I'm not a Zach Taylor fan. I think he generates several losses per year with unnecessary risk and doesn't do a lot of good game day head coaching. I think he was handed a pretty solid roster and a golden ticket with Joe burrow and has been operating over his head. Some of the personnel moves and the firing of Joe anarumo were head scratching. The Bengals are an odd franchise. I don't really buy that the Bengals are "back baby" so to speak. I also don't believe there are any serious contender for a playoff or super bowl push . As some have mentioned the defense is legendary bad and there is a little bit overrated to the notion it has gotten better. Well, it actually hasn't gotten better. Yes, they generated five turnovers against the Ravens. But watching this game the Ravens move the ball pretty easily. Just committed a lot of boneheaded turnovers in the Red zone. To be honest with you, the Ravens were sleepwalking through this game and Lamar Alexander looked like he didn't care. It was a strange game. I think we will control the lines of scrimmage this time. Both defensive and offensive. I think our running game is a lot better than it was a few years ago. We're getting more push in the running game. That's what wins games in December. I think you'll see the Bengals are a little off-cue and though they will move the ball on offense, they will make mistakes and turn the ball over. They haven't been playing together enough to come into Buffalo and be wired 100%, especially with Zach Taylor as their coach, who I don't believe is great at preparation. I know we've had problems with our defense but I think they're coming into shape tackling a lot better and getting a lot more physical. If you watch that game back then we genuinely got pushed off the line of scrimmage. I've got to tip my hat that the the bosa loss is a gut punch. He's been playing great but I think we have the folks to get us through this game. Like I said, I fully expect them to move the ball and generate some points, but I think we will just top them with our running game and get enough stops to put us over. I wouldn't be surprised if Zach Taylor's bone-headed risk taking plays a role even there. To be honest, we generally haven't been as bad at this at home and I expect that trend to continue. The Bill's biggest weakness and the largest reason in my opinion for their losses has been turnovers. If we don't turn the ball over, we will likely win this game and everything we want to do will work. I don't expect it to be a statistical trend that'll continue. Call me crazy. Go bills.

Nah, it was for more than that. They gave WRs too much cushion. Plus our DL and OL got dominated and pushed around. It was so bad our guys looked like we were slipping and wore wrong cleats. Playing on skates.

IMO this is why they exempt vet players from waivers during early season. Bad system.

Didn't seem it in that playoff game though.

I think most folks thought going into the Steelers game any win , ugly or not, would be solid....the Steelers were not that bad, had matchup problems tailor made to beat us, and we were incredibly inconsistent and beat up....and playing in a house of horrors. Somehow that narrative changed. Folks and talking head fans now think we had a flukie gimmicky win against a terrible team that had no chance. I think that's wrong, but I also think the same narrative that the Bengals are back baby and that the Ravens are good are also wrong. I think we are going to roll over the Bengals come Sunday even without Bosa. Frankly, they beat a lost Ravens team that looks like they are already planning January holidays. Lamar was God awful. Burrow looked average. Lots of the short passes w poor coverage by Baltimore. Sure, the deep stuff to chase is there. But they kept taking care of sloppy Ravens goofs and lazy play. No one looked like they wanted to win near the end.

I think the team was really high on slay and they were really keen on the fact he was playing out of position or being asked to do things he wasn't necessarily great at. I think they might think he's an exceptional scheme fit.

I'd love if we would just entertain runs on 3rd and long, especially past mid field. Maybe you break one, maybe you get 5 yards and have an interesting 4th down call

I don't see that change from Joe. Still very sensible. He's always been ultra low on picking Bills or big wins. Guess he wants to maintain cred in that locked on group. Does not want to seem like a homer.

A lot of talking heads saying this is must win for Pittsburgh... I'm not so sure. They have the four spot right now. Baltimore is going to lose more games too. I don't really see it as oh so urgent for Pittsburgh, especially how crappy Baltimore looks.

Alec is nails . He's tough as hell and we will be fine. As much as I loved Davis's runback, he hasn't been dynamic as a receiver or as a runner. I think this off-season we really need to upgrade the rb2. Johnson has been fine and gotten back into form. He's a good Rb in the committee.
