  1. 1. It cannot be, under any circumstance, that any player can just go to the team and say I don't want to be here anymore, and the team's position is "we don't want anyone that doesn't want to be here" and they accommodate him. That is just impossible. 2. That's what we would hope. But if I am Brian Daboll, I go to Beane and say, I know coach loves him some Nathan, but he just can't do it in this league. Do we both go to him together?
  2. Oh, I totally think that was it. That he couldn't believe that he was behind Peterman whom McCarron knew he was much better than. The point is they didn't have to trade him, and they shouldn't have traded him, just because he said he wanted out. Again, he is not going to be the guy to be a locker room cancer, it would ruin everything he has built up about himself his entire life. We all know what McD thinks about Nate, and I think most of us believe this is his team a lot more than it is Beane's. But I would love to know what Beane and Daboll actually think about Peterman when McD isn't in the room.
  3. It still doesn't make any sense. I believe that he could have said he wanted out because he wasn't going to start. That is debatable. But then he goes to a team where he has a far less chance to start and play than the Bills, and that is okay with him? They should have kept him. He is not the kind of guy to not try in practice or not be ready to play if and when called upon, or not to help Josh.
  4. Don’t be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution.
  5. It had 100,000 seats. Most stadiums now are 60 or so. The Chargers and the NFL made a ridiculously stupid decision trying to place the Chargers in LA. I don't know why, but they thought a substantial if not large number of Charger fans in SD would remain loyal to them because of the proximity of the cities, and the 1-2 hour drive for a lot of them wouldn't be bad. But it was the same concept as moving the Bills to Toronto and they should have known that. Very few Buffalo fans would have remained faithful to the Bills if they were the Toronto Bills. I don't know one person who would have been, although I am sure they exist. In fact, it's easy to imagine the Chargers would be hated more than liked if they moved to LA. Corporations and local companies will buy up enough tickets in a new stadium but thinking SD fans would remain Charger fans when they were betrayed and there is a lot of jealousy/rivalry with LA was dumb.
  6. It is obviously a joke. I am not mocking anything. Except Nathan Peterman of course.
  7. That is why I was hoping it wasn't a bad injury. For a long time he didn't have anything on his arm. Later in the game, he had a bandage that looked like maybe some ice in it. Not sure how he left the stadium.
  8. And a threat to run. Wasn't he like an All American sprinter or Olympics or something?
  9. Do they sell tee-shirts at Anderson's Frozen Custard?
  10. That's a tough one. Knowing what I know about us... them.
  11. Fitz was the Amish Rifle. Nate was the Episcopalian Peashooter.
  12. How was Trapp's arm? They could just switch places! I know he was a CB but he does have a Super Bowl ring.
  13. I would be surprised if they didn't do that.
  14. McD might name him the Team Chaplain.
  15. If Anderson goes out and stinks up the joint and throws, like, three INTs about all we can say about it is, he looked twice as good as Nate.
  16. They may as well put a bobblehead out there with that on a loop.
  17. I think there would be a good chance I would end up with an extremely rare UCL injury after elbowing a wall too hard.
  18. The number of tackles a DT like Star makes has extremely little to do with how well he is performing. That's a very fair criticism and I have been a fan of the signing from the start. Beane is somewhat of a strange negotiator. It's impossible, of course, to know exactly how much to pay any player when you sign them in FA or renegotiate contracts. But he seems to either lowball or overpay guys.
  19. There is an article about him from the San Diego Tribune, from a writer that obviously hates him, that gives a laundry list of facts and accusations about the guy. It's a long list, and after reading it I too have a lot of trouble with a doctor like that, as a team physician. It's slanted, of course, but this Chao guy has a lot of sketchy occurrences in his past. That said, all I have to go on is what the guy says as a TV doctor, watching video of injuries and providing quick diagnoses of what the injury is like. I have seen probably ten of them in the last two years and he was very accurate for the most part. And he comes out and says I only saw it on TV but this is what it looks like. So I think he provides a good perspective for fans, regardless of his sketchy past.
  20. Too many people mistake guys like Fitz with guys like Peterman. There is a world of difference in their arm strength and talent. Fitz can make every throw. Peterman cannot and never will. It’s a physical liability.
  21. Then how come the same doesn’t apply to the offense?
  22. If this season is a total wash as you say and doesn’t matter at all, why con Kyle Williams into playing? Why keep Shady and likely waste one of his last two good years? Why keep Lorax?
  23. Here is one of the many problems with “separation” stats. Joe B says Zay has two yards of separation, which he does, on the CB. But it is an accurate well timed pass. And of course he doesn’t have two yards of separation on the safety who is actually touching him before the ball is. Are you really going to say our WR had two yards of separation on a bullet right to him when he is interfered with (called or not?).
