  1. Man just a lot of crazy talk. I'm not committed to one guy, but I'd love Hall on this team. For starters we don't need a RB1 we don't play an RB1 . But we absolutely need a RB out of this draft. We could use playmakers. A pass catching RB or a jack of all trades jacknife WR. Hall will likely be that guy at 25. A guy like Hall will get 10-15 touches a game regardless of how. That's more playmaking and use than any WR we will get at 25 factoring our depth chart. Let's add that our WR core had 4 re-sign ed or signed. Honestly seeing as how a CB will likely enter as a CB3 or a WR would be 4 or 5, and seeing how Singletary is an UFA next year....it just lines up very well. As for CB ...I guess it depends how we have our own CB2 graded and depends how TD is coming along. I believe they like Dane more than we know. I also believe they are very confident in their ability to draft CBs later and coach them up. I won't be heartbroken with any one pick this year, but man...Hall would look really good in blue
  2. My own memory had plenty buzz about Groot to Buff in many mocks. Not sure much came from OBD. I strongly doubt fake buzz came from OBD to get teams to reach or move up. That seems totally unsubstantiated. But on that note, don't think we really had a ton of buzz on Etienne that he was a Bill for sure. Most of this came after or during the actual draft. A solid amount of RBs have been taken in round 1 the past 10 years. Teams will pull the trigger. Honestly the bust rate of RBs in round 1 vs positions like WR is probably even less.
  3. Looks like OP is asking about available players. I'll take Beezer back at 2 million per year aka "Sammy Watkins money". Guy is a great outlet.
  4. I don't get the lust for a WR when we have Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Crowder, and don't sleep on how high on they are of Kumerow. Now factor drafting a WR ...how many touches is he going to get? Breece Hall ..if drafted by the Bills... will be a guy who can get the ball in his hands 10-15 times a game, factor huge in the passing game and be every bit as electric and influential as any WR on the board. Plus Singletary is a UFA next year. We know we were high on a pass catching RB to go after McKissic, and the Duke Johnson acquisition was more to replace Breida. Bills basically still have not made a move to make up for that McKissic loss. Breece Hall makes too much sense....
  5. I'd give any Mullen era gators a wide berth. Huge me first culture there.
  6. 5 ...and that is great and we should be happy. Stop with this 7 stuff. ...
  7. Phins have made some of the singular dumbest moves in NFL history. Parker is a stud and they've drafted terrible. Trade in division to cheats...oy vey...
  8. I totally agree, even more unsustainable when you factor how few times a WR touched the ball per game. Then we go back and crunch the numbers of teams w production and deep playoff runs and see how many have these high dollar WRs. Very few. Then to top it off, take a deep dive into actual performance of WRs who got huge payouts after the contract. My guess is it will look even more nonsensical. Raiders and dolphins have made some of the singular dumbest personal moves over the years...
  9. Not much looming, apart from he's up for a new deal in 2 years. Diggs has the #5 highest cap hit of any WR in the NFL. He's paid pretty well. We will see if the ridiculous Adams contract sets the market. Would not be the first time the Raiders have gone way off the market and things balanced back out. 28 million per year for WRs who touch the ball 5-10 times per game is not only comical, it's totally unsustainable. If you go back and bring up the historical SB winners and break down how much $ they spend on WRs it does not resonate.
  10. Star was actually pretty good down the stretch when he got out there. I'm pretty sure retirement does not save a team from the cap hit.
  11. Will be interested in the details. 20 million per year is crippling . I think it's a huge risk, not a real fan of the player at this stage. I am struggling with this. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.
  12. What a mind baffling contract. Jags are doomed. They are blowing money, and the verdict is still out on Lawrence.
  13. No...he is not technically Scott free from being charged criminally, especially if he disclosed new evidence in such questioning during a civil trial. He still could viably claim 5th amendment rights. A declination from a GJ does not count for double Jeopardy or exclude the potential of a revised case being brought forth. I'm also guessing the offenses occured in different jurisdictions and he could be possible charged federally. It's just highly unlikely he would be charged criminally. Frankly it's easy as hell to get a GJ indictment, so if it was declined the evidence must have been horrible.
  14. The Evan Engram rumor sounds more like something Engram's camp would hype up to generate interest from other teams. Bills are completely unpredictable with what they like in TEs.
  15. Guys cheering, lame. Mongo is versatile and tough. He's not great, but he was not that expensive. Hard pressed to replace him for 3.3 million and he will be missed. It is an understandable move, but nothing to feel great about. Guys cheering, lame. Mongo is versatile and tough. He's not great, but he was not that expensive. 16. I don't see this lust for WRs . We won on offense. Offense was good enough to win the SB last year. Defense blew it. We need defensive hammers, not more gaudy wideouts.
  17. I loved Klein...but yeah too much, going to have to draft a young LB. Maybe bring him back for less?
  18. I don't have a strong opinion on this. "Well bye..." Sorta sums it up. That being said, I'm not real on board with the "you go girl" vibe from some folks. I don't get "respecting" his decision off hand, though I "respect" he has the ability to walk. If this guy was a Bill, walking out on his deal we'd likely sing another tune. For me, it would depend on why and what he was going to do after. Hopefully he's got a plan because that's a lot of money he's walking from. I believe family is well off and kid comes from a fairly $ area -Hastings in NYC area. Heard he was a good, smart, kid but also a frat boy type.
  19. I think bills should resign McKenzie over Kirk. Draft a guy to keep the heat on. Too much money to spend on WRs with Diggs, and Gabe Davis, McKenzie and maybe a low cost vet. Bringing back Sanders is perfect, since he can play slot as well.
  20. 13 seconds wasn't the half of it our defense never made one single big play the entire game ...literally there was nothing. I guess there was a couple okay plays here and there but not one single big play.
