He had a quad or calf, and a knee injury earlier in the year, and this last one was a high ankle sprain. But this one is definitely different from the earlier one(s).
