  1. They changed the rule a few years ago. You used to not be allowed to shove the runner ahead at all and now you can.
  2. Then why didn't Crossman stop him when he was running onto the field?
  3. Yeah that's pretty accurate. He's amazingly nimble and quick at times. You also never see a guy with his size as the PR sometimes, and he's really good. Had a ridiculous 90 yard PR TD earlier this year.
  4. The ST also made an absolutely horrendous and inexcusable mistake and play yesterday getting a too many men on the field penalty on a punt, which gifted the Jags a first down, which was the equivalent of a INT or fumble.
  5. Aren't the Next Gen mph speeds the top speed and not the average speed?
  6. And you say this because that same management signed Bortles to a huge extension before this season?
  7. Whenever there is a fight in the NFL it reminds me of the best Rex quote ever, to Channing Crowder, who challenged Rex to some degree. Rex said, "I've stepped over tougher guys than him, going to a fight" or something like that. Genius.
  8. Surprisingly, McD singled out the special teams as doing very well in his post game speech yesterday.
  9. He was lousy. He did get two lucky bounces when the jax PR didn't bother catching or returning the low short punts. He booted another in the endzone. And he had 2-3 short punts with no hang time.
  10. EDIT: Yup. 2006. "The Buffalo Bills signed Kingsbury in 2006 and he attended training camp with the Bills, but did not see any regular season action with the team.[2]"
  11. I think he was. Like in preseason. I will look it up.
  12. Wasn't he on the Bills for a short while?
  13. I was particularly fond of the "Lee Smith Gun" Offense.
  14. Well not if he can't hang onto the ball. He dropped a punt return yesterday rather easily but it bounced right back to him. He looks pretty good for sure. Good on jet sweeps. And had three nice plays as a WR yesterday. If he doesn't fumble that's a valuable player.
  15. Maybe. But it's inarguable that he is here because one of those coaches at Alabama thought he was good enough for the NFL.
  16. So in other words he's getting fired?
  17. Yup. Agree with all of that. Not sold on Gase though. Seems to me to be the smartest guy in the room type. Sometimes it works. But not for long haul.
  18. Tannehill was playing pretty well yesterday and Gase called two draws plays on third and ten late in the fourth quarter, neither worked and they lost a ten point lead.
  19. You may be right. But this is a pretty big collapse. And I wouldn't have said what I did if Hackett wasn't just fired. Clearly scapegoatted. So I think Coughlin will say these weren't my guys. Lot of people thought Marrone was gone before last year. Scottenheimer got fired after a 14-2 season or something like that.
  20. I think it's inarguable that some guys have game speed and some don't, and that with pads on guys run faster than other guys, and that the 40 time is actually a pretty lousy way of gauging how fast a guy is in the middle of a football game.
  21. Leaving the bench in any brawl should be an automatic suspension of a game, but the NFL rules make little sense so why should that.
  22. People are hung up on the 8-19 stat. You and others pointed out that the stat was misleading. But even if you took his raw stats and looked at them a different way, he averaged 20 yards a completion, which is off the charts, and averaged 8.4 average per attempt, which would be seventh in the league.
