  1. In bold is one of the more logically non-sensical statements I've ever seen on TBD.
  2. Sports commentators of any gender can only aspire to this brilliance...never ceases to make me laugh, sometimes to the point of crying: https://www.today.com/video/mary-carillo-s-badminton-rant-remains-the-best-sports-commentary-of-all-time-747874883720
  3. Justin Herbert was not really a back-up in the same sense as the others. He's a star in the making. Nonetheless your point is well taken.
  4. I hear you man...there was no way I thought it would be that late arriving. Traffic on 20A was backed up to East Aurora. I hadn't seen anything like that before.
  5. A Bayesian statistics view would say the 12% isn't the right number here. Many of the teams that start 0-2 are truly terrible. We'd need to look at something like "Teams that won 12 or more games the prior year that start 0-2".
  6. Walked in after being parked on grass along a road quite a ways from the stadium as our reserved "priority" lot parking passes are apparently worthless if you show up at 12:30 since they completely filled Lot 2 as well as Lot 1 and were turning away dozens of parking pass holders. What is the point of getting reserved parking so you can show up later and still have a parking spot if they don't actually hold a spot for you? Might as well just park in a pirate lot.
  7. Ok, great. Then if the odds are 1 in 1,428 that the Pats make the playoffs, surely you would be willing to bet me with better odds than that. I only need 1000:1 odds. I bet $10 and if the Pats make the playoffs you owe me $10,000. You OK with that? If the answer is no, then you don't really believe what you are saying here.
  8. Resources (cap space) are finite, draft picks are finite, and they have to make decisions as to what to address and where to take risks. Unlike fans who can critique each position on an individual basis, they need to manage the whole.
  9. This is exactly what I was thinking. I feel like it'll be fortunate if he suits up for 8-9 games this season. Predictable, but given the financial implications not much choice for this season. Surely one of the reasons they kept 11 on the D-line.
  10. Ahh, variable pricing per game. I certainly would expect the home opener vs. Steelers to be about the highest priced game I could imagine under that pricing scheme. The Canadian border thing probably didn't fit into their thinking back when they came up with it, but frankly speaking if they just about sell out prior to game time, it means the pricing was optimal for maximizing revenue. Not that I am particularly excited about that, but I can appreciate it from a business perspective.
  11. I saw this too. What makes you think the Bills are changing or gouging on ticket prices? They appear to be the same as they have been since they went on sale. Bills ticket prices are amongst the lowest in the NFL. I was thinking it was more likely Covid concerns and Canadians who can't make it across the border.
  12. Can't believe it took until the 2nd page for someone to post this. I was thinking more like Bocce Club Pizza which is (or was) "Rico's Bocce Club Pizza"
  13. I am a 2 hour drive from the stadium. Except this past year the Mrs. and I got a nice lake house. That is also 2 hours from the stadium, but from a different direction.
  14. That was Rodak. Marcel Louis-Jacques does not resemble this remark at all. To my ignore list you go!
  15. Hey, Cheap Trick is there on Sept 9th! If that's your bag. I may go. I saw Kansas there a few years back. More into the concerts than the gambling.
  16. Indeed! I should have said "West of Horseheads" in your honor. 😉 Maybe more like West of Tioga Downs...
