That is wholly true. However, McD specifically looks for and plays and activates guys who are specifically there for special teams. Taiwan Jones, Andre Holmes, Deon Lacey, etc. He puts a lot of emphasis on them and yet they still suck and are undisciplined.

I really don't think even the very, very best wide receivers make that catch more than 50% of the time. Benjamin had it in his two hands at the very apex of his jump. It was actually great timing on his part. It's physically impossible to have ultimate hand strength at that moment. Immediately as he brought it down the defender got his whole arm in there to knock it away. That wasn't a drop at all. He could have caught it but it was far more a pass breakup and great defensive play than a drop. And I hate defending Benjamin. He's pitiful this year. And lazy.

Yep. I don't think they knew this was going to be a lousy year at all. I think they thought a couple good bounces and we make the playoffs again. I think they just miscalculated on a bunch of players and coaches, especially the most important position in sports.

I've been saying this for months. You don't "plan" to "tank" in year two. You do it year one and start rebuilding as soon as you can. And if you do it in year two you don't beg Kyle Williams to come back for one more year.

I think there was a penalty on the Bears and instead of needing to go two yards it was only one yard. Most teams decide to go for two in that situation unless the one point is critical.

EJ is substantially better than Peterman and EJ is substantially better than no one.

He threw three INT. Two were unlucky bounces. But let's not call them good passes. The first one was arguable. Pryor maybe should have caught it. But it wasn't a good throw. The second one was a bad bounce, too, but it was a lousy throw. The DB got to it easier than the WR, then it bounced up, then it was intercepted.

Yep. You can fault him a ton for starting Peterman any of these games, and sticking with him after it was glaringly clear he cannot get it done. But you cannot fault him for what he said in response to that question. It was a Catch-22. The real sad part is that it was a serious question. The fact that it was asked is troubling by itself.
