  1. My big belief is that the pass rush was not a total disaster last year and we may be stronger rushing as well in 2021 for a few reasons; A. I like the potential of this new Efe dude. B. Addison may play better. C. Healthier Milano amd Edwards good for blitzes. D. Epenesa flashed and I see promise. E. Whole DL may click better w a healthy, rested, Star back in.
  2. My #1 Target is Kaderious Toney This is the electric guy we need. Year one he fills in for Andre KR/PR and we ease him into McKenzie role. Keep in mind, Sanders is a 1 year deal. McKenzie is still likely a fill in guy who will always be under the gun. I personally think McKenzie has too limited a use to be a long term. #2 choice for that first pick is Etienne #3 is Hariss #4 BPA Bills are in great shape with this pick.
  3. The world of copyright trademarks is vastly different across these areas. It's very complex and anyone, even an experienced copyright/trademark/ patent saavy lawyer would say there are no absolutes and you are potentially very very wrong. My point is there are no slam dunks. But I would wager the Snyder legal team is far craftier and more resouceful than you or I, let alone Mr. Macaulay. As for your question, I'm not going to head into or tie up the thread any longer. There are numerous ways to challenge the validity of copyright, pursue fraud, or find avenues in fair use. If your saying there is no way to challenge this, you are simply not correct. BTW need an example of Snyder's ability to turn a case into an epic and drag a fight out ? https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/2017/06/29/a26f52f0-5cf6-11e7-9fc6-c7ef4bc58d13_story.html
  4. Ha...just I knew you were going to come at the angle of "im a lawyer" type reply. If you were, and you offered any kind of support for the notion that deep pocketed entities did not have a serious advantage in these situations...you're offering "marginal" insight... Obviously you did not even read the cited article in the chain, which also has a legal expert supporting my own belief that this man has a threadbare shot of whatever his goals are: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/washington-redskins-name-trademark-martin-mccaulay/ Let's further look at the guy's website: http://www.washingtonamericansfootball.com/home.html On the website, I quote; The Washington Americans will be one of the teams in a Washington DC area flag-football league starting in the year 2021. Other teams will include the Washington Red-Tailed Hawks/Redtails, Washington Redwolves, Washington Veterans, Washington Monuments, Washington Renegades, Washington Federals, Washington Sentinels, and Washington Justice. Click on the team names to visit their websites. This is actually potentially fraudulent. There are so many potential angles to go after him its not even funny. BTW several of these teams already exist, such as the Washington Renegades Rugby Team, Washington Justice is a fairly established pro Gaming Team. They even brew their own beer.
  5. Yeah you're simply not correct. I love the snarky know it all answer, but you're just not accurate. There are ways to challenge the validity of a copyright, and there are also angles with fair use. Examples you cite are likely a poor comparison. Website URLs are not comparable, The money of the WFT to pursue in court is far greater than this one uppity dude with a half ass trash website is pretty pretentious. It takes money to fight appeals and pursue in court. WFT has more money, and likely can craft a legitimate challenge or exhaust this dudes ability to pursue. For starters, there is no logo or colors this man has copyrighted , and a copyright would entail a larger scale than a name alone. The notion someone wrote an bull#### website and copyrighted the name of a city paired. I also question his dissenterest in financial gain. I'm no fan of Snyder but they would eat this well wishing gent for breakfast if they so choosed. Looks like we will never know. In the end, the guy just looks like an ass.
  6. That dude has no case on his team names...an NFL team would eat him for breakfast. Website actually lies and says the name is going to be used for flag team? I thought Washington United should have been the name. The name is used by several teams, so copyrights would be marginal and it would sister up with DC United. I dont know about Snyder selling the team as a factor. He's still a businessman and could have sold a lot ofmerchandise.
  7. From PFF today in ref to best free agents left: 21. WR SAMMY WATKINS Once looking like a future star, Watkins has leveled off as a complementary receiver over the past few years. He’s never gotten back to his career-high 89.8 grade in 2015, though he posted solid grades between 69.0 and 74.0 from 2016 to 2019 across three different teams. Watkins’ 64.4 overall grade in 2020 is the lowest of his career, though he always seems good for a couple of dominant games per season, and last year it showed up at the right time during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run. Contract Analysis: Watkins agreed to an incentive-laden pay cut before the 2020 season to run it back with the Chiefs for another shot at a Super Bowl. Otherwise, Kansas City would have moved on from the receiver it originally signed to a three-year, $48 million deal back in 2018. Watkins was the top wide receiver on the market that year, with Allen Robinson II coming off a torn ACL being the next best available. Watkins won’t have that same luck this time, as he’s way down the list of top free-agent wide receivers. Nevertheless, the former No. 4 overall pick is still a serviceable player when healthy and will be only 28 years old. Prediction: Three years, $30 million ($10M APY): $21 million total guaranteed, $16.5 million fully guaranteed at signing I'm not a fan of signing Watkins for that, not in a million years, and generally not a fan of him as a WR 5 in Buff. I more like the potential upside of Kumarow and Hodges. .
