  1. Who is Derek Anderson's agent?
  2. Yep. Star has been doing exactly what he was signed to do. Helping Hughes and Murphy and the rest of the DEs, too. He's just what we needed. We paid a pretty penny but there just aren't a lot of dudes who can do what he does. I liked the signing when it happened and like it now.
  3. I still say the experience is worth it. I see very, very few catastrophic injuries and most of them are on fluke plays and not just from beatings. Not to mention he is huge and country strong. Yes, this could be one of those fluky injuries right now but I bet it's not. The offense is terrible and he is learning far less than he could be learning because of it, I totally agree with that. But he is still learning to read defenses pre and post snap, seeing disguises, sensing the rush, seeing blitzes coming from all sides, learning how to keep ALL of the 25 things an NFL QB has to think about simultaneously in the heat of battle with a ticking clock, seeing just how fast these DL and LBs and DBs are so he knows how tight the windows are to throw in, being in two and four minute offenses in real time, seeing all of the defensive schemes played from a true POV and not a sideline or video POV, etc. I could go on. I think it's worth it. It's criminal that they are putting him through it with this supporting cast but it's still worth it. But welcome back my friend, to the show that never ends, Simon.
  4. Couldn't the Bills veteran leadership council just text McDermott if he is considering starting Nate and just say "Your an idiot?"
  5. Considering the coaching he has got and the receivers to work with and the line and the run game, I'd say he is ahead of them,. considering he is so close behind now.
  6. That wouldn't help. He tried that this off season.
  7. That was a four yard out.
  8. What Nathan Peterman needs most is Steve Austin Surgery.
  9. He shouldn't have kept Peterman on the team last year. He shouldn't have started him against the Chargers. He shouldn't have kept him on the team after the Chargers. He shouldn't have kept him on the team before this season. He shouldn't have started him against the Ravens. He should have brought in a vet after the Chargers and after the Ravens. He shouldn't have kept him after the Ravens. None of those are hindsight either. I and others here said them before they happened. He shouldn't have put himself in the position of having to play him. It was gross negligence.
  10. You cannot play QB in the NFL with any sustained success with a rag arm. You cannot do it. He has shown it over (Chargers) and over (Jaguars) and over (Ravens) and over (Texans). Of course he can throw a couple nice short passes to wide open guys when he has all day. But when you cannot throw a four yard out pattern across half the field you cannot play in this league. Period. And that is not his only liability. There are at least three more beauts.
  11. Peterman can't play even if he is named the starter though.
  12. I'm torn. I'm glad McD cut the goodbyes short, but for once Schopp and BD were absolutely right. Playing Peterman is actually insane. I don't know what to do.
  13. The block was simply not his fault. He also had a great punt downed in the air at the five and boomed one from near his own goalline that was over 60 yards in the air. It got called back and then he boomed another. He was rather good yesterday.
  14. It's actually a maddening combination of factors. McDermott knows little about offense. That is abundantly clear by several mind-boggling choices. But worse, Daboll has zero experience in successfully grooming a young QB - AND - McDermott hired a QB coach who not only never developed a young QB but is not even a QB coach. And they surrounded him with Nate Peterman. So HC, plus OC plus QB coach plus no veteran QB (until now) with no history or experience in doing the one thing crucial to a young raw talented rookie QB is criminal.
  15. It was also a bad snap. He had to reach to his left for it and then bring it back. At first I thought he bobbled it but on replay he didn't. He actually made a nice little play. I doubt whether a good snap would have prevented the block, however, as you say there were several Texans in at the same time.
  16. Exactly. Been saying this forever. It's incredible that NFL coaching cannot see this. It was evident from day one, game one.
  17. He changed the play to a throw he can't throw? I thought Nate was supposed to be smart?
  18. He really should have blamed God like Stevie did.
  19. Plimpton was Jeff George compared to Nate.
  20. The blocked punt was a whole world of problems. First it was a bad snap. If it was a clean snap it still may have been blocked because there were a few guys breaking in. Imo it wasn't Bojangles fault.
  21. Fitz has a substantially stronger arm than Nate. Fitz has an adequate NFL arm, Nate inadequate.
  22. Fans suck as much as preseason. They don't know what they are watching or they put too much emphasis on watching something at three-quarters speed without game planning and players going 100%.
  23. There is not a Qb in the league outside of the superstars that could have succeeded on this team with this line, WR, TE, RB, and coaching. Veterans would have played better than Josh. Of course. But it would be by limited mistakes not making great plays to good players. This offense man for man is awful. And the coaches are suspect.
  24. Maybin was awful but not nearly the meltdowns.
