Reason for some optimism. Receivers open.

Peterman was always a presnap and one read guy. Why people gave him so much credit for stuff he rarely if ever did is ridiculous. -

You don’t play a player who cannot compete in this league. Your veteran players and team will mutiny. I wouldn’t doubt if that is what forced McD’s hand. -

I know. And several veteran posters here, myself included, before the game gave several clear reasons why that was dumb, and all of them came true. -
Zay Jones has to tell KB where to line up?

Yep. If you don't count the worst player. -

Seems to happen several times a game on most teams that one guy doesn't know where to line up. It's usually the QB who tells him but not uncommon in the least for one WR to motion to another where to be. -

That would have been much sooner than later had he made that same decision again. -

It's an inexcusable and crappy attitude but maybe he thought that this offense can't move with Nate in and his effort and demeanor showed it. On the Allen pass he tried 100% and ran full speed he just dropped it. No excuse but still... -
In the 6-15 stat line one of those incompletions was a play that 98-100 NFL quarterbacks get sacked on. It was absolutely outrageous that he escaped the sack and threw the ball away for an Incompletion. I meant in your response to my point. You said the Bills should have him hand off in that situation so he's doesn't get killed. I said they didn't hand off, they had him throw and he made a fantastic play for the first down.

Another thing about starting Allen with our line being so crappy and him being a rookie and therefore prone to rookie mistakes that left him prone on the field is the third and 18 play. If Nate gets sacked on first or second the series is practically over right then. On the 3rd and 18 play, Josh escaped the rush and threw a 20+ yard completion for the first down with ease. If he gets sacked seven times he's still going to have chances.

I don't think he is saying in retrospect it was the right move. I think he was saying at the time I thoroughly believed that Nate was the right choice and I am not going to start second guessing my heartfelt decisions as they happen. He was obviously saying that it was a bad choice by the some are right some are wrong statement. The real scary thought is that he honestly believed that starting Nate was the right decision at the time. We may be screwed. -

I got the impression that McD really just wanted to make the decision himself and that someone or something else somewhat forced him into making that decision and he didn't like it. But I also imagine it was the team, the players, more than Terry and Kim. I doubt they would do this so early in McD's tenure. -
It was mostly Savaged. And in some ways it could be considered worse. Surely they spoke about it. Decided to give Nate another chance. And then decided to Savage him.

He didn’t move the team as well last preseason. But he showed pretty much the same skills. People here THOUGHT he was really accurate when he wasn’t. They fell in love with the anti-Tyrod though. Quick decisions. Getting ball out. And it was stupid. He still missed passes over the middle. Didn’t show arm strength. Didn’t really handle rush well. Didn’t go downfield. Then did same same thing this year except was more accurate in the short game.
