  1. The NFL, in league with the NFLPA, should award the Bills a compensatory pick for keeping him at that salary.
  2. He'll forgive us.
  3. We surely don't need seven WR with this offense.
  4. When Josh gets back, fast guys will be even more valuable. That's probably another reason. This should have been well known before the season started. A lot of us (including you IIRC) were criticizing the handling of the QB situation because we had no WR, and Popgun Pete, which would allow the defenses to easily take away our run game, and we wouldn't and couldn't beat them over the top, which was exactly what happened. And it didn't take a rocket surgeon. It's incredible that McD and Beane didn't accept this.
  5. The Patriots do this all the time and no one blames them. They made a calculated decision that of the three guys they recently signed, Foster and McKittrick stay, and Pryor goes. That is not surprising at all given that we have no reason to keep seven WR.
  6. I agree with all of that except the bold, and therein lies the problem. Practice is not at full speed. He can complete a 15 yard out in practice because the CBs are not tuned into the play like it is in a game and closing on the ball at top speed in practice. So the coaches got duped. But they shouldn't have and it's entirely on them. You also don't get a real pass rush in practice.
  7. We didn't need seven WR when only one or two of them on any given day can catch.
  8. He can’t play in this league with real bullets flying. He’ll likely end up successful in some other endeavor. But it was mostly a physical liability that prevented him. There has only been one guy in 30 years that succeeded to some degree with ragarmitosis. I wish him well.
  9. McD could be investigated for child abuse.
  10. The long national nightmare is over.
  11. These kind of guys are teases. It’s better to hate him now before you’re forced to and then face palm yourself and scream WTF was I thinking into your bathroom mirror.
  12. You’d quickly learn to hate him as a backup, too.
  13. A drunkard’s dream if I ever did see one.
  14. So what are you saying, his name isn’t Issac McKittrick it’s Butch McKittrick? Someone should correct that.
  15. Practice squad players practice with the team. It was known to be the first play of the game probably by Wednesday. You don't think they practiced it? It was a fly pattern up the sideline to a guy who easily beat his man. He could not have ever heard of Robert Foster and would know that if it is to his inside shoulder it's a TD.
  16. A “good” pass by Barkley on the first play of the game hits him on the run to the inside and is a 70 yard TD.
  17. The first play was really great tracking in the air and very good over the shoulder basket catch. Everyone is claiming how good Barkley was. A good pass there is a 70 yard TD.
  18. When you have a crappy offense that doesn’t get a lot of first downs the defense has 2-3 more possessions a game to defend. Not to mention field position like you said. Or momentum. Or emotion. Or other stuff that affects play. It’s really a testament to this defense.
  19. Because he cannot throw a deep out pattern. He cannot get it over the middle 20 yards down the field unless the WR is wide open. He threw a BUNCH of very weak passes today, and he was very lucky none of them were INTs. But that's who he is. Do you really think a guy who was from the school he was, with his college record, who was drafted in the fourth round and then cut by five teams and has a 63 passer rating for his career is suddenly good and has a good arm? This is who he is. He is smart and throws lob passes.
  20. Fitz has a substantially stronger arm than Barkley. Fitz "can make all the throws." Matt cannot. That doesn't mean Fitz has a strong arm or good arm, he doesn't. But it's adequate. Barkley's isn't.
  21. He's already good at clogging passing lanes and deflecting passes, showing pretty good athleticism.
  22. I totally agree. And then with the extra roster spot we should draft Calvin Ridley.
  23. We somewhat benefitted from Clay being injured and Foster and McKittrick being activated. Clay is better than Croom and Thomas but it stopped Daboll from playing three TEs and having a lot of two TE formations. Adding the speed of Foster and McKittrick to the rotation, along with Pryor who did nothing but is pretty fast, kept Holmes on the bench and Phillips off the team and there was a noticeable difference in the patterns and scheme and some guys getting open. Barkley, who is smart, took advantage. Daboll called a good game. The Jets couldn't crowd the LOS because of the early bomb and Foster's speed. And the running game got some holes and some good decisions by the backs. It all added up to the totally different looking game. There is an argument to be made that Robert Foster was the MVP of this game.
