1/15/2022 Around the NFL - Wildcard Weekend
RichRiderBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mooch saying the Chiefs finished "up" when they basically almost lost both their last two games. Chiefs look super beatable. -
New Stadium will have a grass field per Mort
RichRiderBills replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think it's a good idea personally. I don't know if there's going to be any correlation to less injuries when you have a very difficult field to take care of in the winter time that could get slippery. Either way not a giant deal to me, but will be pretty pricey and work to maintain. -
It's bad because it's the Pats, they dominated us for two decades, a full generation and just when we had them down they stick around. Not because the Pats are lousy. Like I said, that's why I have anxiety. Plus I live in NE. I think we will win too, but it will be close and stressful...and I honestly think sloppy. Closer to the wind game than the foxboro game. This damn cold is no joke and for real, even Josh has never played in 0 degree type game. -13 this AM and miserable to be outside for a few seconds. It's a lot different than a 20-30 degree game.

Daboll's Play Calling -- The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
RichRiderBills replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
The silver lining was Daboll's play calling that last Patriots game. It was exceptionally good, and we've run the ball more and more effectively. I think our performance on short screens and making Allen take a few more check downs ( quicker ) is a work in progress. -
This conversation is a bit silly. Cold as hell but COVID is also raging. Older fans don't want to risk it. At any rate game still will be sold out.

Anyone think the Steelers can beat KC?
RichRiderBills replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they could -
Thanks for posting this. These games sometimes blur together, important to see how the ball behaves in the cold. There were a lot of miscues in that game! A lot of screens too!

Tough not to have anxiety about this game. Losing to the Pats would be much worse than to anyone else and have an extra serving of bitter sauce. I was dreading this matchup just for that. Still, I can't get over the feeling I had watching the Pats last game vs Bills, that they are not that good, and we have the edge in nearly every area. We need not fear this team....or anyone else. We are a damn good team, and getting even better. Our defense is sick, and this punk Florida rookie is not going to come into Buffalo in January and beat us. Ultimately, tough luck for us or the Pats; we've got to be able to beat anyone and fear no one.

The JA "very streaky" jab is silly. He can get into ruts, sure, but he's almost always huge in our wins and reliably a force to be gameplanned. He's an All-Pro caliber player. Plus when all else fails he can run like a machine. It's been rare JA ever cost us a game, and in the few times he has, he was the reason we were in the game in the first place.

Daboll's Play Calling -- The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Yes you are right NE gameplan was a huge step forward. We had a great first 2 drive s n this jets game too. He has to resist reverting back though. -
Daboll's Play Calling -- The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
RichRiderBills replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll is really stubborn. He struggles with adjusting what he wants to do based on conditions. Like many have said, we need to run more, more creative runs, like counters, we need more RB screens and better situational calls. This has really improved during our 4 game streak, but has had retrograde moments that revert back to "huck it deep" Daboll...which usually results in stagnation. Daboll seems lost on how to adjust to weather. Daboll needs to watch old K gun games and see how many runs, how many screens we ran. How much down field stuff we didn't do when weather was bad. Daboll equates running the ball with not being aggressive....which I just can't wrap my head around. -

If the wind was as bad as the Monday nighter, more shame on Daboll for too many deep route pass plays. Run the damn ball toss more screens. Getting back to both was what made us click again. -

I think I agree. They will be smoked and blown away by the environment, wheras pats have seen it. If weather is a factor it will be crazy bad for LA. LA defense is atrocious. -

I honestly don't care. We will smoke either team. -

When there is no tommorow I'm guessing more designed QB runs...and more "Do or Die" Allen .
