  1. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  2. Brady can and does get the ball out quicker than anyone in the league. But they also throw 40 times a game. And Brady also has more times back to pass when he just sits there, all day, with his blockers holding their guys out way longer than normal or other teams. If he can block for the Pats he can likely block for Josh. Not that he is a stud, he's a backup. But the fact that Brady gets it out quick a lot does not at all mean his linemen are not blocking. He has ALL day, all day at times. I agree that Castillo was awful but Dawkins was not great in 2017, he was good for a rookie. And he was bad last year. And he was not good at all on the right side as a rookie either. He had a lot of foot problems. The point is, he is not a stud now and is just potential.
  3. Let me ask you something. How would this change, if at all, if this were Star QB or Star WR on the Bills. And not in the theoretical world but in the real world?
  4. I honestly haven't studied them enough to have any real idea whether or not I think anyone is worth that spot. There seems to be a lot of differing opinions as to the validity of any of the top three at #9
  5. I like this signing as you said, he's our swing guy. Imo, we still need a stud T and I'm not at all abject to taking one at 9 or trading down and taking a top prospect in the first or second. Dawkins is not that good. In his first year, people act as if he was very good. He wasn't. He was pretty good and very promising. Last year he regressed. He wasn't that good at all. Granted, no one was. But he is not a surefire LT at all. Ideally, I would want a top pick LT, Dawkins, Morse, Long or Felicano, and Ty at RT. With LaAdrian Claywaddle as the swing, the loser of the Long/Fel battle as backup G and Teller. That would make for a pretty solid line and drastic improvement.
  6. What Sully didn’t say in his tweet was that George Seifert was in the middle seat between Sully and Clayborn.
  7. Roberts, as far as being a roster lock and active on game day is ahead of Zay and Duke, even if he is a lesser WR. That’s not even up for argument. I was saying if Duke proves to be able to be the big physical 50-50 ball guy he has potential to be, he will leapfrog Zay because he will be a completely different kind of WR than anyone else, and fit this various weapons idea more than the true #1, true #2 and so on idea.
  8. I do know how it works, and I do know all about how they slot guys, and their board and all of that crap. And I also know they were taking one of four QBs #1 last year and those four guys were NOT 1-4 on their board.
  9. There doesn't even seem to be any rumors about the rumors.
  10. Best Player Available means best player available. Teams still scout and rate players at every position, including QB when they have a QB, assign them a rating and then slot them. What if Josh were to get in a freak accident, injury or off the field issue before the draft, they would for sure look hard at QBs at 9. Even if you were right, they are NOT taking a C at #9 if he is clearly the best player on the board after they just made Morse the top paid center in the league. BPA doesn't exist. It is ALWAYS looking at the top few and making a determination, based on numerous factors, and then sometimes if not often eventually coming to the conclusion that the BPA is actually the one we should and will take.
  11. Wait a minute, are you saying that you do not trust a guy whose nickname is "Sully?" There is no verification of this, but if it were true, it would take hours after what allegedly happened to be reported by the Bills, or anyone associated with them. That said, it's somewhat hard to believe that the Bills had already agreed to a contract with him, at this stage of free agency, so quickly after being let go by the Patriots, without seeing him first. So the idea that he was on a plane and told the guy next to him that he was on his way to Buffalo to sign with the Bills this afternoon is suspect. Possible he is coming in for a visit.
  12. A DE that pressures the QB, can still stop the run, gets sacks, hustles his ass off to the whistle on every play and runs down guys on the other side of the field fits every scheme perfectly.
  13. He's a poor #1 and a pretty good #2, therefore we need a starter. If we get a TE in rounds 1-3 I would be pretty happy with Draft Guy and Kroft as TEs, Brown and Foster on the outside, and Beasley in the slot. And if Duke comes up as the big WR, even if our #4, there are a lot of diverse, interchangeable weapons in the six players in and out of the lineup as receivers.
  14. Please no. He's been our best DL player for years, better than Kyle, and is still top tier.
  15. Some of that was obvious, a lot of it was sometimes proven wrong, but if the Bills or any team took that advice, for the most part (infrequently deviating when it thought it had to for a specific strong player) we would be way ahead by now. Overall, that's very sound advice and makes a lot of sense.
  16. In theory, that is a good idea, and it's possible that could happen. I know that Gore is ageless, but the idea is to give him a limited number of snaps so he can be effective late in games and late in the season. So the idea of using him as a battering ram blocking back, which he could surely do, and not having a true FB a few or several times a game somewhat defeats that purpose. DiMarco has been somewhat of a disappointment, of course, but Daboll still likes to employ a FB in his offense.
  17. While it is disputed as to how far it went and what happened, there is zero question that Beane and the Bills wanted Antonio Brown.
  18. Right. My point is really that everyone is going to deny it to the team whether they did anything or didn’t. Hunt wouldn’t have helped himself in the long run if he admitted there was a small altercation but it was nothing serious. He’s not going to say “Then I came back and kicked her when she was on the floor but it was nothing.” Hill is going to deny it. What we find out will determine if he is gone. “
  19. I want them to draft one, too. But there are so many needs still. And if they do, where do you see Zay fit? The not playing ST is going to kill him.
  20. BPA is total nonsense. If the BPA is a QB, C, RB, MLB or S, the Bills are not taking him. They may in third round but that is unlikely except maybe RB. We still need help at every position though. With OL, TE, DT, LB, DE all essential.
  21. I guarantee that if/when asked did you break your son’s arm, Hill says no. Or says he didn’t do it in some way. So if he did he would be gone.
  22. If the Bills draft a WR in first 5 rounds or make a trade for one, I don’t see how Zay stays. Brown, Beasley and Foster are starters. Roberts is a lock. Duke offers far more the different kind of WR than Zay. And Zay doesn’t play ST. Roberts can play the gadget plays that McKittrick ran last year. They are only going to have 3-4 WR active on game day plus Roberts who will always be active barring injury. Right now I think it’s Brown, Beasley, Foster, Duke, Roberts, Zay. In that order. With Zay not active. Although it’s possible that Duke just doesn’t perform. I think he will. There is also always a surprise WR that makes it. Maybe it’s Cam. Or McKittrick and Zay is traded for a 6 or 7.
  23. Very good player. Extremely big need and important position for us. Impossible not to like the guy after seeing the press conference. This was a great signing.
  24. Thanks for this. Good interview. Beane handles himself pretty well, let's hope he chose the right guys. I'm pumped. We still need several holes filled but he's off to a good start.
