What O adjustments can the Bills make short of a trade?
RichRiderBills replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cole Beasley still in shape? Hunter Renfrow? Seriously we need a sure handed outlet and dump off dude. I like the Hamler idea on the outside. -

Then you're fine with us pissing away the game. He was 9-30 for the love of God. Running was a no brainer there. At a minimum some high percentage in bound plays that would chew the clock. Even if Josh got the calls he needed to just audible and run. Trying to score there wasn't aggressive. It was dumb. It should have been runs then maybe take some mild form of shot in bounds. Moving the sticks once gives us OT with some momentum. There was no scenario that didn't involve us going to OT, apart from blowing it and losing. To be fair to Josh, a ton of drops. Within this game there was a dozen laser accurate passes that were bobbled, dropped or just off by a hair. There were also a healthy amount of balls that were off, but catchable. Frankly, Josh had only about a handful of bad throws. It was a really bad day for the WRs/ TEs. -

Again not featuring more passes to get Cook open w space is criminal -

Good god w the Kincaid no challenge. It worked out, we got the ball back w timeouts and time to drive, then still stagnated w poor playcalling drive and gave it right back to Texans. This was the bad part, not the no challenge. I do feel the play should have been challenged but likely would have failed. -

Man, you didn't hit up the playcalling which was too focused on deep throws. It's also criminal how we are not finding ways to get Cook the ball in space. -
Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
RichRiderBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It does take the cake, but similar tendencies got us in the same problems. Streaks of huck it deep or nothing 3 and outs where all semblance of a coherent script just goes out the window.... especially before the half. -

You've got a good oline and top 10 back. You run it w Cook and Allen. You get 1 first down on the ground you go to OT. Make them use TOs. Worse comes to worse you punt w a few seconds left it's a safer punt and likely tacks on a few yards on the punt. -

Henry play right now is case in point why you run the ball in our scenario. -

I'd have called runs. You get some positive yards and make them take time outs. If you do need to punt, you have more room and likely get them back farther -

That loss was rough. Offense and coaches blew it. You've got to hand it D played good 2nd half. Brady is atrocious. -

Why didn't we run it and make them take time outs? -

Some really bad playcalling on offense. Just too much low percentage stuff. Brady has really gone away from what was working and we are very predictable. -

Playcalling terrible low percentage plays on an incredibly critical drive. 2 games in a row. Brady really struggling. Then... bad return. -

Great post. So 10 points down and you stop running? Bills never needed to resort to " huck it deep Dorsey O" w junk truck plays. Heck yeah, they should have been running and working their offense. -

We had a terrible game plan. Brady is the big goat this game. Dumb script then really could not adjust with anything but Madden like deep balls or foolish truck plays. I think that drive before half was a huge missed opportunity and just a good awful last few plays. I honestly don't think D got pushed around badly. Just looked like bad scheme and WRs really exploiting. -
Brady was atrocious this game. Right from the start, the script looked bad. Drive prior to half was " huck it deep" Dorsey crap when there was plenty of time to drive. Why no outside runs to Cook early?

Really bad job, terrible even from Brady today. I thought D played bad but this was exaggerated by the offensive performance. I'll get into more about the play calling but it was totally infantile and Madden esque. I did not expect it. That's funny, because I thought the offensive strategy was child like and total inept. -

Terrible play calling in a critical drive. That was old school huck it deep or nothing Dorsey crap.
