  1. This guy is very well liked by a lot of people. Very good signing for versatility. Great day for Beane.
  2. Beasley is also the kind of player that will get wide open when Josh is scrambling wildly.
  3. I like the combination of Brown and Beasley. True speed guy and true slot guy. Hopefully Foster ascends. This allows Duke to sneak in as a #4 and completely different kind of player.
  4. Terrific signing. Huge need. Solid talent. First signing I'm excited about. Need 2-3 more starting OL in FA, trade or draft but very good start.
  5. Meh. They spent 18-21m on a guy who is a #2 at position that is only 1-2 at a time. We still need a starting TE.
  6. Loved Rectify. Really well made all around. Didn’t want it to end and I doubted I would like it when I started.
  7. People are nuts in this thread. It's not going to trial. Everyone knows that. I am proposing that if it did, the jury would be seeing two tapes of Kraft paying a woman and then getting sex and then leaving in 14 minutes. There is no other possible conclusion to that except he paid for sex. It was not a date. They were not lovers getting a quickie. Lawyers can argue all they want that it is not what it seems but everyone in the world would know it was paid sex. Which is illegal.
  8. I was kidding obviously. I think it's just an oversight and not a slight by him, and that he also thinks, as I do, that with two good legs, Haushcka will be fine this year, and the field goal issues of late last year were an aberration, due to injury, and not a trend due to sucktitude. Now, the return teams and coverage teams is a whole different story. They were awful.
  9. I think he was probably thinking two TDs, a missed extra point, two field goals and a safety.
  10. Myself and many others did. And besides, even if you give him a pass the first time, he had the knowledge that he was terrible the second time, and refused to see it right in front of his face. I'm very much hoping McD and Beane can find several good players in FA, the draft, and trades, and if they do, this could be a pretty good to very good team. But there is nothing, literally nothing, that would make me bet on it. So far, McD is batting about .113 on offense.
  11. I understand. But I am also saying that a 12 member jury, even if not allowed to think about the other 19, will think of the other 19, and could very well conclude, without "proof" that this was prostitution beyond a reasonable doubt (if they have video of Kraft two times, on two consecutive days, with two different women). An eyewitness account is not "proof." Simple living on the planet for 18+ years is all the proof you need to know with 99.999999% certainty that this was prostitution.
  12. You can't play the same card twice though.
  13. He did start Nathan Peterman in two straight seasons, genuinely believing that he had "what it takes to win in today's NFL."
  14. Of course they don't but it's also very possible that people in a jury (it will never go to one of course) can decide someone is guilty based on simple reason along with circumstantial evidence. You would also have to believe that the 19 or however many other guys also had this somewhat swift romantic consensual relationship with this woman, who was also arrested. There is rarely real proof in a lot of these cases. The chances that a bullet linked by forensics to a murder weapon is wrong is much more likely than this not being prostitution and everyone on earth that follows this knows it no matter what they say.
  15. According to my sources, I'm not a pro football player.
  16. All I would have to prove is that I have working synapses in my brain. That is proof.
  17. If he was drafted in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh round, UDFA or taken in the 17th round of the MLB draft, posters would B word the same about the number of dropped passes right in his hands in his rookie year, which had very little to do with the offense, Tyrod, or anything.
  18. Chances are that he is losing money to play. The rumors were he was offered 4-4.5m for the MNF gig, and Schefter reported the Cowboys deal is 3.5 (which I assume has 1.5 in incentives as I have also seen the 5m number. But Schefter is usually very accurate on this kind of stuff. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/04/30/report-espn-offering-jason-witten-4-4-5-million-per-year/
  19. That's the point. It's 100% impossible to believe that it was not prostitution and that he knew it was prostitution because it was NOT a date.
  20. So you're saying it was consensual sex between two adults who met, chatted, courted each other, grew fond of each other enough to have consensual sex and finished in 14 minutes?
  21. I doubt it was a money grab. He was making 4-5m I bet for the MNF gig. There are very few pro athletes anywhere that give it up until they are forced to, and personally I don't blame them for playing as long as they can. If the team doesn't think they are worth it, they cut them.
  22. If you categorically deny the charge of sex in a massage parlor when the police say they have two videos of it you are denying it. technical, and of course the lawyer is going to say this, but it is still a denial. Put it this way, he is NOT saying that he went in there for 14 minutes, sweet-talked a 58-year-old woman to have consensual, non-hooker sex with him and then go on a date.
  23. Jones reportedly had been begging him and is the one that made the $5m offer. Witten had turned it down before but just accepted. Jones had to want him back before he could choose to do so.
  24. Because he got rid of or lost Watkins, Woods, Goodwin and replaced them with Benjamin, Matthews and Kerley. Plus traded up to draft Jones. Got rid of Glenn, and lost Ritchie and Wood, but didn't replace them with anyone. Got rid of Tyrod and replaced him with McCarron who he then got rid of to keep Peterman, the worst QB in history. He did nothing at TE. He signed a terrible OC and had to get rid of him after one year. He signed a terrible OL coach and had to get rid of him after two years. He signed two lousy WR coaches and had to get rid of both of them. He signed a WR to be QB coach and luckily got rid of him. The jury is still out on Daboll and the new guys. The only good thing that has happened in two years on offense is the drafting of Josh, which is something they HAD to do, and perhaps Robert Foster. It's been a colossal failure so far. Beane surely played a large part but McD is in charge of this team.
