NFL.com ranks Top 25 QB's of All Time: Jim Kelly #21
Kelly the Dog replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a very good argument to make that I subscribe to that Steve Young is top five and just as good if not better than Montana. He could do everything Joe could and more. He had no real weaknesses. And could scramble/run better than anyone on that list. Kelly is about 15 for me. Although he is every bit the player Marino was. Marino was clearly the better pure passer. But Jimbo was as good or better in several other categories. I think they were equal. -
1. To me, all the criticism Alphadawg started this with is true. 2. All of the off season reports of Zay working his ass off and getting better is true. 3. All of the Zay is the starter now in three WR sets is true (although there are not a lot of reports of him making plays. Some but not a lot and especially not a lot in 11-11) 4. It is true that Zay made a giant if not quantum leap from his rookie year to his second year. 5. It is also true that the quantum leap vaulted him from all time historically bad to just kinda bad. 6. None of it matters one whit now. The only thing is whether or not Zay produces in regular season (not preseason) games with real bullets. Another quantum leap will make him average. We need more than that. We need high second rounder good.

I truly love my job and there are days that I hate. And it's a lot of work. Hateful work. -

So we should all consider "When or if Gugny is caught in a huge emu sex trafficking scandal he will become the first TBDer to be caught in a huge emu trafficking scandal" a fact? Good to know. -

That's not actually true. Is there a person on this board who doesn't like Tre White? What a combination of talent, work ethic, production, attitude, and pure fun. -

Hate to break this to you but stating an opinion about something unlikely to happen is not "a fact." -

Every chance we get to exploit our enemies weaknesses we must take advantage of it, that's just good, hard-nosed football boarding. Trust the process! -
Peterman is a special kind of schitty. He's physically incapable because of his rag arm AND he panics AND he plays a position where if you make the big mistake it is not a loss of yardage it's a loss of seven points going the other way.

Except for the fact that his signature bomb for a TD last year to Robert Foster "would have been sacked otherwise" too, especially in a practice setting from a reporter's eyes. -

Look, we knew that he was going to throw X number of picks this year, including pre-season and even practice. It's inevitable, even Brady throws X number of picks. So every one he throws now is actually one less than he is likely to throw when the real games start. This is a huge win for Josh, the Bills and us right now. -

He gave great answers to those questions a lot of times. If that is how he really goes about his business he's going to be really good. -

Maybe we can trade him for two all-pro centers. That's what we really need today. -

There were also a bunch of people, myself included, who were confused a little by the pick, didnt pay much attention to him during the year, but quite quickly saw the reasoning and watched the highlights and tape on him and fairly quickly warmed to the idea. I like it a lot now. I didnt the moment it happened. -