  8. Firechan.... Down graded punter... Restructured Matekevich.... Went w rookie kicker last year.... Let pricey but good KR walk.... What are you blathering about?
  9. Your not reading the part that says 2020 gaurenteed money was rolled over into 21 league calender day. I dont believe clinical obesity was one of the NFLs qualifying high risk conditions.
  10. No one is arguing Ertz had a great 2020. He has never been that low, and usually for all his time avgs. 65-75 % Cannot cherry pick stats or years , espcially w all the external factors for the Eagles and he only played 11 games.
  11. Pats should have signed Brisset instead of Cam.
  12. Agree ...wait for more info. Tweet from Lawyer seems ranty, unhinged, and unprofessional. My gut tells me this is garbage....
  13. Please cite me your insider info that Star was paid out or that his contract was null if the season was cancelled. He may have got gaurenteed money when he restructured, this is not his 2020 salary. Here is a base article describing the process. https://athlonsports.com/nfl/nfls-opt-out-policy-how-it-works-who-not-playing-2020 Can you post Felciano's tweet? Again please back up your claims with some form of evidence. Here is the tweet FYI, found after a 1 min effort on Google. The Tweet was musguided too, and based on early assumptions and misinformation on the opt out terms. Guarenteed money was shifted to the next season. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/agents-take-how-key-players-opting-out-affects-salary-cap-for-2020-and-beyond-plus-more-opt-out-details/amp/
  14. Your right that's a lot of BS. He was only gaurenteed 350k. He likely qualified as high risk due to a past heart condition. Non high risk players only got 150k. I'm not sure what I think about his opting out. As a worker, along with a lot of others, who went out in the world and had to earn a living during the pandemic, I'm not totally empathetic. It is what it is and I dont know Star. I just would love him to show up in shape and ready to go. The silence, apart from this 2nd hand tweet is not good though. Can Bills count on him?
  15. Man, its wicked exciting. People are way too knee jerk with the takes these days...all over. Ertz had a bum QB then a rookie guy who mostly ran. He only played in 11 games. Players have down years and it does not mean they're done. As for the compensation.....in Bean we trust.
  16. Our WR room is insane
  17. Does anyone know when we find out if Star is even viable? League year? I see Bills cut EJ Gaines. How long do they give star?
  18. Sammy Watkins said John Ross was made of glass. Hard pass for me. With track history , injuries, and production, not a guy you can count on.
  19. I dont dig the signing for the dollar amount. He's not a #1.
  20. They have a ton of dollars tied up in TEs.
  21. Too quick to judge their off season. Theyve never paid OL. My guess is they will sign young guys, likely draft a young option type QB where Cam and he can run a similar offense. On defense they still have a ton of solid players, and maybe some of the opt outs return.
  22. I meant pass defense ...Bills pass defense was #18, and much better down the stretch. We were excellent the season prior, and that tells you the fix is not as elaborate and big moves are not needed. The Bills had and excellent DVOA rank at seasons end, finishing 4th overral. Fourth, we come to the Buffalo Bills, who end the year as the top team in the AFC. The Bills are also red hot right now with DVOA over 40% in six straight games. In our weighted DVOA ratings, which lower the strength of early games to get a better idea of how teams are playing now, the Bills have narrowly passed New Orleans to rank as the No. 1 team going into the postseason. That from https://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2021/final-2020-dvoa-ratings We could all around with more data and facts, like how tough our strength of schedule was, how the Bills played versus top 10 defenses and top offenses...how they played against playoff teams. But you can google that stuff. Hint; it supports that both 2020 ( and 2019) were very good seasons..not Jauron years with no results. Its frustrating to hear a viewpoint like yours. It was a great season, and I think your missing the incredible accomplishement and consistancy, and instead can only see the few blemishes. We were 6-0 in division and beat two very good teams in the playoffs. I love that we're creating a stable base .
  23. Great move for him...he'll get tons of work.
  24. I disagree with most of your points. So do facts and data. This team came up short one game Shy of the superbowl, won in a number of ways and generally had a fantastic season. Bills had the #3 offense overral, often deferring to run because of the effectiveness of the passing game. They gave defenses fits, and their 13-3 record speaks to that. Hardly predictable. The Bills got decent pressure on the QB, ranking #15 in sacks. They were #18 in pass protection, and really improved later on after early struggles. I agree we can improve here, but not by panicked moves. This team will likely never be a true blue power running team. Id be surprised if some move was still in the cards here; likely a young Guard\ Center and some form of dynamic RB or WR. They've downgraded Addison and will likely make some additional moves for players. Please stand by. BTW continuity is no fad or "latest narrative"; its a time tested recipe that has produced excellence.
