  1. Love that Foster said "give me a landmark," and Josh said "bottom of the 40," and they nailed it. What a play.
  2. In no specific order: Win games Win championships Show true leadership and mental toughness Have accuracy and arm strength Size Experience Good ball-handling and play-action skills Read a defense at full speed under durress Handle a heavy rush Stand strong in the pocket under fire Step up in or slide in the pocket Have poise Follow game plans Think quickly and act decisively Be fearless, tough, and never panic Have the ability to run, scramble, and throw on the run both left and right Know and work the clock Throw left, right and down the middle; short, medium and long; and all with power, touch and accuracy Be coachable Call audibles Command a huddle Study film Withstand and play with pain Stay healthy Run the two-minute and four-minute offense And then play your very best at crunch time in the biggest games on the biggest stage with the most on the line under severe pressure. Oh, and don’t be a jerk to your coaches, teammates, fans or anyone off the field. Ever. All while 11 enormous maniacs are actually trying to rip your head off or bury a helmet into your sternum or spleen. It's been said before of course, and you know this, but he had three very nice completions called back, two drops ( albeit one was tough catch) and three incompletions that he avoided the rush and rolled out and threw it away. Plus two inc which were a Hail Mary good pass, and a third and 25 where he just heaved it up on a prayer, which is a way better play and idea than a 3 yard pass every other Bills QB does. He was accurate.
  3. "I don't have millions!" Nice stuff, Rob. Love these stories.
  4. I have heard Sabres, in interviews, use both Dahls and Dahlers. Dahlers isn't bad.
  5. Yeah, that is part of the same thing. They loved the no-nonsense stuff, which was the complete opposite of the clownshow of Rex and the weirdness of GMTM, which was happening alongside both of their teams losing, and the fans all over town and twitter beginning to question the Pegulas' smarts.
  6. As AD said, "celly" has been a hockey word for a long while. That said, people who are asking did it come up in the last few weeks are somewhat correct, too. It's been all over the football world, I assume perhaps because of the NFL team celebrations this year. So in the last couple months (even to last year) fans all over the place have been using that word, which has crept into the consciousness. On another point from above, I have been convinced that Terry and Kim fell in love with Sean McDermott from the time they met him, and his young, no nonsense, "trust the process" demeanor and plan, which is why they hired Jason Botterill when the GM job became open (as well as Brandon Beane). They're similar in a lot of ways although, of course, not everything. Botterill and Housley, as far as pushing all the right buttons and pulling all the right strings, are as hot as their team is. Keep it up, boys.
  7. Yep. Girgs and Larsson are both playing very good hockey now. Housley really trusts them.
  8. I think that Dahlin touched it though as it bounced to Skinner. Looked that way to me. Jones chips at it and it sort of stops and drops. I thought it hit Dahlin, which allowed Skinner to swoop in. Dahlin is ridiculous. And definitely gaining confidence in rushing the puck with every game. I'm not sure how much is watching him and how much is Housley, but every one of the D are rushing to the net now. Before they would come up along the boards and pinch more. But now they are allow rushing the net from the backside like Beaulieu did tonight and charging the net like Bogo and Risto did. It's so fun to watch, and the forwards are playing smart and covering, for the most part.
  9. A lot of numbers lie. Especially the 8's and the 19's.
  10. Both Foster and McKenzie got released twice this year, and the idea that we needed speed should have been evident to any high school coach let alone an NFL HC or GM. I think they probably desevere more criticism for that than props.
  11. I think that the Jeff Driskel Foundation saves wombats.
  12. It was also Jason LaContortion who said that about Hue, and he graduated from MSU (Making Schitt Up).
  13. Oh, I thought you meant an overpaid diva RB who didn't want to be here.
  14. I could have made better QB choices, I can tell you that. Although, again, it wasn't hard. Nate should have been released before the start of last year, and if not, surely after the Chargers game. And it wasn't hindsight 20/20. It was foresight 80/20.
  15. 3520 all purpose chassis yards would be incredible.
  16. Actually one mile would be great, and two miles would be amazing.
  17. Didn't take a rocket surgeon.
  18. He is getting clobbered but yes because of his size and his elusiveness and speed, he's not getting clobbered nearly as much as I think Mayfield would be. Mayfield is smart and clever in the pocket but he would be getting killed back there. Josh doesn't get nearly enough credit for no sacks yesterday. That was almost as impressive as the TD run and TD throw.
  19. Yup. He really did on that reverse pivot and race for the sidelines for a first down in the first half. Really quick. But if the numbers are for top speed any comparisons to any 40 time is kind of foolish.
  20. You mean after yesterday?
  21. Marv was a special teams coach before he became a HC and put a huge emphasis on it. Helped to have two fantastic ST guys in Tasker and Pike, along with a good PK.
  22. What should have happened is McD should have called a timeout. When he was noticed racing off the field and not close to it the Browns were already ready to snap the ball. He loves to waste timeouts other ways, this one would have been wise. Wouldn't have been worth it if the Browns had over five yards to go but it was 4.5.
  23. Kaizen's are great with salt and caraway seeds on top.
  24. I really like Mayfield, but I think if you put him on this team with these coaches and this line and this running game and these receivers, he wouldn't be doing any better at all than Josh. He'd be more accurate on some short passes, sure, but he would be getting clobbered. And he would have a lot more INTs imo.
