Thats exactly what I think. Plus any word in the media as to which QB they like, is def a smoke screen. The only valid clues are who they scout live at games like beane has done for darnold, rosen, and rudolph. If its between rudolph and mayfield, i hope we trade up for mayfield.

Yeah Kelly ran a gimmicky college type off offense and couldnt make enough adjustments to cancelmout the leagues adjustments to his scheme. The post and point is right on the money hap. Encouraged mcderm had the sense to make a change at OC when our offense was good/decent last year. We we weren't even top 10 rushing after being #1 for two years.

Realistically if they trade up for one of the top 3 qbs, they could try for the colts 3rd overall pick or the browns 4th overall pick.

Sounds like we would have to trade up to the 4th round to draft him. They should trade up for whoever they believe in. A polished QB that can function in the NFL early. I dont want us to waste a 2nd 3rd or 5th on a later round qb that needs years of development. Weve done that from cardale to NP and it hasn't worked. We might as well use the later round picks to fill out our roster gaps, or use a few to trade up for a qb if who they want wont fall to 21

That 4th overall pick looks good if they don't want to go up to 1 or 2. We would have onenof the top 3 QBs and would still have a 1st, a 2nd, a 3rd, and etc.

The reason that wouldnt work is bc teams would just do PI on every game ending throw or close to it and take the 15 yards instead of giving up the play. So it alters the whole game.

By the time he was ready to draft another top qb in the 1st he had lost all pull, and instead of drafting deshaun watson n like whaley wanted to, mcderm traded down and the rest is history. Yeah that was vicious.
