Week 4 - Bills at Ravens Game Week Thread
RichRiderBills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want to make a couple points. When we are crunching stats epa, yada I think it bears in mind both Miami and Jax games could have been much worse. We called off dogs in both those games by halftime. I thought Lamar looks inaccurate and sloppy passing. Was not impressed by him week 1 and saw the same old Lamar. When he breaks free and runs wild they are better. Keep in mind he did this versus Chiefs and they still lost. Personally, game plan wise it's an easy strategy for us to beat Baltimore. Minimize down field and big plays, make them drive the field and that will equal mistakes or stall outs. This will work, because I'm confident our offense will still click. BTW don't snooze on those deep explosive plays from Buff. It's been there and open and we've missed a couple times, but it will get there. -

The Bills have not gotten trucked by top running teams. We have a solid record against them. Plz look at stats. Sounds like you are firing from the hip there. This was a point of emphasis and a stat discussed going into playoffs the past couple seasons. Bills do well vs running teams and do well versus top ranked defenses. Yes, I know we got killed by the Colts a couple years ago....the data says otherwise in terms of trends. -
Week 4 - Bills at Ravens Game Week Thread

Meh. Ravens have not proven to be a bad matchup to us as we've either played them tight or beat them under McD. I guess the argument is a big tough team should find opportunities against a smaller nickel type D loaded w undersized guys. I'm not so sure that holds up though, as the Bills D line are a nightmare, hard core penetrators, and our system works well vs mobile QBs. Everyone is playing physical and hard, and Ravens O still has some limitations. Benford and Douglas very versatile and playing lights out versus all sorts of talent. -

Yeah this notion of "hunger" or desperation is overrated. Ravens are a good tough team, that's what scares me. I think we match up well against them, we've also played them very tough. Ultimately, we're a good tough team as well. I don't expect a letdown -
How are we feeling about the next 3 weeks?
RichRiderBills replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see us winning all 3 . If anything we drop the Ravens game, but I think we match up well w all of the next 3. I think Rogers is still getting hit too much and our guys are going to kill him. -
I agree. This has to be the issue. ...but Kelce is only 34. He visibly looks a bit dumpy, flabbier arms, more of a gut. Man, at 34 you still don't feel much slow down when it comes to looking good and fitness. I do agree he's likely slacked in his training....or at least never adjusted. Yes, fighters and football players lose some ability, but in many ways that's prime time for looking good.
-
Yeah agreed. Terrible call.

I'm not going to cry over that PI. If Falcons kick the FGs they win. They didn't play great in this game and made tons of turnovers and mistakes. They got some calls on the last drive. Hate that last play call. If I take one thing away from this game, it's that we really should have tried to sign Simmons. Still looks solid and could be a difference maker v Mahomes.
-
That was blatant PI
-
O boy Henry...nasty stiff arm
-
Evidently you do. Dude it had a fake handoff.. . Was play action lol....just lazy coaching.
-
It's on the coach IMO. gotta tell him no one will be open and toss it to a spot.
-
Was Thompson just expecting someone to be open? You just huck it dude. McDaniel has to be the most 1 trick coach in the NFL. He pulled the wool over everyone's eyes w his groovy aloof weirdness and male capri pants.

Which NFL team/teams will relocate next?
RichRiderBills replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think KC may relocate to the Kansas portion of KC. Would OKC be another possibility? -
Bills vs Jags Game Week Thread - MNF
RichRiderBills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
We' re going to get the best Jags team, but we got the best dolphins team and the best Cards, and best of nearly all those teams on that 7-0 run. ( Maybe not that Chargers game, but they had nothing to lose) Most of those teams we face all the time are in must win games. Teams get up to play us and everyone gets up for MNF. I'm meh on this hype we are dealing with some kind of cornered juggernaut. I don't even think the Jags are that bad of a matchup. Our Daboll and Dorsey play calling those games was awful. We ran a total of 19 times in those games. Heck, Smoot was the big problem , and he's on our team now. The team was decimated w injury last year and the D was a shell. -

Week 3 Thursday Night Football Pats/Jets

Rogers has still taken some hits in this one. -
I've had (almost) no issues w play calling. Some good stuff and some of the most balanced offense I've ever seen here. My one beef is empty on 1st down. I've never liked it. Like it less w this current team. Hate it even more in red zone. It was empty when Allen fumbled v Cards in game 1. That play is my single issue. Overall, the team looks like they rep and practice. They seem like they know these plays better than years passed.
-
Ugh I like Hanson. He does a great job and seems really enthusiastic. I don't think many guys can pull that off. I tend to agree w Quad box, especially when it's such a common feature on YouTube TV UI. That being said, minor problem.
-
Man, play calls in red zone on the final drive was horrible. Had time and time outs to run.
-
Meh...IMO Saleh is not a good coach, solid coordinator . His game management two years ago cost the Jets several games and a playoff spot. Some of the personal moves, like lack of building an OL, good backups and this Reddick deal have been atrocious but I figure the GM is more to blame.
