  1. That's not really what Anderson said. He said he spoke with them in the spring but didn't really feel right. He also signed for peanuts. So it's very possible they lowballed him and that is why he didn't sign earlier. Beane has been known for that. Sometimes it works, and they get guys cheap. Sometimes they don't get guys because they don't want to play for that.
  2. They started Nate Freakin' Peterman, put him in again to similar results, and are now threatening to pull that caper again. And did you watch Beathard's first five games on All-22?
  3. I think that's what DElitePoster means, yes.
  4. Yep. It's as bad for football discussion as it is good, but I'm quite glad they have it. It's not widely known, but Shanahan has never actually spoken to Beathard since he has been there. CJ has did this two game hot streak all on his own.
  5. I watch it. It's awesome. And a curse for people who don't know what they are watching, or claim guys are wide open a second after the QB has already looked at them when they weren't open and on to his second or third progression.
  6. There was IIRC a crossing pattern to Holmes who was wide open about 15 yards in the middle of the field when Peterman had all day that was a nice throw by Nate. His second best.
  7. Nope. Needs to stay for all eternity. Just in case certain nameless bozos cannot trust their eyes.
  8. Newsflash. Better coaching and better surrounding players = better performance. Worse coaching and worse surrounding players = worse surrounding performance. At least that has been the trend since sports were invented 4000 years ago.
  9. Because coaching and teammates have nothing to do with performance.
  10. He's terrible at slants. It's his second worst pattern. He's almost always behind and if he's not is more likely to be high than on the money. He was way behind on his only slant sunday.
  11. Raw stats like that are less than worthless. If you put Allen on the Browns with Jackson and Haley and Landry and that line he would be doing far better, and if you put Mayfield with McD and Daboll and Culley and Benjamin and Zay he would be doing much worse. And I have watched every play of his and he is no better than Allen.
  12. He threw two great 40 yard passes in a little more than a half on Sunday. Was not his fault a FB lined up as a WR on the opposite side of the field which had nothing to do with the play was not lined up correctly.
  13. McDermott + Logic ≠ Window
  14. And for the fourth or fifth time in a row Peterman will make McDermott look like an idiot ( I don't count the snow game where no one on either team could really show their skills in any real way). I don't think McD can afford that.
  15. WR most often sign with other teams for a few different reasons: to win, for money, to put up numbers for future contracts with this team or another one, and playing time. All we can offer them is playing time and almost no chance to put up numbers.
  16. If you are looking for him to make the right choice 90-100% of the time right now, under these circumstances, you are right, he does. But he also pulls it down too early and runs for TDs, the one TD in the game, against the Titans.
  17. His real criticism here is that he doesn't trust his arm, which is true in this game because he didn't make some throws but that could have been coaching (scaling back throws), and we all know he very much trusts his arm, except perhaps now. Not trusting man coverage, and pulling ball down and running against man coverage, when also saying WR are not getting open against man coverage is not really a criticism of JA.
  18. Ummm... that wasn't real coke.
  19. That seemed to blame the WR more than JA, if you extrapolate what he is saying.
  20. No they don't. At all. They may have a guy who arguably played like a franchise QB in two of his seven seasons though. Which is hardly the same.
