Here is what we are working against: He disliked Allen from the start. He is very close friends w nick wright. Cowherd has a west coast bias. He's also interested in building up fan bases in big market areas, so usually cuddles these markets. He's enthralled by academic or trendy coaching....aka Pete Carrol kinda stuff. Yes, agreed he loves gimmicky offensive stuff too. The guy is a character, full of himself and has become above research or rational thought. He prides himself on intellectual, or rather pseudo intellectual versions of hot takes. Many of them fold under any deep look. He's not as wild as Nick, but he's still a construct.

I don't know if anyone even watched film on Williams in college. He brings a big stick and thumps.

The other guy made this point , not Colin. Anyway the point is we DID go heavy on OL. Brought in best G in draft and another guy we feel great, then several other options in case other guys don't work out. There's even a solid backup plan at C. Honestly it was good work on the OL by Bean, detailed planned work, that appears thought out and overt. Bean deserves better than this uninformed ham fisted take by Cowherd. I am worried about Brown, but Bean likes him....and he has options if he doesn't work out. Then we got bigger at RB bringing in thumpers. 2 depth WRs I personally find intriguing and cut the cord on a couple of guys in McKenzie and Singletary we both upgraded.

Sorry, head to toe our roster blows away the Chiefs....with Miller and Hyde healthy, its not even close...though I admit games would be close games due to Mahomes and his ability. Folks just had this kind of article written, or the garbage spewed by Cowherd today written the day after the season ended. The Bills are now completely loaded. Its the best Bills roster since the K-gun prime. I think the Eagles overachieved last year and are not as talented top to bottom as we'd like to think. Definatly lost some talent. A lot of rookies replacing viable starters, and a lot of movement on the o line.

Not at all...no one questions Torrence anyways. He's an all around G. Mc Govern is a good pass blocker , def a fit.
-
What the hell is he talking about ? We brought in like 5 new OL including a top Guard in the draft. Bills have had a crazy good off-season. They've nailed all their needs. Ridiculous take. DL was a bigger problem in that Cinci game.

I don't get this. Huge mistake. Frankly the 5th year option was a small error. Guy needs a fire under his ass. Would have considered giving him $ if he had a big year....but not a second prior. Honestly I thought Daquan Jones deserved this money.
-
I said don't be surprised if this guy eats his way out of the league. I thought PFF was very kind to him last year and a contingency plan should be in order.
-
He was not a bust. Had 8 sacks his second year. Had 3 sacks in one game the next year. He underperformed for sure. But he's clearly capable when focused. I have a good feeling about this signing. Could be a lorax type signing. If anything other DEs will be pushed by this guy, who sounds hungry and ready to work. I love players that take the CFL route. Again, I have this vibe he will be better than we think.

This blows my mind, but I think it's fake. Pack will be a last place team. Would be almost comical. -

That's a good point. But I thought we were not so great even a few years before Allen.

Bills have been bad here for awhile.
-
Super unlikely. First, we have a starter team still believes in. There's a reason he's slipped....he's a project too.
-
think he's more a doofus poser. Scumbag is a bit harsh.
-
It has not been that bad for awhile though. The Donohoe years were the worst in early rounds.
-
Beasley had like 82 catches the year before and had injuries. I honestly think he's still in a value zone.

There's inherit risk whenever you license out a property. They have the keys to your castle. Any number of actions could effect your bottom line in the future or on the next deal. Take for example Thursday night football on Amazon. If your not growing viewers you are risking shrinking viewership.

I've never understood NFLs model here. First off, the NFL should be their own network ( they literally already have this) The should have a stream service ( Again they have this) Charge folks less, make it grow, and profit more by running it. Or NFL should sell non exclusive deals with many people and several sources. Sell rights to Xfinity , Amazon, YouTube, DTV, Dish, etc .. Let the above run PPV games ala carte. Let them all get the service for a non exclusive price. They would make more this way and continue to grow the sport and viewers. The exclusive rights deal is lazy. Bad corporate model and extremely risky. It's been bad for the NFL. The only caveat is RedZone, which is farmed out apart from Sunday ticket, and run well. RedZone is the standard.

Florio raises an excellent question:
RichRiderBills replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree w/ Florio to some extent, but I also like the route the Bills went. There's value in continuity and not hitting the panic button. Allen is well supported. I think this team loves Davis still, and also the stable of RBs they have. They also know w Miller back they can get back on track and I believe the plan is to right the wrong of last season. The Bills were a good team that beat the champs last year, even with our injuries. We can't over think the Bengals game. I think the story last year was a small group of players did not shape out the way they hoped; McKenzie and Crowder, Davis did not play consistent, Saffold was a liability and Brown did not take that big step. The Bills moves seem focused on rerolling most of the above, with the draft left go, and late free Agency for wild card/ trades / moves. I stand to think that adding a couple studs in the draft and we will be very good. Getting back to Florio, if I were the boss, I would have made a move for a top guard or maybe mcglinchy. The money there was not crazy and could have been done. -

RichRiderBills replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol at people barf emoji Klein didn't have Edmunds range and coverage traits but he's more than serviceable.
