  1. My only beef w 1st half is Bass missing a High School kick.
  2. Not a lover of the call there....run it tick time .. consider going on 4th if close
  3. Didn't expect this but really impressive.
  4. Bills look zesty
  5. So much for this game. Let's just hope we luck out and Allen can score.
  6. ESPN ticker says Liver and Pancreas . It's terrible news.
  7. My thoughts are, Bills will move the ball and score 30+ but God knows what the defense will do. I feel in my gut D will play a lot better. I think Lions have an outrageous offense, but I'm not sure we will see such a mistake free game. This is going to sound crazy, but I don't think the Lions are better than the Rams right now. I feel that Rams team in their home dome , healthy, is better right now than a beat up Lions team.
  8. I thought Hamlin played pretty bad .
  9. There was huge running lanes open for QB all game. Again, Bills play stubborn ball. When we finally realized it, we were unstoppable.
  10. You got to question the process that McDermott has set up in order to make quick decisions in game real time. Imo it is not set up as good as it should be for a guy coaching as long as he has.
  11. We did force 2 total w last punt. Point remains, if we got one more punt out of them we win. Sad.
  12. I think this loss was good for us. Brings us down a peg. We will bounce back, but core issues will rear their head again - especially head scratches on game / time management.
  13. He's such a mess this year. There is film of him literally being blown off the ball 10 yds in the last game w snow. I wonder if he has the same incentives this year. Last year he kept going on about them. Let's not forget he got the $ prior to last year. The easiest explanation is the loss of Eric Washington. Line in general playing poor, and we went from a top sacking team in 2023 to one of the bottom 10. Daquan is also really disappointing to me because I've felt he's been consistently a solid player. Poona Ford is nails right now in SD btw. Maybe it is coaching.
  14. So there is some credence to the overall mcd blame. Our defensive line was a huge problem yesterday, given the philosophy of our D....this is set by the head coach. No pressure led to no mistakes by Rams. No run stop and no big plays on D to limit 3rd and long. Yesterday, we were even uncharacteristically bad on 3rd down and in the red zone, again a lot to do given how we run with no pressure. Usually, the factors needed to see success against us don't all manifest. Give up tons of yards, but make them go on long drives, play sound football and you will get some stops or mistakes. We usually put together 3-4 stops per game, or generate a few turnovers, or put you in some long distances 3rd downs where we can hold you off . A QB usually doesn't play perfect and guys around him don't play perfect and never fumble or commit penalties. This is all framed by the fact we have a good offense that will score and keep opposing offenses reactive and be a huge burden to keep up with. Big problem was this didn't work yesterday, and occasionally fails. In some ways it has happened before ...13 seconds being one, or in a few other games like Ravens and Colts a few years back. Bengals playoff game was another where what we do just totally did not work. Also- McD bad clock management or strategy has manifested in at least 3 right games I can recall- Texans game this year, 13 seconds, and this game.
  15. ...but you don't like to see those kind of coaching mistakes. Not for a serious contender. Less discussed was our not fielding the punt but not putting an extra rusher to block the kick. Codger may have just made a mistake there, but needed to field it.
  16. Why didn't we field that punt? If not, why not put extra guy up on the line and sell out for block? Wasn't codger back to PR?
  17. Blew the game....but blew the game more on defense. Needed 2 stops in this whole game to win only got 1.
  18. Exposed? It's not much different than about a half dozen of our games this year. We struggle early defensively regularly.
  19. Drew lock....woof
  20. This game is very important for Ed Oliver. He needs to be reliable.
  21. Man what a crazy fun team!
  22. I wish I could say this too, but to me it's looked poor even for the conditions. I think he was benched for a bit as well.
  23. Ticky tack on Bishop negates a great play for a rookie UDFA. This crew was bad tonight. I know we benefitted from one....but lousy again for these refs. Guys clutch and grab w footing loss and you gotta be a bit forgiving. Truthfully - I Love the effort from Bishop there. He's had a solid game.
