  1. The 10 sacks is amazing. Espc w how bad line has been and inability to run. Found this too... https://steelersdepot.com/2020/12/steelers-can-no-longer-share-the-non-concern-about-batted-passes-after-washington-seals-win-with-tipped-pass-pick/
  2. What do people think about Big Ben taking off Wednesday? DeCastro and Villanueva? Josh is working ....hurt too.
  3. Someone is going to put a helmet into Lamar's knee and he will never be the same. He'll be good for 3 -4 years.
  4. You are right, Bills do win giving up pressure. Obviously the 7 sacks vs Seattle, but I still dont like it. Pitt has thrived with turnovers, and Josh is not above putting it on the ground or throwing a pick when pressured. I dont like the sustained ability to overcome it.
  5. A few things I can't get over in this one: -Watching the last two games, how average and slow the Pitt team looks. They dont look as physical either, and just look sloppy. I dont usually watch 2 full games if an opponent so close to our game, though i missed the tail end of the loss w our start. - How old Big Ben looks in said last 2 games. -That schedule of the Steelers, how close the games have been, and that list of QBs they've faced. -I can't get over either that a Steelers team cant run the ball. I dont think they will tolerate this either. That being said, I cant get over my fear of the Steelers. I never hated them, but they are not to be trifled with. I don't like Big Ben, but I respect him. He's walked the walk. The Steelers are experienced and well coached, but they are also arrogant. I expect them to try to assert the Steeler way come Sunday night, and that means winning wont be enough; they will want to win by running and playing defense, blitzburg, smashing our faces. They will want to find the identity that has made them great, and they have been in this spot before. If this does not work, the defense usually keeps them close enough that they can change course and start slinging it. Bad weather could keep the offense down too. Statistically, no one set or scheme works versus Josh, so my guess they will do what they are most familiar and comfortable with, which is blitz and mask coverages. Again, to assert the Steeler way. I don't know how this one is going to go. From what I've seen we are better, more physical, and faster. I think we have more dogs than them, and I think the above gameplan would be a mistake, so I'm hoping I'm right. I'm just hoping the Bills stay grounded. The kool aid is flowing like niagra falls, and the bandwagons are in town.
  6. I'm just not even sure where Stafford would even have him. Josh Allen leads him in everything....what am I missing. Do they ever explain the metric?
  7. To heck with this bozo Nick Wright...his last job was a stunt double for Borat. Guy is a terrible hot take artist. Garbage quality analysis. Who the heck is he?
  8. Wondering about Pouncy. He was put on list 4 days after Conner, so may be on a different timeline. Not sure if he ever tested positive or had symptoms. Even still, if he gets activated Sat what would he do having not practiced in 2 weeks? A skill guy i get jumping in, but a Center every snap making line calls is a stretch.
  9. My guess is it is week to week here. I believe Pitt had already announced white on black or yellow, then amended when this came out.
  10. I think the Steelers have the best defense for 2020, but I would not use "elite" as a term. They've let 5 teams go 20+ on them. The elite defenses from 20 years ago cringe at that. The Eagles got 29. Bring it. That QB list speaks for itself.... BTW let it snow. Pitt looked lost in the bad weather vs a Balt team missing everyone, can't run, can't catch...I know we dont do great either, but bring it all.
  11. Yep missing the Jets Win. I like the red...would not buy a red jersey, but i dig it.
  12. I noticed the Steelers are much worse on the road stopping the run. I think we can run on them.
  13. A lot of 1st round guys also come into situations where teams need a #1 or #2 . Gabe is not in that situation, so your right...but what he's done with non- starter snaps is promising. The ability to seperate and make contested grabs...the knack for scoring...all great signs.
  14. I wouldnt argue that offenses change, but plenty of guys take time to come around and become studs. The playing time only speaks more for his performance, espc when Brown was playing. Stevie did it for us, and yes for a couple years he was very good. Davis has the traits to be a #1. Look at Devante Adams or Thieland. Devante Parker. Hell, look at Diggs. There are many more current WRs who developed that didnt make the pro bowl year 1. My guess is Davis could nearly match Diggs' catch total of year one (52) with a couple big games down the stretch.
  15. Browns have a game changer RB and an elite pass rusher. These are key in cold weather and playoffs. We've not had these. Whats changed with the Browns, is a disciplined coach has grounded Mayfeild some and settled them down. They concern me, but part of me really wants to play and beat them.
  16. This guy could be Eric Moulds. He's honestly looked better than Eric in his rookie year. Could be a true #1 some day. Not everybody jumps into there careers as an OROY and gets 80 grabs year 1. He could end up with 7 or 8 TDs this year.... What a find....
  17. I dont know if the Ravens are bad. They've been injured and Covid outbreak. They are getting back a ton of players. Plus they can play in the cold and generally play well on the road...with superbowl and playoff experience. They are not as good as last year but... I worry about them more than Miami....
  18. Hey this is spot on. Its also a huge reason they are +11 in turnovers and this has driven their season. This is also why they've gotten sacks.
  19. The Bills are 13th in sacks and get good pressure on QBs. The hurry pressure stats are even better. They rank ahead of Baltimore, epc a Raven team without Judon. Sure Washington is better than us. They also play against the olines and QBs in the NFCE . The Bills have a decent pass rush. The Steelers are near the bottom of the league in rushing.
  20. TJ is tough. Yet....Despite the stats he doesnt always snap out there on film the way a Bosa or Garret do, and gets some coverage sacks or blitzy scheme specific stuff. Definatley worry about him though. Hes been a stud this year.
  21. A team that thrives off QB pressure, down Bud Dupree and two CBs, down to 3rd string MLB. Versus one of the best QBs under pressure in the NFL. CBs also do a lot of man right? There are a lot of tangible reasons to like the Bills next week.
  22. Beat Pitt next weekend and we can talk #2 ...but I still think thats tough.
  23. Hey Cowturd picked SF to beat us...do we get an apology?
  24. My early observations: -steelers win by turnover differential and big plays to WRs. When those are not on, they struggle. -WRs have a ton of drops lately - typical steeler good D , really get to QB...but look at the QBs they have faced. -secondary will be banged up, key injuries on a team that is not that deep. -oline is not typical Steeler standard, have trouble running. RBs are nothing scary. -schedule has been weak. Best wins; Titans and Browns blowout. -really unimpressive lately. - Big Ben has looked like the old king who dies at the beginning of the movie. He's a dinosaur back there, but I still would not underestimate him. I think we can put him down. -Bills can win the game, and maybe even should be favored. The Steelers cant run.
