  1. Yep. Huge overhaul. Out of necessity though. 8 of our OL were awful. All but one or two of our WR and TE were awful. Not just bad; awful.
  2. Just posted this in Spain thread but it belongs here.... It’s impossible to know, it’s easy to argue against, but the optimist in me can see an advantage in all new guys, as vets, with a new coach, being able to gel quicker because they are all starting from same place, together, versus 3-4 guys who played together for a couple years in one system under same coach trying to learn a new way with 1-2 additions, likely rookies, which is the way it normally happens. Especially with top, vet, cerebral C calling shots.

  4. I read somewhere that all nine of them hope to be gas station attendants. It’s kinda weird.
  5. Yep. True story. IIRC he missed his first couple rookie practices because they didn't have a big enough helmet and they got a couple he wore at USC. That's how I remember it at least. He has a huge head and they didn't have one his first few days.
  6. In that situation that is not a crime, that is a two minute penalty in the box.
  7. And one of the best GMs. It's sick, really. What he does for the offense is find OL that can block for his scheme and Brady, and he consistently does it. Guys that wouldn't and often don't do well on other teams. Then he does that for WR and RBs, too. Especially RB. Granted, Brady is the one that makes them great with his ridiculous accuracy and decision making overall. But Bellichick finds these guys. And then the game planning, which he is ridiculous at, too. Both offense and defense. There has never never anyone like him and I hate the guy.
  8. They were always conservative. They never went for it on fourth and short and often punted from the opponent's 40 yard line. On the classic "All in the Family," Archie had two friends at work named Elmo, and he called them Black Elmo and Regular Elmo.
  9. How were you in the service in the 1800's, and did you ever meet General Washington? How cool would that be?!
  10. Beane was part of only 10% of the roster turnover the last two years? Wow. I’m done here.
  11. It will still just say ALLEN on the back. But his number will be 2.0
  12. You didn’t answer because you can’t. Why do you think they are called that? They got rid of virtually everyone in two years outside of Shady and Hughes. And maybe Shaq. The LS doesn’t count. That’s astounding. Lorax too.
  13. Name all of the other GM/HC tandems in Bills or NFL History where fans linked the two by calling them one name? There is a reason for it. They talk about how alike they are themselves.
  14. The reason they are called McBeane is they are basically the same guy. Whether one makes a decision or both. They came from the same place, vacation together, think the same. When someone says McBeane on this site, which is approximately 535,883 times it’s one or the other or both. Beane traded Sammy. They both acquired Benjamin. McDermott didn’t try to keep Woods or Goodwin and drafted Jones but a lot of folks thought Beane was already on his way and was communicating, especially with Whaley already out the door. If Beane was there the exact same thing would have happened. They wanted individually and collectively to get rid of almost everyone and start over.
  15. “And I have to see the candy BEFORE I step into the van. I’m not stupid!” Name me one team ever that ever lost anything that had two Josh Allens. You can’t. Because it never happened.
  16. McBeane includes McDermott. It's the Mc part. How hard is that to understand.
  17. Didn't that dude once say he would suck D to get Austin Proehl and Ray Ray McCloud?
  18. Methinks better chance of moving down in round one (from 9) and better chance of moving up in rounds two through seven, even moving back up into end of round one after the initial move down.
  19. I said they did nothing to keep any of the three. That is a fact. I would have tried to keep all three, hoping to keep two and yes, I know how much that would have cost. A little more than Brown and Beasley (unless the two were Woods and Sammy and it still would be worth it. Allen would kill it with those two. Any two of those three). And I know all about Woods and LA, I live here, too. I also said, as Shaw did, McBeane, as in McDermott and Beane. As of right now, they both have an abysmal record of selecting offensive players. I like the signings of Brown and Beasley and they have a chance to do well. We'll see who they draft. I totally agree with you on Zay and McDermott could EASILY start him (for no good reason) over Foster.
  20. There is not a chance that GMs sign players they don't think are pretty good. You don't trade a 3 unless you think he is very good. Do you really think that Beane or McDermott think Wyatt Teller is better than Morse? (or even Feliciano or Long, or Spain they just brought in?). Do they think Zay Jones is better than Brown or Beasley?
  21. The Gettleman that just gave away OBJ? That Gettleman?
  22. Good post, except McBeane thought Kelvin Benjamin was a #1 WR. And Boldin and Matthews and Maclin and Cotchery were good, and did nothing to keep Sammy, Woods and Goodwin.
  23. Wasn't there some Bella chick in that Twilight movie about vampires?
