I like them and still do, for now. But there is no evidence that they are smart about offense. They got rid of Sammy, Woods, Goodwin, and now Kerley. They acquired Matthews, KB, Coleman, Zay, Foster and McCloud. The hired and fired Dennison. They hired and kept Castillo, which is worse. They drafted Dawkins but got rid of Glenn. They signed and kept DuCasse. They replaced Wood and Richie (granted, losing them was not their fault but the replacements are) with Bodine and Newhouse, who no one thought were good. They signed and then got rid of AJ. They signed and played Tolbert for an entire season they have now fixed with Ivory and Murphy. They drafted and they started Peterman twice, two of the very worst starts in all of NFL history. They did draft Josh, who wasnt my first choice even with QBs still available but I very much like him now and if he is a hit, then they will get a lot of respect back. But what is it you think they have done with the offense that gives you so much hope?

Foster maybe. Not Ray Ray. He is more of a shifty, quicker than he is fast guy, that will play the slot and line up in the backfield, and you just want to get the ball in his hands because one cut and he could break one. Not really known as a speed or deep threat guy. I like Ray Ray though. Kerley may also be back in a week or two if no one claims him. Are the Patriots now signing black former Bills receivers now, too, or was Coleman a one off?

The total rebuild makes zero sense if we are the fifth oldest team in the league. We likely aren't any more after cutting Kerley and Adolphus this week but still. Methinks that getting rid of a bunch of players last year and still making the playoffs gave a false sense of security to McBeane this year, because they git rid of a bunch more and their replacements are not getting the job done. I think the defense will rebound this week, and that Star and Murphy may still prove to be solid players this year. Key word: May. But their offense is a disaster. Hopefully Josh can bail them out. If he can, we have a stud. It doesn't seem likely.

I thought Bob and Doug MacKenzie were dead.

I would argue Steve Young could do everything Montana could do plus run and scramble and throw on the run better.

Does GM make the Canadite? I thought that was Ford. Either way, I'd say it was the Canadite 250.

Had he been left out of the competition would have been criminally negligent. I had been harping on here before the debacle last week that he actually won the QB competition because he was the only one out of three that showed he could throw short, medium, and long, left, right and center, run from trouble, escape jailbreaks (half the time) and make defenses back off the LOS so there would be room to run for Shady and others. None of the other two did half of that.

Just what we need around here, more bitter, old, over-opinionated white guys!! Welcome back, gents. The CBA does mess with a lot of practice, I agree. Although the blame falls on McBeane. They were dealt a bad hand with the Wood and Richie issues, but they also signed guys virtually everyone said were lousy from the start, hired Castillo who is just terrible, made a huge error in Dennison they are still paying for, traded away Glenn, insist on DuCasse, and didn't spend the money or assets necessary to put together a line that wasn't much good last year. That's some serious messin' up.

That is not true at all, at least under my definition of unable to compete. Every other starting QB in the league and 75% of the backups can compete. They have the ability to POSSIBLY succeed. Nate cannot. Guys like Matt Barkley and Kellen Moore cannot because of their arms. AJ McCarron surely can and he has done it. Not that he is good, mind you. But he can make all the throws, he doesnt always panic. He can beat you deep. Teams cannot always crowd the line against him.

Not getting any first downs in the first half gives the Ravens at least two extra series they wouldn't normally get. They definitely would not have had time for the two-minute drive that ended in the touchdown. The field position makes it way easier to use the whole playbook. I'm not making too many excuses for a horrid defensive display but they abhorrent offense is partially responsible for the points, first downs, TOP, etc. -
As McCoy goes, so go the Bills

Oh, terrific, now 53 guys and 10 on the PS have crazy ass golddigger girlfriends. -
The fiasco is believing that Nate Peterman can play in this league. Because of this fiasco, we had a national embarrassment, players questioning their coach, and no backup quarterback when our starter may get abused. I don't think you are considering what effect this has in the locker room and on the team. It was a disaster and it remains a disaster if NP is asked or forced to play again.

Reason for some optimism. Receivers open.

Yup. So he can panic quicker than almost anyone. -
Plus he can coach!
