I'm struggling with the idea that you allow Miami to have the advantage in the run game by selling out to stop the pass yet allow Tua to go 25 for 28, don't intercept him and only sack him once (when he fumbled the snap). Seems like a major failure.

Would love to have him but no way is Denver taking Sutton away from Nix in his rookie season.

My recollection is that, in general, there are just a lot more opposing team fans in every stadium now then there were back then. Biggest reason being the ease of buying tickets on-line, either from the team or especially the resale market. Back in the day, you had to hang out by the stadium and buy with cash from scalpers. 1200+ yards receiving: 8 guys in 2022, 12 in 2023. Not quite 'tons'.

The lack of back-to-back 1000 yard seasons is an interesting quirk, more indicative of the era and make-up of the team than lack of accomplishment or talent. Another interesting Reed fact: he led the league one time (and one time only) in each of the following categories: yards, catches, yards per catch, and TD's yet none of those league leading performances occurred in the same season.
