  1. If Bills resign folks, I like our DL. Would rather spend the money outside.
  2. No rest for starters. Need too much work on screens and beating blitz. Jets are a great test. Young , flawed QB still needs work. This year is about changing culture, how valuable that is, and what it means going forward. That means you dont take the foot off the pedal. Id consider, however, a few personel moves like Duke active or working in Yeldon.
  3. Its such a lousy call that close in because coverage are so condensed that close in. Has to happen so quick. Its a narrow window to execute , and even so defenders can adjust to dropped coverages. Terrible call. I'd rather have my QB throwing in the spot. There's a reason you dont see that often. Daboll called a very mediocre game.
  4. I thought we should have put more on Allen. More designed runs. More big throws. I know alot of what we called was based around our defense and the philosophy that Hodges would make mistakes, but I still would have ramped it up. The playcalling escapes me. No boot legs or naked boots. Screen execution still terrible.Got so conservative late. For a WC offense , no short passing game.... Allen had 2-3 bad throws the game. The Gore option was a headscratcher.
  5. 4 % to win AFCE seems like some sort of unrealistically low PFF garbage. Odds of bills beating pats are probably like 35 to 40 percent, and odds of Pats losing to phins is probably 20 percent or maybe a little better. Dont see how both happening could get that low.
  6. This is the key to the game.
  7. This is the game for many reasons. If we cant beat a decent but inferior team like Pitt, why bother with the playoffs? Also , it is huge test of culture change.
  8. I think its also worth talking about how Ravens took away running lanes for Josh when they blitzed. He can make you pay on a blitz with his legs, but we just didnt see it Sunday.
  9. By the time Sunday rolls around we will have played 7 of the top 15 defenses in the NFL. Food for thought.
  10. This is true.... BTW eveyone wants K gun results when they forget how many short passes we did in that offense. We need to screen better.
  11. I thought the last throw to Brown was a drop. Yes, Smith got a hand in to knock around, but i felt it could have been wrangled in.
  12. Whats ridiculous is that Daboll seems clueless HOW to get Josh in a rythem. When we mix in the flare pass/ screens , the misdirection stuff, amd shorter passess, even the soft gains, Josh seemed to ge in a flow. We spent far too much on straight ahead runs then a deep huck.
  13. I'm sure the 22 will show a few misses by Josh...Im going to give extra points to Lamar because he was getting hit as he threw this ball. Set aside the nature of the Raven's offense and I marveled at how nice the screens were set up. We need to do better here....and Josh had some bad touch on some screens / check downs later on. I think generally Josh did get outplayed in this one, mainly because the early misses on all those deep passes. Again, I think theses were bad support by Daboll. Bad calls in swirling winds, and then our short passing game looked poorly executed. That didnt help Josh's case. Nevertheless, John Brown fights for that perfectly thrown slant and we maybe win (or send to OT at least).
  14. I disagree. Two plays by QB won this game; Lamar's razzle dazzle jump pass, and his dime deep ball while getting hit for the 60 yd TD. Lamar made the big plays, albeit, those two, and Josh never really did. I hated this. Not only were the crafty and timely designed runs scooped out, but Josh had some hesitation pulling down and running where he could have helped us. Improv aside, this was a huge reason why we lost the game and frankly on daboll.
  15. Look , folks need to chill the heck out about Lamar ...and his draft day slip. To be fair, if you were going to draft him back then, you needed to sculpt your offense anew, develop a whole spread offense, maybe change coaches, etc.. Many of his true knocks require a long term study, and honestly despite folks throwing around gaudy numbers, much of his passing success is reliant on the set up from the brand of offense the Ravens run. That offense has worked, and worked well for short bursts, that are apt to fizzle with more prep and over time when injury hits. I'm still convinced its not sustainable. Thats not to say Lamar is without praise; he is running this offense near flawlessly, and others have not had his total skill set to pull this off. I dont feel the offense is a gimmick, and he deserves all MVP considerations. Long term durability is my primary doubt. He's one rough tackle away from a season ending injury, and these kind of carries are not, imo sustainable. We've seen this already with both Kaepernick and RGIII. We had a poor man's version w/ Tyrod. I must say, though that some of these same arguments could be said for Allen for sure, but offensively what we are doing resembles the kind of offense that could settle down into a traditional pocket set and has a longer recipe for success. I will agree many teams got it wrong that year, the Cardinals primarily, the Phish , etc...
  16. 28-20 Bills.... I think the Bills are coming into their own, and are still very hungry and mean. The Ravens are a hot, team, driven by both a new breed of offense, but also by great athletes and execution. I dont believe it is a gimmicky system, and I feel Lamar is just the ultimate guy to execute this brand of ball. They are blowing teams out if the RPO sells and core sell aspects of the Offense line up, but they've also been in some tight games against bad teams. With 10 days to prepare for this offense, in hostile Buffalo, I like our chances. - I love the talent of Bills 2nd level defenders. I like our corners to hold up in coverage. Our tackling and run D has occasionally been suspect, but we also lead the league in TFL, and getting this team in 3rd and long will be key. - part of me just smells a Ravens stinker....they are just too good to be true in some ways, and Im not a total buyer. -sure as hell cant see them coming in here in dec and beating up this Bills team. Either way, it will be close. -I like the offense chances to move the ball. I still feel this is a young beast waking....the best is yet to come. -pray it doesnt come down to kicker....
  17. This phenomenon is completely over blown in sports, especially football.
  18. I agee, we dont need that true diva stud WR. With two good WRs, what we really need is a Plaxico Buress in his prime type guy....maybe only 45 or 50 catch type dude but a jump ball guy get TD numbers. I think we need this for 3rd down type stuff.
  19. Enough about Lamar and how disaffected he was. He was a first round QB. Time will still tell. He's been good but so was RG3. Like all QBs with his skillset, he's one blown out knee away from oblivion. This is the big core of the issue. Time has shown again and again, this will play out. I like him but so sick of hearing about this....
  20. Patriots...best team in league.
  21. This team has not gotten killed by anybody. Even Eagles game was close for much of the game. Team will be fired up to play on Turkey day, and the Cowboys aint all that....bring it.
  22. My favorite moment of the game was first drive, going to Hauschka on the 51 yarder despite last week. Fearless. I knew right there we would win.
  23. I like your take here, but i dont feel cover 1 is full of *****. A lot of good stuff from them.
  24. Nope. Ok so the same plays we run with Mckenzie are all listed as rushing plays and count as rushing stats? I've never seen them listed as a pass. They always show as rushes. Always dude, we run it! Shovel pass? Yes...not these toss up plays. It was an especially weak motion as well, and there was a marginal to non existent throwing motion on the toss.
