  1. Short throws are not always simple throws. Sometimes they are harder. If that throw does not hit Shady right on the run and right on the money he cannot make two guys miss and get the critical first down.
  2. Jim Kelly constantly lauded AVP with helping him when he was Kelly's backup.
  3. The object of the game is to win. It's bad enough to criticize good teams that win. Are you really criticizing an undefeated team because they are not beating teams by more?
  4. They are 4-0. Down by one point because of a missed PAT right now.
  5. I couldn't believe that the Rams hired McVay last year and thought it was ridiculous. Then I watched them play. He's one of the best HC in the league. He's a fricking savant on offense, and smart enough to hire Wade and then get out of the way. I would love that kind of coach.
  6. In theory. There are endless examples of HC in the NFL with experience on one side of the ball that have little clue on the other side of the ball. Rex Ryan was a good example. Ever heard of him?
  7. Yeah, first downs in two minute drives when down by a point on 3rd down suck. Who needs 'em?
  8. I agree with that. But if you asked Arians about rookie QBs and told him that this rookie in his hypothetical would have our WR, he would not say this is the way to "play" him and get that experience. I would bet anything on it.
  9. Twice, for first downs. It was a little play but if he doesn't hit Shady right on the money on 3rd and 3 he has no chance to get the essential first down.
  10. Cool. He hustles more than anyone on the team, including Kyle Williams. And always has since he's been here.
  11. That is just untrue. I know you are somewhat exaggerating, but I think the most he ever had in a season was four, and it may have been three. Hughes has been our best defensive player in the last five years, counting Kyle, and everyone else.
  12. What makes you think that McDermott knows a lot about offense? Last year's offense? His personnel decisions? Nathan Peterman? Rick Dennison? Luis Castillo? I'm very serious.
  13. Well, no. He didn't play well. But he didntdo what you just said. Besides, I wasn't talking about his game, I was talking about your post, which made no sense.
  14. He's also just assuming that an NFL team is going to have at least an average NFL WR corps, which we don't.
  15. Derek Carr looks a lot more like David Carr than he does Derek Carr.
  16. So you are criticizing him for doing nothing ('hot garbage") when they are asking him to do nothing?
  17. Exactly, which is why it's unfathomable that McD and Beane are not surrounding him with any help. It's crazy.
  18. I used to fricken hate the "in the grasp" rule. But if they are going to call so many roughing the passers they need to start to call that again so players like Hughes arent scared of finishing plays. It weakens the game.
  19. But he hasn't coached QB's in the NFL. He was a QB coach 30 years ago at Southwestern Louisiana and Middle Tennessee State! That's it. That is the guy you trust to help develop Josh Allen in 2018? It's criminal.
  20. He was a WR coach for the Chiefs and a few other teams. He's not really a QB coach and has no real history of it. He's been a WR coach for 12 years in the NFL but never a QB coach in the NFL. So no.
  21. I don't know why people just don't listen to other people. All McD said was that it wasn't final, which until it's signed, it isn't. He didn't deny it in any way.
  22. We played at home, we started out running pretty well though, and our defense played lights out plus got a few turnovers. It's 3x easier to commit to the run when any of those four things happen.
  23. I don't like to brag, but I actually called you calling it, but I knew you weren't going to tell anyone so I didn't either.
